If you’re reading this, I care about you and will be praying that you come to know Jesus as your savior. God loves you so much that he sent his son to die in your place, clearing your sins in his sight and providing you a way to avoid eternity in hell on the day of judgment if you repent and put your faith in Christ. No one knows when their life on earth will come to an end, so please consider making that decision today. Israel proves that the Bible is true. Thousands of years ago, Ezekiel 37:21 predicted that the Jews would be regathered from the nations and brought back into their own land. In 1948 it happened. God preserved his chosen people for nearly 2,000 years, showing clear evidence of divine prophetic fulfillment. Israel’s return triggered a countdown, spoken about in Luke 21:29-33, toward the end times, where God’s wrath will rain down on a wicked world. Mirroring the stories of Noah and Lot, he’ll remove the church just prior to this happening. Once the rapture takes place, the government will likely insist that aliens, which are fallen angels, are responsible for the disappearances. Don’t be deceived if “Christians” remain-not everyone who says ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven. A world leader, the Antichrist, will suddenly rise to power and establish a 7 year covenant with Israel. He’ll appear as a unifying messianic figure who brings peace to the earth for a time, but is really just a puppet of Satan leading people away from Jesus, the true messiah. After 3 1/2 years, the mark of the beast will be introduced and you’ll have to make a choice-either take the mark and live or refuse and be martyred. Those who worship the beast will seal their fate in the eyes of the Lord and be destined for the lake of fire. If you familiarize yourself with Bible prophecy, you’ll see that current events are lining up exactly as foretold. For example, there’s a coordinated push by many governments to roll out Digital IDs and Central Bank Digital Currencies, which will ultimately enable a global Chinese style social credit system. While not the mark of the beast yet, this is definitely laying the groundwork. Even after the rapture, you still have a chance to turn to Christ. No amount of good works or religious effort will get you into heaven. There’s only one way. As Romans 10:9 says, “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
"Isn't that good into my team" = Rilaboom doesn't do well against my team, which is good. Tougher Pokemon could've been in the back, which is fortunately not the case A surprising number of drones liked the reply and the comment
@-qi8dt did the possibility never cross your mind that you might have misunderstood their comment? Do you really think this level of arrogance is warranted? Do you really think that this made you look cool? Also, Rillaboom is actually pretty decent into his team since none of his primary attackers run any super effective attacks against it. Araquanid is there to spam Liquidation. Same with Kleavor and Stone Axe. Lokix only has Knock Off and Suckerpunch, and Rabsca is there to spam Psychic and Electric Tera Blast. Venonat is not an attacker, and Yanmega still loses in the 1v1 because of how frail it is/how bulky Rillaboom is. Unless it gets very lucky with the flinches. Like, Assault Vest Rillaboom wins against Yanmega 99% of the time. Not to mention that both Kleavor and Araquanid are hit neutrally by its grass type attacks
This video is hilarious when you're listening to it in the background while doing other stuff. Based on how Wolfey is talking it sounds like he's losing every single game and then out of nowhere "this team's gone 4-1!"
I love how he keeps re emphasizing that he researched and tried all his options because he knows all of us bug catchers are insufferable about our type
Y'know, every time i've seen any of the yanmega line of pokemon on one of wolfeys videos they always clutch in a way that genuenly has me hyped, like,if I see a yanma/yanmega I always know this gon be good lmao
This is such an interesting video because a lot of the time Wolfey is so pessimistic about game outcomes. And that's because he's so good at winning that he's almost always looking for paths to defeat, so he can cut them off, instead of paths to victory. But here, because it's so hard and defeat is the assumed outcome, we funnily enough get a bit more of an optimistic slant, and get to watch as he tries to route out individual ways he could win. Bug month has been great and this is a really fun way to cap it off (and it's my birthday! pretty good present if you ask me).
I didn't understand how truly, deeply cooked this challenge was going to be until he started listing the mons that didn't make the cut for the team and Volcarona, Scizor AND Slither Wing all were tried and failed. We are in some Esoteric territory on this one. Honestly amazing content, some of the best I've ever seen in terms of raw skill!
