Exactly, and are the stratagems REALLY so much better than realspace raids bangers like strike and fade or skysplinters pounce/wraithlike combo? I call bs
All hail Skari, the main reason GW nerfs Drukhari for no reason.😂 Kidding here. It is Skari leading the charge that has shown that passion for your army and sound tactics can lead to success, even when others are doubting and casting aspersions.
Right? Esp with the Conductor enhancement that lets you flip who is winning? In my head. You want as many harlequins as you think you will need to allow you to flip mid turn. So enough to flip like a max of 5 times. Bc how many times are you killing more than 2 or 3 enemy units a turn? I think it's better than people are giving it. But it is a lot to try and manipulate. And it's still drukhari datasheets.
I've noticed a bit of a grey area rules wise with the scintillating tempo stratagem and the new version of overwatch. Old overwatch was something you declared when your opponent made a successful charge move. New overwatch is something you declare when your opponent selects a unit to charge. At the same time, scintillating Tempo is something you declare as you select one of your units to charge. Obviously, two sensible people will be able to work it out. But in a competative environment, where is the clarity on who should have to declare first? I don't want the response to my overwatch to be "no, I meant to do scintillating tempo"
But the controlling player has priority when things happen simultaneously and they decide which occurs first. It’s the same as the Scourge fire & fade ability on their datasheet and Votann shootback strat or Wraithguard etc.
Covered in the "Timing/Sequencing" FAQ on page 12 of the Rules Commentary. If both players have optional effects that that can choose to activate at the same time, turn player decides what optional effects they wish to use first, then non-turn player can decide what they want to do with that knowledge. If you both decide to use the rules for some reason, then it goes to Core Rules "Sequencing". Turn player decides resolution order, meaning the charging player can have Scintillating Tempo resolve first to stop the Overwatch anyway.
We need Asdrubale Vect to help all detachments in the CP -generation department, so that we can actually use some of the med-tier stratagems more often.
Admittedly its a unique construct. BUT when everyone else are looking to synergies their different units then drukhari adds yet another opponent to the battle ... Themselves! What the heck?
Pretty sure you can take Yvraine and drukhari in the new detachment. I don't think that rule is specific to the battle host one, considering it's in the same box as the rule about quins and pirates in a drukhari army... Which obviously couldn't be in the battle host detachment. I am curious though, how do the rules work with pirates in the new drukhari detachment? Since you can have 1000 points of quins but a max combined 500 of pirates and/or quins... Could you only take pirates if there's less than 500 points of quins?
Don't you guys love how GW makes us buy hardbound books to use our subscription app and those hardbound books are completely inaccurate within 6 months? All that wasted paper. Tantalus will be moved to Legends as soon as the Drukhari Codex drops. As will be Beast Packs and Courts of the Archon.
Will this be the strongest detachment? No but it will be fun to play, is very fluffy and gets you to paint new models. 3 Death Jesters look like a good start. Stratagem that gives you Lethal hits on a big block of wyches led by a Succubus with a pain token to fish for 6 and the -1 Ap looks interesting. Sadistic Killer Clowns. Does it get better than this ?
@@SkaredCast Oh it seems absolutely fun as hell WHEN YOU CAN MAKE IT WORK. But it seems a bit difficult to keep track of along with all the other stuff in a larger tournament setting. Excited to see what people do with it though.
@SkaredCast Yeah you're a very skilled player so for you its probably good. I already can't keep up after nerf after nerf and now this detachment is way to nuanced for me.
this is where drukhari are at. "what if we ignore the detachement rule? will it be good then?"
Exactly, and are the stratagems REALLY so much better than realspace raids bangers like strike and fade or skysplinters pounce/wraithlike combo? I call bs
lol I saw this before watching and 3 min in realized this comment is so serious
@@Schismotive The new strategems are pretty damn good. i agree with skarri there. iam just sad that both my armys dont get rules outside ot strats.

Thanks for watching !

Thank you 🎉
I don't think you would need to lean into all 1000 points of Harlequins. I think 500-750 of them would be enough.

I used about 650 and that was great
It’s more an equal number of unis. Death Jesters at 90 pts look very nice.
Thanks Skari and Quinton
Thank you!
Love how the argument Skari gives to use the new detachment is that the old detachment has a worse rule 😂
Well yeah ! It’s the simplest of arguments
The Archon, the myth, the legend.

When are we going to get a range refresh for them. They are my favorite army as far as theme, but most of the models i like dont even exist anymore.

Could you use Fateful Role on Grotesques for two separate rolls on whether they get to fight on death?

Yeah seeing what other factions are getting is the true tragedy. I don't even want to play anymore lol

I love skari but that mic quality is rough
Needed a bit of balancing , I can’t control that input level or recording level .

Strategms are promising .. Now just give me a model that generates an extra CP every turn. 😊
Great suite of stratagems and nice enhancements. Shame the detachment rule itself is a bit overly complex.
After playing it , very complex but fun as well.

The targeted voidbomber nerf just to oppress Skarri 😂
Hahaha! Totally
I'm just excited to see harlequins getting rules
you guys can sweep for gw all you want this detachment sucks
I played it today, and it was quite nice

It’s a fun detachment to play casual. If you wanted to play competitively, what the heck are you doing with the Drukhari?
