Yep and she came out in 1994 when she was 14 but she was exploited by r kelly cause her produced her debut album but then aaliyah found her sound in 1996 with timbaland and missy elliot and ran with it and made hit after hit with those 2 at the producing helm.
She filmed back to back music videos for this one and for Rock the Boat, but unfortunately she never got a chance to see the premiere of these videos... Rock the Boat became infamous because of her passing.
Still hurts and seems unreal that Aaliyah is no longer with us. Sad cause her death was so avoidable. Her handlers and record company treated her like she was second rate as opposed to something really special. RIP Baby Girl.
“Second rate” is not true. Her brother, has said that she was always accompanied by at least one family member. He finds it strange that the one time she wasn’t led to such a tragic end. The deaths of her and eight others was avoidable, though. If the plane wasn’t overloaded, I don’t think it would have crashed.
I remember crying watching this video because i knew we would NEVER get another one from her. I remember getting the news of her death on that cold August Atlanta morning listening to V-103 and i remember my grandma holding me tight telling me that it was going to be okay. Truth is music has never been as impressive to me since her passing. You SHOULD BE HERE BABY GIRL!!! And now knowing all that i learned of her since growing up I'm so sorry you weren't protected and cared for, we didn't know.
I always put her and Selena Quintanilla as the What if's that would have absolutely been at the top of the charts. Beautiful women that were taken way too soon. My uncle cried when Selena was killed and 6 years later, my cousin cried when Aaliyah was killed in that plane crash. Absolutely know they are in peace, but are greatly missed.

I literally cried for two weeks after she died. (Then September 11th hit.) She was already a star but was on the verge of superstardom (was just in Queen of the Damned, had been cast in the last Matrix movie, was on a ton of magazine covers that month, talking about how it was her time, etc.). All these years later, and I still think about her. Such a loss. This was and always will be my favorite song of hers. It made me feel empowered, confident, and beautiful when I listened to it. She remains forever young and beautiful here, but I truly wish I could have seen her maturing with me. 😢
Aaliyah's death hit me hard. And when I say hard, I mean HARD. I cried off and on for 6 months. Even watching and listening to her music after all these years still makes me want to cry. I miss Baby Girl so much! 🥺

This is an Aaliyah masterpiece! In my opinion, this should of been Aaliyah’s first single to be released from the iconic, AALIYAH. This video and song are such timelessness pieces of art! The choreography is so ill and not so sexual. No twerkin or any jerk motions of any kind, just smooth dancing. This song and video captivated me as a teenager and continues to entertain me to this day and hopefully many more! Aaliyah will always be my #1 artist of all time! Gone, but never forgotten!
I know right. I remember getting the album when it came out and was shocked at how good this song was and couldn't believe she hadn't released it already.
I think it makes us cry because literally everything about it is top tier (every look , the elite choreo , the backdrop is random but somehow totally fits the badass aesthetic and is organized) adult Aaliyah was a real problem that we didn't get to FINISH and celebrate with her ..... Even Static passed in the early 2000s ..
Aaliyah: She was small chested. She would have gotten a breast job if she had lived 45 more years. Beyonce and Kelly Rowland have both had their breasts altered with plastic surgery It is common for female performers!
@@kdtennis1 Aaliyah was already asked that question and she said she would never get that done because she loved having a small petite body and it’s also easier to dance with small b00bs so who are you to assume her future when she said herself she wasn’t interested in getting a b00b job?

