46 years ago, a rising star was born. She's talented, she's a performer, she's a dancer, she's a choreographer, she's a singer, she's popular, she's famous, she's a good-looking, she's cute, she's funny, she's sweet, she's nice, she's an artist, she's an icon, she's an actress, she's sexy, she's a legend and she also known as the Princess Of R&B. I want to wish the late and great legendary singer Aaliyah Haughton a Happy Heavenly 46th Birthday. I really wish she would still be alive right now. She would have celebrated her 46th birthday today. It's still so sad that she lost her life in a plane crash, at the age of 22. She had her whole life ahead of her. Her singing career was just the beginning in her life. She would have made it to the top of the music industry because she would have became a huge star in R&B. Like I said, Happy Heavenly 46th Birthday to you, Aaliyah.🎉🎈🎂. May continue to Rest In Peace. January 16, 1979 - August 25, 2001.😢👼🕊️.

Aaliyah is amazingly talented such a beautiful voice she has the queen of R & B music isn’t like this anymore it’s changed so much over the years I miss the 90s. No one can ever replace her or be like her she truly was one in a million like her song. She is a role model an icon a strong woman who is respected by everyone in the music industry she was loved by so many people and always will be .22 is so young she had so much life in her and it was taken away from her. She was at the height of her career I used to watch Aaliyahs music videos all the time after she passed ever since then I loved the music. Their is no other singers out their like her. No one has her style her .she was fashionable and stylish I liked how edgy it was too the clothes she wore in her music videos not everyone can wear that and look good but she always did.

I can't explain it but there was an ELEGANCE/REGALITY that Aaliyah's artistic persona had that NO ONE has today. It's an energy that truly is missing in today's music. There's a confident slowness to how she moved it wasn't hyperactive or overly sexual...

I am sorry, but today's music is shameful. The lyrics are trash, just about every woman has her butt cheeks hanging out, and the overt sexuality and violence is a level of ratchet I didn't know existed. Yet they say BET is racist and trying to make blk people look bad when they showcase the artists the collective supports. At some point we need to take responsibility for the problems we create for ourselves.

She was already a star but was on the verge of superstardom (was just in Queen of the Damned, had been cast in the last Matrix movie, was on a ton of magazine covers that month, talking about how it was her time, etc.). All these years later, and I still think about her. Such a loss. This was and always will be my favorite song of hers. It made me feel empowered, confident, and beautiful when I listened to it.
