One of the best songs ever made. It’s crazy to think she’s 22 here. This song should’ve been the lead single on the Aaliyah album. It’s never aged till this day. Timeless.
I agree. I don't think WNAR should have been the first single. MTAW is a much better song.
@@all_that_s yeah i like more than a woman better
She was just consistent, that same charismatic spark & specialness since her debut emanates in all her work. Such promise, forever missed...
@@all_that_s I loved WNAR it was a song that pushed barriers, it had different sound and most people didn't get it. I loved that she dropped songs that pushed boundaries, that were experimental and creative...
The label pushed for “WNAR” to be the first single due to Aaliyah and Timbaland having an established sound and track record at the time. “MTAW” was shot shortly after and would have been a 2nd single. Had RTB not be picked up my radio and placed in HEAVY rotation… maybe she’d still be with us.
That “In Loving Memory of Aaliyah” broke my heart 🥺
It broke our hearts when it first premiered on the tv when she passed. We cried for a good minute 😔

💔 Why do all the greats go so young ?
My sister and I noticed that from when we were children. We didn't understand at that time why they would put that when Aaliyah was still alive. That had us wondering.

That's the truth!
That part at the end where it says “In Loving Memory Of Aaliyah” will never fail to be heartbreaking 😢😞
That haunting zombie voice in the background will never not creep me out even though I love this song. Almost like it foreshadowed her dying
Yeah. Because she already passed away when this video was released. Its really sad.
Aaliyah is amazingly talented such a beautiful voice she has the queen of R & B music isn’t like this anymore it’s changed so much over the years I miss the 90s. No one can ever replace her or be like her she truly was one in a million like her song. She is a role model an icon a strong woman who is respected by everyone in the music industry she was loved by so many people and always will be .22 is so young she had so much life in her and it was taken away from her. She was at the height of her career I used to watch Aaliyahs music videos all the time after she passed ever since then I loved the music. Their is no other singers out their like her. No one has her style her .she was fashionable and stylish I liked how edgy it was too the clothes she wore in her music videos not everyone can wear that and look good but she always did.

Still hurts and seems unreal that Aaliyah is no longer with us. Sad cause her death was so avoidable. Her handlers and record company treated her like she was second rate as opposed to something really special. RIP Baby Girl.
Smh it was avoidable
“Second rate” is not true. Her brother, has said that she was always accompanied by at least one family member. He finds it strange that the one time she wasn’t led to such a tragic end.
The deaths of her and eight others was avoidable, though. If the plane wasn’t overloaded, I don’t think it would have crashed.

I remember getting so excited when her new video would drop because you know the Beat, Style, Dancing was gonna be off the charts. I recall an interview (after her passing) with her dance choreographer and she said there was very little to instruct Aaliyah because she was just a naturally good dancer.
She was naturally talented and loved dance. All her videos she danced in no matter how subtle it was she was definitely giving her presence
She was so incredibly beautiful!
I always put her and Selena Quintanilla as the What if's that would have absolutely been at the top of the charts. Beautiful women that were taken way too soon. Beauty, Originality, Choreography....UNMATCHED
That last album she looked so beautiful. She was always beautiful, but for the time she was promoting that last album she matured into the most gorgeous woman on the planet. She was def my childhood crush. I just knew I was gonna marry her. When she died I was fucked up for weeks. I stayed home from the school that following Monday after she died. My mom was like I know you loved her, you can stay home. RIP Beautiful. Guess I'll catch you next lifetime.
She was truly a sweetheart very approachable. Like man truly an classy soft spoken Angel. I miss Aaliyahs energy. She was a gift.😢😢😢 Gone to soon.
2024 We will FOREVER still jamming to you ‼️