Fun bug fact: Bug has unique interactions with evolutions. It has the only pokemon that have the same BST upon evolving (scizor and kleavor) and only one to lose bst in shedinja
@phantom-ri2tg are you being sarcastic? like yeah it's origin is shedding cicada but it's classified as an evolution everywhere official; don't be a ding-dong
@truedevinityit's listed as an evolution of Ninjask.... Which eviolite doesn't work on... Because Ninjask doesn't evolve... It's a byproduct of evolution not the evolved pokemon itself
@nykthosacolyteThe Official Pokémon calls it an evolution; i am well aware of how a cicada sheds. if you wanna bring up items though: an everstone stops it as well as ninjask, making it an evolution in the files of the games, meaning the literal code of the games calls it an evo, cool right? :D do some research a lil deeper than whatcha know.
@andrewkatz6649 Heracross has nothing but hitting hard.. no speed, barely bulk. Scizor, man I love Scizor. Is it good? Not in a Bug only team. It needs to rely on teammates and actually needs a Trailblaze and Swords Dance to fully function or Swords Dance with Tailwind support and then it needs 4 other moves and has 4-slot syndrome.. my boy Scizor isn't great sadly enough. I did fully expect Rimbombee!
@andrewkatz6649 years of experience with teambuilding and the recent Draft league really nails it down that he knows synergistic teams are way stronger than just the sum of their parts. Scizor and Volca just don't offer enough for the team in this specific format for their stats to matter lol
it would be really funny if he did that, but whenever he used incineroar he would have to immediately terastalize it to bug, thus losing any other potential tera utility for the rest of that battle. it's almost enough of a nerf that it would be interesting to see lol
One of the unexpected things I enjoyed about this episode of bug month was: wolfey had to rely on low accuracy moves and since he knew this beforehand and also had low expectations for his team it didn’t seem to bother his ability to strategize as much. Somehow this incredibly stressful challenge may have had some very therapeutic benefits!😂
@Malbondesigns he said it so seriously, and then while playing they get him to 9th seed in the bracket, and he's complimenting them, it makes me feel better as a Bug Ace x3
For next year in bug month it would be cool if Wolfey did something like going to a bug fair and talking to an entomologist about the bugs that inspired certain Pokemon and what bugs that haven’t gotten Pokemon would make for cool Pokemon.
@MattWarb I don’t have Wolfey charisma/personality which would be essential for making the video work, I don’t have a platform nor interest in making a Pokemon platform, I don’t like being on camera… etc Wolfey has all of those, he is the person who started bug month, he expressed that he enjoyed doing bug month but isn’t sure if he has more video ideas for meaning he might not be able to do it again in the future. I commented an idea that I think would make for a cool video if he wanted to do it.
@MattWarb having approx. 2.11 million fewer subscribers and likely minimal video-making experience strikes me as a probable setback, but I suppose there's nothing stopping them from trying.
Hi I just want you to know that my name is Ronja (like Ronya), and Volcarona is my favourite Pokemon, and that "Volcaronya" joke you keep making is funny as hell. Please continue.
This brings me so much joy, seeing Yanmega just absolutely killing it. That little prehistoric dragonfly heard that bug types were bad and said 'Not on my watch'.
Next bug month, 1. Host a tournament restricted to only bug type pokemon 2. Host a tournament restricted to unevolved bug type pokemon (handle scyther as you will) 3. Host an auction/draft tournament with only bug types (you'll find some way to make it work, ik theres not enough pokemon for that) 4. Host an all entry tournament for every single bug month fan; online and with unlimited entry. Just make it like worlds format but with bugs 5. That's it. Thank you for listening :) Thank you for the amazing bug month, can't wait for more months! 🎉
There have been very loud Lokix truthers in Singles for **quite** a long time. Between that and the Stone Axe, this is one of the most Singles-coded Wolfey videos ever made.
9:55 I love how he says he doesn't like inaccurate moves and then proceeds to show James Baek when he used Gravity Sableye to make hypnosis practically 100% accurate
1:14:30 I think it's fitting that Yanmega, nature's most perfect predator (Dragonfly) killed 3/4 of the entire team, and has pretty consistently been the MVP in most of the games you olayed
While dragonflies aren't the worlds most perfect predator, they are the most successful. They start life underwater, a flightless nymph with an alien-esque jaw. As nymphs, they are voracious predators, launching their specialized mouthpart to catch small fish and other invertebrates. When they emerge, dragonflies have a success rate of around 97%.
