Abigail is a 2024 American vampire horror comedy thriller film directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin. Based on and a reimagining of the 1936 film Dracula's Daughter, the film stars Alisha Weir as the eponymous daughter of Count Dracula, alongside Melissa Barrera, Dan Stevens, Kathryn Newton, Will Catlett, Kevin Durand, Angus Cloud, and Giancarlo Esposito.

I bet her father is still Count Dracula just using a different alias, because the guy lives forever, if he’s seen in public then of course he would use a different name
Aye he defo is 100% Lazar gives off heavy Dracula vibes at the end of the film and the 'I have went by many names over the centuries' line he says was a dead giveaway.
The movie is based on the novel Draculas Daughter so yeah

Dracula probably could not keep his original name since he's running a criminal empire in modern times they even said the FBI investigating his empire that would be giving away is vampirism even they found out his name is Dracula
The finale climax felt like a different movie all together suddenly making frank main villain and not Abigail
“….its close to dinner time”. The most TERRIFYING thing possible to hear at that particular time
Lazaar could have easily killed Joey but didn't because he knew she has now vampire blood and soon turn into a vampire
I am so happy that creators of this movie pay respects to late Angus Cloud. He was only 25
This was actually a good movie. I doubted it after watching the first trailer but heard good reviews about it and watched it. And with that last plot twist with Frank was so unexpected, but it actually makes sense. Hope they make a sequel if they’re planning on it.
I seen the movie im just saying if Dracula arrive a couple minutes early frank would have been screwed
Frank was never going to be a good guy throughout the whole movie he never once cared about anyone but himself it was good they didn't try to make his character simpthetic
This was actually pretty good, I enjoyed it

You’d be surprised 😅 I didn’t think so either, but I had a friend that didn’t understand why Joey was smiling at the end. Had to explain to her that they’re obviously setting up a sequel.
Hm... I was disappointed by the master himself at the end (the father of Abigail). I had expected a gentleman haughty and very calm "Dracula", not interested in a lesser being like Joey, and for sure not interested in her blood. That Dracula version was rather cheap imo.
Joey isn't a vampire. In order for that to happen, Frank would have needed to share his blood with her and he didn't, he just wanted to control her. After he died, however that was no longer anything she needed to worry about. She's still quite human.
Since it poorly performed at the box office I doubt that there will be a sequel unless it's one of those straight to DVD deals

Joey might be a vampire still Frank had a mouth full of Abigails blood which would have infected Joey's blood with Abigails makeing joey a possible vampire but not from frank and Abigail might know because she said see you around joey + I got the impression that Abigail really liked joey and there might have been a telepathic conversation between Abigail and her father because he said did you now?..like they were conversing with each other ...we will have to see
nah im pretty sure the way they turn is kinda like some werewolf myths where if you kill the one who turned you, the curse will be lifted. prolly why abigail says joey is gonna be fine because the one who turned her into a vampire (frank) died

What I don’t understand is that "oh" from Lazar after him and Abigail stared at each other for a second, resulting in him letting Joey go free. Abigail did say to frank that it takes a long time to learn the cool stuff a vampire can do. So I don’t know, maybe lazar read Abigail’s mind and could see how genuine she was in letting Joey go? Shiieet, I probably just answered my own question lol. Just finished the movie high as hell. Funny movie tho 😂

@@leialane8040 yeah I was genuinely confused on that part lol. But like I said in my little rant 😂 I think he has the power to read minds or they had a quick conversation telepathically. Idk if they had a sequel planned but they left the ending open to one, in my opinion.

Frank being the final villain felt like it came out of nowhere. He was an undercover cop who exposed dirty cops that worked for Lazar, who's NOT a good person mind you. So killing Abigail and Lazar wouldn't be a bad thing, right? They're MONSTEROUS. I feel like the ending is trying to make it really sympathetic like if Claudia was acting out to get Lestat and Louis's attention. You'd have sympathy and wouldn't want to see Claudia killed, but that's NOT the case when the POV is a bunch of humans trying to survive this animal playing with their food, who they should have NO REASON TO TRUST because she's already TRICKED THEM and said she's PLAYING WITH THEM. KILL HER. And Her dad, IF YOU CAN which I doubt Frank could have done on his own. You'd think Lazar would be more capable than that if he's lived that long
