That was a really excellent video! You covered so much in it and it must have taken ages to research everything. You have such a huge knowledge of living in Mallorca and it’s great that you share it so helpfully here. I love Lidl too! It will soon be my corner shop here in the UK. I think it opens next month .. just a few minutes walk from home! Such good value! I don’t think I could ever afford to live in Mallorca. I don’t earn enough to pay the rent there, let alone live! 😀 I love visiting the island though and will continue to enjoy that. Loved seeing so many different places and locations in this video. Hope you get your intermodal card soon!
Thanks Louise. Mind you, I don't think I'll ever live in a house again if I stay living here. I think 99% of us residents live in glorified holiday apartments, and when we go back to the UK, seeing things like stairs and gardens is like luxury we will never have!
Hi Alex look forward to visiting mallorca in April I'm currently on holiday in morro jable fuerteventura and I must say the beaches here are amazing the best in the canaries and the weather hot and sunny today it was a warm 77f I'm here until Thursday thanks for the video xx

The rental prices can be even more expensive than this too. I was underplaying some of the prices. A seafront property can be double I quoted!
Very good info,,like you say shop around for best deals, especially broadband deals,there are a few cheaper ones,I used orange last year,were reasonable,but undecided this year ?,,especially with or without permanence Keep up good work

Hi David, I'm so sorry to hear about leukaemia. When I have time, I want to look into insurrance for holidaymakers and those living here, espeically for the elderly or like you said for people with existing conditions. I'll tag you here if I find out anything useful.

Another great watch. I noticed another user mentioning the comparison of prices to South East England, to which I completely agree. I have always lived in the South East and it is by far the most expensive region within the UK (minus London of course) I actually found housing and general living to be considerably cheaper in Mallorca. I would love to know more with regards to how work and freelancing is abroad. Thanks again.

The rental prices here are just crazy. If you picked up a small Suffolk house and placed it on the island, it would be about 4 times the value too if you were looking to buy it!
I’m not surprised. Mallorca has a lot more to offer than Suffolk. Mallorca has sandy beaches, gorgeous blue seas, beautiful coves, gorgeous old parts of Palma and architecture. Plus it has so many more sunny days and it’s a lot warmer all the way through the year.

The prices are crazy in the U.S at the mo but try paying the rent here on a local salary! (I don’t think they have increased since I moved here - hence why I’m working for myself) !
I’m in Vegas, NV now and want to move to Mallorca. It will be cheaper for me to live in Mallorca. And it’s much safer than the USA, no cults terrorizing the public, no shootings and better educated citizens.
I could have so many rants about Vodafone (one day when I have time on my hands for the hideous paperwork to change providers only if I can keep my number, I'll do it 😂)

@Arginne Sorry, I'm used to life being unreasonably unaffordable. I guess some people are lucky to live in places where they can manage to get 4 weeks off work and still pay less than 2/3 of their income to housing.

Much lower than the UK. Much lower. The only way to make money in Mallorca job wise is to work on the superyachts. Now that pays amazingly well.
So interesting to see the living costs & they certainly seem to be rising. Mallorca is still a magical island.
Those costs are rising, but I guess they are rising everywhere. I was so surprised to see how expensive the UK was too!

A 3 bedroom house in the south of the island is more expensive to rent in Mallorca than in Suffolk. Wow!!

:( I think the answer here is they don't. Most younger people flat share now, or live with their parents. It's impossible otherwise :(