@aukloonyes. That's why they are nature's most perfect predator. Because they have the highest success rate amongst the entire animal kingdom for hunting prey. That's literally the definition of what can be considered a "perfect predator" my guy 😭
19:30 What do you mean this month has been less serious than most of the videos on this channel? Nothing could be more serious than bug month (BUG MONTH)!
@AGUJASONhistorically, out of the 23 pokemon that dont learn protect, 12 have been bug types currently, combee is one of the bug types without protect in SV, but i swear theres a couple more
I reached 1900 ranking on gen 7 OU monotype with bugs I used mega pinsir, scolipede with rockium z, Durant, volcarona, ribombee, and buzzwole. It actually destroyed fire and rock teams. The only reason it didn't do better is flying types, which proved too much even for my team with about ~40% win rate. I ended as one of the top bug monotypes Weirdly enough, I also hardly used Volcarona. It was always ribombee, scolipede, mega pinsir, and buzzwole/Durant (depending on matchup). Volcarona is a great pokemon but not good for bug monotypes
16:00 Tell me why my mind is so conditioned to a certain trend that I thought it was legitimately going to be "Tera Bug Inceneroar!" At least as a joke 😂
I'm a long-time smogon player that's trying to learn the ropes of VGC, so it's interesting to compare the strengths of the same mon in different formats. The most common set run on Ribombee, a pokemon that I love and swear by, is max SPE, max SPA, timid, sash, shield dust as a sticky web lead, with moonblast and stun spore as filler. Even though Ribombee sits at one of the lower smogon tiers - Rarely Used (RU) - I like running it in the primary tier of Over Used (OU) because a lot of the other pokemon I like really appreciate the speed control. Most singles players with half-decent experience know that ribombee is used as a suicide sticky web lead, so they often make the mistake of underestimating that 95 base SPA 252 EVs STAB moonblast damage. This quite consistently leads to supereffective OHKOs, or at the very least, 50% HP worth of chip damage, all on the pokemon who's primary focus was setting down one hazard. So, when dipping my feet into SCVI online doubles and tried testing Ribombee, I was delighted to find out that I was landing 65-75% health nukes against miraidons. I have however noticed that webs are a lot less valuable in the VGC format due to having only 4 pokemon, and switching being a lot less prevalent than in singles, so I can't always justify taking Ribombee. All that is to say that I was somewhat surprised and a little disappointed that a quiverdance moonblast set wasn't up to standards for this challenge, but I understand you gotta do what's gotta be done.
This might honestly be one of my favorite videos like... ever. I rarely leave comments, but I just feel like I have to let this one out. I cannot put into words how much this video means to me. That might sound a little dramatic, but it's the truth for me. Mostly because I've always been a bug lover, but mainly because of the inclusion of Lokix. When I saw him on the thumbnail, I almost jumped from my seat. Lokix is like, my number one most favorite pokemon ever. I don't know why but something about him just captivates me. I love him very much, but as an early game bug type, safe to assume he's pretty niche. No merch, no usage, no videos, no fanart, not much at all. For him to be just mentioned on one of my favorite youtuber's thumbnail already meant the world to me, but when I saw he was actually included in the team, I might as well have passed out (I had to pause the video just because of how excited it made me, so close enough). This might sound really silly, and it probably is, but it just makes me so happy. I always thought about how cool it would be if Wolfey ever tried using Lokix, though I never expected for it to actually happen. I don't know what I'm trying to say with this, other than... just how much I appreciate this video. Which is a LOT. Thank you Wolfey, for giving my favorite little guy a chance when no one else would. :)
This is a very sweet comment. The community that Wolfey has cultivated is full of very sincere and appreciative people and I really admire that. I’m glad this video brought you so much joy and I’m glad Wolfey is so good at his job!
I haven't even played scarlet and violet, but I think Lokix is super cool. Like a little ninja grasshopper with switch blades for legs, how could that not be cool?
I haven't even played scarlet and violet, but I think Lokix is super cool. Like a little ninja grasshopper with switch blades for legs, how could that not be cool?