自分も、同じです。
Aaliyah paved the way for a lot of the R&B artists, like Mya and Ashanti.
Yep and she came out in 1994 when she was 14 but she was exploited by r kelly cause her produced her debut album but then aaliyah found her sound in 1996 with timbaland and missy elliot and ran with it and made hit after hit with those 2 at the producing helm.
I always loved that “ be by your side” part with the shoulders 😂
Man, me too! You don't know how many times I tried doing that in my bathroom mirror just to end up looking crazy lol 😆
@@NaturalBeauty214 😂😂
When did she do that ? Can you show me ?
forreal she was giving vocals at 2:14
my last name is Bell
2024 it’s still hitting … timeless
I loved how this was her final single. Aaliyah truly was more than a woman, she was an angel even before her passing.
She even has an angelic vibe in the video, wearing all white. Almost eerie in a way...RIP
She just radiates happiness and freedom in this video. What a coda to a very short but illustrious and unforgettable career😢
She filmed back to back music videos for this one and for Rock the Boat, but unfortunately she never got a chance to see the premiere of these videos... Rock the Boat became infamous because of her passing.
@miloseviczarko45 yup. But this song just make u feel that pure night time freedom like u driving down lakeshore past the skyline doing 90
this is not last
Still hurts and seems unreal that Aaliyah is no longer with us. Sad cause her death was so avoidable. Her handlers and record company treated her like she was second rate as opposed to something really special. RIP Baby Girl.
Smh it was avoidable
Me too! 🌹🌹🌹
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 thank you x
I always put her and Selena Quintanilla as the What if's that would have absolutely been at the top of the charts. Beautiful women that were taken way too soon. My uncle cried when Selena was killed and 6 years later, my cousin cried when Aaliyah was killed in that plane crash. Absolutely know they are in peace, but are greatly missed.
Omggggg, you can say that againnnnnn!!! Those two will always be my queens❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥. Both were very much gifted individuals and it's highly unfortunate they lost their lives in such preventable ways that too at young ages! They sadly never got to reach their full potential, but their legacies will live on PERIODT❤. RIP Selena quintanilla perez and Aaliyah dana haughton 🤍
Imagine a collaboration ❤
Bye this is a Aaliyah video! Selena would never be a good comparison
Jay-Z and Beyonce must be held accountable for this one.
All lies will be revealed!
@@newpYnewp Yup...2024 is the year of truth!
This choreography and music video in general is beyond amazing! 👌🏼
I agree.
One of her finest videos ever made. God bless you. Take care dear friend.
@@noemysanchez1353 Absolutely! It‘s not only of my favorite music videos by her, but also one of my favs by any artist, especially since it has a lot of metaphors incorporated cleverly. She was way ahead of her time!
Thanks! God bless you too! 🙏🏼

She was just so mesmerising, truly…..
She went so hard on this video and song she literally took it to another level 💯🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
She was light years Ahead!! Brings back so much memories.
Aaliyah was my favourite❤
here it is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that dance break at the end slayed me.
To think there was actually a time where it was her at the top and not beyoncé. So much talent gone so soon. She would have done so much 😢❤ I would have loved too see Aaliyah do a superbowl halftime show
She was so charming and her music is magic! Rest in Peace Aaliyah 🖤
Miss this Woman 🙏🏻Her voice was beautiful and calming. AALIYAH Forever ♾️
R.I.P Aaliyah....baby girl 😭😭