I'm still watching the video, just got to the part of the tournament after the team building. Wanted to comment on how I think it's cool you came to the same conclusion on Volcarona as I did a few years back during the lockdown. For context, I was a gym leader for a Pokemon community. We hosted our own leagues (basically, 8 gym leaders, then a champion to beat.) I auditioned for being a Bug Type gym leader because I really love them despite their weaknesses. I tried/tested a Volcarona in my team building, but it never worked (I was the only gym using Doubles/VGC format.) A lot of people questioned why no Volcarona, but in reality, it just couldn't work. My main roster ended up being Golisopod, Scizor, Scolipede, Araquanid, Butterfree and Shuckle (I really loved Shuckle at the time, lol.) Happy end of Bug Month!
Yeah, I think Volcarona is really only strong with a solid diversity of types to help cover its weaknesses. With all Bugs, it's just not able to fit in
tbh I understand both yours and wolfie's arguments,,,, I just think this is also a meta issue... If buzzwole or Pheromosa she could be usable... It is just she is not good enough on its own as she is a setup sweeper, and no other bug outside the ultra beasts*probably I havent test them* isnt good enough to let her set up...
If you don't mind me asking, how was the League actually done? I'm interested because it sounds like something that could be really cool among my group of friends so I'd like to know how it was done.
A little help from a bug catcher to ease the pain. For though I am a bug catcher, who likes to use bug type Pokemon, even I am forced to accept "honorary bugs" among my rank. Pokemon like Drapion, who lost their bug type upon evolving, have been the first to set the standard for honorary bugs. Iron Moth followed suit, due to it being based on one of the better bug types. What followed it may seem controversial... Pokemon very clearly based on bugs, such as Lurantis and Flygon, were accepted on some of the bug catchers teams. Eventually, some may have even chosen to accept Gliscor, Orthoworm, Goodra, Dudunsparce, Armaldo, Kingambit (which was confirmed to be based on bugs by the designers) and so many others... Some of the most insanest of members would even try to convince that Pokemon like Heatran were bugs... we don't talk to him anymore... You might think this makes me "not a true bug catcher"... but I disagree. If you chose to limit yourself by the definitions of type, you'll only be leaving so many beautiful bugs out of your life... After all, is that not what we do in the real world? We call Pokemon like Golisopod and Galvantula bugs though we know that both isopods and tarantula are not bugs? Heck! Shuckles a bug and its based on mold and barnacles, which is the farthest thing from a bug! And most notably, to not count the honorary bugs is to disgrace one of the most important and powerful Bug Catchers ever known... he who stands by the side of Cynthia, the Sinnoh Elite Four Member Aaron... who loved his Skorupi so much, the very Pokemon that introduced him to his love of the Bugs, his Ace... Drapion... ...later followed with Flygon... The true and greatest bug catchers, those who wish to catch ALL the bugs, recognizes the honorary bug types! P.S. Hey, Wolfey, could you also do an honorary bug team? You don't necessarily have to use it, I just wanna know what it would be. Preferably one where over half (or at least half) the Pokemon are bug types... (making one that doesn't use any bugs would be funny, but at the end of the day I am still a bug catcher and want to use Bug Types).
Just to quickly clarify, this is not to discredit your work, but to say that you have gone above and beyond the expectation. Thank you Wolfey, for giving love to the bugs!
@zetagammafigma8212 It is based on the Tsuchinoko. However, its drill tail, wings, and stripes come from bees. Edit: Wanted to clarify. Another name for the Tsuchinoko is Bachi Hebi, literally meaning "bee snake." Hence, its a Bee.
As a mono bug specialist myself, I want to thank you for making this video. I watched it all, and while it was demoralizing at times, it also made me happy to see the bugs do well. Here's hoping gen 10 brings some justice to my favorite type
5:50 "before I tell you about the Pokémon that are on the team" was immediately followed by an ad break. Was that manually placed? It fit so perfectly.
"Lokix is pretty bad into Incin... Oh wait all my pokemon are bad. Oooohh THATS the problem"
the first step is acceptance
Admit you have no idea what you are doing
@hmldittgttcoatpwhat??