🔹LYRICS🔹
🎶(Verse 1)
Passion, instant
Sweat beads, feel me
Cupid's shot me, my heartbeat's racing
Tempt me (Tempt me)
Try me (Try me), feels so exciting
Thought of highly, it's yours entirely
[Chorus]
I'll be, I'll be more than a lover
More than a woman, more than your other
I'll be, I'll be more than a lover
More than a woman, more than enough for you
I'll be, I'll, I'll be more than a lover
More than a woman, even more under covers
I'll be more, I'll be more than a lover
More than a woman, more than enough for you
[Verse 2]
Midnight grindin'
Heart rate's climbin'
You go (You go), I go
'Cause we share (We share) pillows (Pillows)
Chase me, leave me, there's still no separating
Morning massages with new bones in your closet
Chorus]
I'll be, I'll be more than a lover
More than a woman, more than your other
I said I'll be, I'll be more than a lover
More than a woman, more than enough for you
I'll be more, I'll, I'll be more than a lover (More)
More than a woman, even more under covers
I'm gonna be more, I'll be more than a lover
More than a woman, more than enough for you
[Bridge]
I don't think you're ready
(I don't think you're ready for this thing)
For this thing
(I don't think you're ready for this thing)
You're not ready, no, no
(I don't think you're ready for this thing)
This thing, this thing
(I don't think you're ready for this thing)
[Verse 3]
Constant pleasures
No scale can measure
Secrets, treasures, keeps on getting better (Yeah)
Do you wanna roll with me?
We can go to foreign lands with your hand in my hand
Do you wanna ride with me?
We can be like Bonnie & Clyde, be by your side
Chorus]
I'll be more than a lover
More than a woman, more than your other
I'll be more than a lover
More than a woman, more than enough for you
I'll, I'll be more than a lover
More than a woman, even more under covers
I'll be more than a lover
More than a woman, more than enough for you 🎶
You're Welcome‼️😉😎
❤️ U Aaliyah 😇🙏🏼
Thx
New bones
Rest in peace aaliyah we love you and miss u alot its crazy how god took this beautiful woman from us so young 2 RIP beautiful
Thanks
She was so naturally beautiful. You can't find that anywhere now.
I've never seen this video in such high quality. It was crazy seeing her face so clearly!
I boo hoo'd! 😭😭😭
😢
Aaliyah's death hit me hard. And when I say hard, I mean HARD. I cried off and on for 6 months. Even watching and listening to her music after all these years still makes me want to cry. I miss Baby Girl so much! 🥺
Still feel as if just hearing of that day as it was mentioned tho 20+ yrs later Not only to our ears but our hearts & souls & minds & mental comprehension of plz don't let it be so We only just began from her intro of Back & Forth goin forward of what's in stall for timeless individuality organic "this is what I do & gonna share with the world" what true art of my purpose is suppose to give Aaliyah IS the blueprint of It Is what it is & will remain as 💯
There’s a video on RUclips where Beyonce is interviewing Aaliyah (or vice versa) and Beyoncé looks star struck by Aaliyah’s beauty, grace and swag
RIP to thr best RNB artist to ever exist! She was too young! So young, but at least we know shes resting with our lord now🕊🙏
Descansará en paz el día que quede al descubierto la mafia detrás de la música. Bella y talentosa!! Justicia para Aalysah🫂🍌🫶
Rest in power to the beautiful and super talented Aaliyah 🕊❤️🕊🙏🏾
Aaliyah was so innovate, creative and beyond talented. Her untimely death was a huge loss to the entertainment industry. She had so much left to do.
My sentiments exactly 💯
Definitely should've been her first single off the Album I concur
No plastic surgery either. Just herself naturally.
I think "We Need a Resolution" was a very good choice for her first single, even though Aaliyah wanted "Loose Rap" to be the first.
real music 😭🫶🏾
Ohh Baby Girl... such a heartbreaking loss.
This video always makes me cry. We miss you so much Aaliyah!
Same it holds so much memories and feelings ❤️🥺
Same Aaliyah was everything about to conquer the entire entertainment world
I think it makes us cry because literally everything about it is top tier (every look , the elite choreo , the backdrop is random but somehow totally fits the badass aesthetic and is organized) adult Aaliyah was a real problem that we didn't get to FINISH and celebrate with her ..... Even Static passed in the early 2000s ..
Idem
She was the complete package. My goodness. Beautiful, talented, well spoken, & a whole vibe.
Damn it’s been 21 years since Aaliyah left this earth. #RIPAaliyah
I was 13 that time

DJ Mark Ronson on the ones and twos in the video...classic!!
The choreography is off the chain!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
That dance routine with the towels and the way she walked like ooh PERIODT sis!!
This song would have reached Top 1 even if it was released in 2024.
That's the truth!
To good for today's youth unfortunately

Aaliyah is so iconic!!!!😍
Agreed
She died too young! Missing her as much as Missy Elliott!
She may have just been the most beautiful woman on the planet 😭
Aaliyah:
She was small chested. She would have gotten a breast job if she had lived 45 more years.
Beyonce and Kelly Rowland have both had their breasts altered with plastic surgery It is common for female performers!
@@kdtennis1 Aaliyah was already asked that question and she said she would never get that done because she loved having a small petite body and it’s also easier to dance with small b00bs so who are you to assume her future when she said herself she wasn’t interested in getting a b00b job?
the choreography, the fashion, the beauty. such an iconic and timeless video. thank you Aaliyah! we love you forever 🙏🏼❤️
She was the most beautiful girl in the world
😔
I love you Aaliyah ❤