@hmldittgttcoatphe was referring to the video
@hmldittgttcoatp He's quoting from the video dude. Stop being a Debbie Downer.
Bug types are actually goated, people just aren’t ready to accept that yet
You know it's getting good when part of Wolfey's turn prediction is "maybe they didn't read the team sheet".
Unless he’s going against me he should expect them to read
@Ringoismybirdo WHO is you😂
@nevlincikuita834 a autistic adhd male with horrible vision posture and hearing
@nevlincikuita834 his name is Jared, and he's 19
@nevlincikuita834he's Batman
This video is basically:
"YANMEGA, *PLEASE!!!* " 🙏😭
This whole video was basically:
Wolfey: Wow, You are doing great Yanmega!
Yanmega: I'm doing everything!
“I LOVE YOU YANMEGA!”
“And I love you, random citizen!”
@CharzzTheAnimated😂😂😂
Lokix and Araquanid: We are doing a bunch when either of us are actually brought too!
The GOAT-mega!!!
Hey now, Araquanid was putting in work consistently.
"My opponent has [any pokemon], which is a real issue"
he needs his tera-bug incineroar
"They lead with [any pokemon] which is not the worst"
My opponent has Pokemon, which is a real issue
@adherry8142 My opponent, is a real issue.
@astupidlylongnamethatstoolong My, real issue
A big reason Wolfey won so many of those matches is because his opponents underestimated the sheer balls on this man to spam Hypnosis.
Tbf if Wolfe were in their shoes, he too would not believe in that spam.
I would say that "struggle bug" is a great way to describe this video
You mean “Struggle buggle.”
@ghostriposte2977 no
@ghostriposte2977 struggle bug is a move thus his pun works
Guys, do you know what "struggle buggle" is?
@ccgarciab no
Give a medal to that Yanmega for hitting so many hypnosis lol
put him in the hall of fame
Hypnoses?
Yawn-mega
60% of the time, it works every time!
That was like 80% of them at the least lmao
Stand proud Yanmega
you are strong.
Rabsca has a huge advantage because literally nobody has ever seen it before
My experience with Rabsca is that whether they know you have Revival Blessing or not, they still want to kill it. And boy is it hard to keep it alive.
i genuinely never heard or seen of this guy.

When I first start playing SV I thought it would be meta as it’s tankier than Pawmot.
1:10:08 “honestly? Rillaboom isn’t that good into my team”
-Guy using team of 6 bug types
also, guy who established bug type attacks are only good against indedee and *rillaboom* at the start of the video
"Isn't that good into my team"
= Rilaboom doesn't do well against my team, which is good. Tougher Pokemon could've been in the back, which is fortunately not the case
A surprising number of drones liked the reply and the comment
@qi8 They know that homie. It’s called a joke.
@-qi8dt did the possibility never cross your mind that you might have misunderstood their comment? Do you really think this level of arrogance is warranted? Do you really think that this made you look cool?

how to win with bug types -> gamble + predictions + no one knows the abilities + something I probably forgot
Believe you can win.
+World Champ difference
Opponent makes massive mistakes
+Having that specific Yanmega.
@92Psycoit's not mistakes. They really didn't know
Yanmega’s hypnosis: If it’s not 50% accurate, it’s 100% accurate
🤣🤣🤣
VTJdnaM
It violates the Universal Law of MandJ! How is that physically possible!?
It either hit or it doesn't... Yanmega just decided to hit.
Feels! I run a 100 accurate hypnosis Milotic with same energy!
I love how he keeps re emphasizing that he researched and tried all his options because he knows all of us bug catchers are insufferable about our type
absolutely shitting tears at the fact that some of his opponents are using his own incin
Never read the phrase shitting tears before
You should see a doctor about that
Are tears coming out your ass like shit or shit coming out your eyes like tears?🤔🤔
@owo-ec1yy I think they were thinking of the more common saying "shedding tears", and not this brown dribbling mess they invented :D
… d-do you need a colonoscopist?
Thanks again for joining our tournament!
Thanks for hosting o7
TIPL IS ALWAYS HOSTING!!!
oh, so it's always tipl
thanks for letting wolfe make yt content off of it!
THE CHAMP IS HERE 😎
i think wolfeys favorite bug type changed to yanmega from whatever it was after this LOL
Oh my god yeah you’re so right lol. Or maybe Lokix given the praise around 1:20:00 haha
Y'know, every time i've seen any of the yanmega line of pokemon on one of wolfeys videos they always clutch in a way that genuenly has me hyped, like,if I see a yanma/yanmega I always know this gon be good lmao
Im pretty sure yanmega was his favorite after unevolved team clutched into master rank, but this just cements it as number 1.
Wolfey said in the Dragonite video that it and Gio have a unique bond, I think the same applies to Wolfey and yanmega now
Yanmega the GOAT!!!!
Ledian was in the Gen 10 trailer. Sure sign of Bug Month conquering the world.
and sizzlipede too!
@piendis that really what the sentischorch pre evolution called
So was nymble
Ledian evolution???
LEDIAN EVOLUTION 600 BST 150 PHYS ATTACK WITH A UNIQUE ABILITY THAT GIVES +2 PRIORITY TO ALL BUG TYPE MOVES
You know it's rough when Wolfe never says, "There's still a chance I lose this"
yeah lol
the chance he loses this never left and thus it was unnecessary to say
1:36:25 he does
Ive heard wolfe called many games saying "i lose this", but that last game was genuinely unwinnable. Ive never seen a more one sided game
Imagine having to battle this team fully unaware of BUG MONTH
BUG MONTH!!!!
BUG MONTH
Bug month!!!!
"What if Flutter has sleep talk" words of someone so used to losing with this team he just KNOWS something's about to go wrong
32:12 “Venonat, you’re here- you’re trying your best buddy, I appreciate it.”
The little baby facing the giant fish mech

Bug month has been great and this is a really fun way to cap it off (and it's my birthday! pretty good present if you ask me).
happy birthday!
happy bday!
happy bday !!!
That's a really good description of it
Happy birthday!!!
"This Yanmega is so good it doesnt look like a bug type"
lmao the shade to bug type as a whole at the end of bug month
"I Entered a Tournament with YanmeGOAT" fixed the title for you.
If BUG MONTH happened during the swsh era he would've had an easier time. Gen 8 was great for a mono bug playthrough at least
Fun bug fact: Bug has unique interactions with evolutions. It has the only pokemon that have the same BST upon evolving (scizor and kleavor) and only one to lose bst in shedinja
Thanks for the nice fun bug fact bug month spirit
Shedninja isn't an evolution.

“I hit 3 hypnosis, we can call them hypnosi”
I think the willingness to cut Volcarona really makes Wolfey one of the greats. I think I never would have had the guts to do that in a hundred years.
Same with Scizor. I expected both of them, as well as mons like Heracross and/or Ribombee to be on the team.
@andrewkatz6649yeah! exactly.
Recognizing when a good pokemon isn't actually the best fit for the team is a very difficult team building skill
Goodbye bug month. It's been a great month with you
Did you mean it's been a great moth?
Bug month 😔✊🦟🪲
...bug month... 😭🪲
Bug month!!!
"THEY CRIT ME AGAAAAAAIIINNNNN" had me howling
So we just forgot about Tera Bug-Incineroar, the best bug type ever?
it would be really funny if he did that, but whenever he used incineroar he would have to immediately terastalize it to bug, thus losing any other potential tera utility for the rest of that battle. it's almost enough of a nerf that it would be interesting to see lol
but we remember the best Mega pokemon, Yan
@czarnemo5195that was a good joke it made me laugh so hard
Terra big incinorhands
It doesn't count
It’s the last day of BUG MONTH!!! 🐞😢
BUG MONTH!!!!
@jackburleigh4350BUG MONTH!!!
BUG MONTH 🎉🎉🎉
He will do it again 2 years from now totally
BUG MONTH!!!
Wolfe turned lokix from a singles menace to a doubles menace 😂
And he set up stealth rocks! Smogon players taking dubs
1:27:10 almost any ability players: yeah I’ve heard of tinted lens….
That yanmega was goat too, the lokix ability was so funny.
34:07 "All my pokemon are bad. Oh that's the problem....right." Had me laughing so hard
Me too 😂 he said it so seriously
@Malbondesigns he said it so seriously, and then while playing they get him to 9th seed in the bracket, and he's complimenting them, it makes me feel better as a Bug Ace x3
1:48:38 It's so funny how Wolfe reprimands his team after the double miss like a teacher disciplining schoolchildren
1:23:35 "My suspiciously sound type shaped Yanmega" was very funny for no reason
Someone need to do a fanart for a suspiciously sound type shaped Yanmega
For next year in bug month it would be cool if Wolfey did something like going to a bug fair and talking to an entomologist about the bugs that inspired certain Pokemon and what bugs that haven’t gotten Pokemon would make for cool Pokemon.
Why don’t you go and do that yourself?
@MattWarb I don’t have Wolfey charisma/personality which would be essential for making the video work, I don’t have a platform nor interest in making a Pokemon platform, I don’t like being on camera… etc
Wolfey has all of those, he is the person who started bug month, he expressed that he enjoyed doing bug month but isn’t sure if he has more video ideas for meaning he might not be able to do it again in the future. I commented an idea that I think would make for a cool video if he wanted to do it.
@MattWarb having approx. 2.11 million fewer subscribers and likely minimal video-making experience strikes me as a probable setback, but I suppose there's nothing stopping them from trying.
@haosmagnaingram6992holy yapper
Damn why the hate on this idea
"so good, it doesn't look like a bug type" - high praise for a bug type 1:31:45
Hi I just want you to know that my name is Ronja (like Ronya), and Volcarona is my favourite Pokemon, and that "Volcaronya" joke you keep making is funny as hell. Please continue.
that's so cute omg 😭
😂 so funny
Eyyy, fellow Volcarona fan
@sythrusVolcaroña
Where did you get this picture from Ronja?
After this video, Yanmega deserves a mega and it be the first dragon/bug
MEGA YANMEGA
No, Yanmega deserves a full evolution into a dragon/bug.
Yangigadrago
Yanmegaest
AAAAAA
This brings me so much joy, seeing Yanmega just absolutely killing it.
That little prehistoric dragonfly heard that bug types were bad and said 'Not on my watch'.
It's now time for bug month to pupate for another year, after which it'll emerge bigger and better than ever
Not with good stats, of course. Better stats than before, but still awful.
it will pupate for two years
and with whats probably a 4x rock weakness
Next bug month,
1. Host a tournament restricted to only bug type pokemon
2. Host a tournament restricted to unevolved bug type pokemon (handle scyther as you will)
3. Host an auction/draft tournament with only bug types (you'll find some way to make it work, ik theres not enough pokemon for that)
4. Host an all entry tournament for every single bug month fan; online and with unlimited entry. Just make it like worlds format but with bugs
5. That's it. Thank you for listening :)
Thank you for the amazing bug month, can't wait for more months! 🎉
These are awesome ideas hopefully we see them next year in BUG MONTH!
I am hoping and praying for this to happen. Each and every last one of those ideas would make one heck of a banger video!
Take away Scyther’s item slot, treat it like a mega
Bro just listed his recent videos but with bugs involved
i cant wait for the mono bug not fully evolved challange
wolfe would do that in little cup lmao
"When +4 Nymble is good, it is so good!" - Wolfe Glick, 2031
Not "fully" evolved? More like "not evolved at all"!
"Guys if you think about it eviolite metapod is really good!"
honestly what i learned from this video is that araquanid and lokix are just goated with the sauce
Araquanid has always been good in competitive singles, it makes me happy knowing it's actually not that bad in VGC either
There have been very loud Lokix truthers in Singles for **quite** a long time. Between that and the Stone Axe, this is one of the most Singles-coded Wolfey videos ever made.
This bug representation is so beautiful it’d made Guzma cry✊🥹
9:55 I love how he says he doesn't like inaccurate moves and then proceeds to show James Baek when he used Gravity Sableye to make hypnosis practically 100% accurate
Coming next bug month: how gen 10's new bug type pokemon took over the meta
bro talks to himself so well i thought he was streaming until 2:05:00 😭✌🏻
13:41 WRONG! Actually he picked it because it is the only Pokemon that is purple! (Cool bug fact)
Correct
Only bug pokemon that is purple?
...Genesect? 🤔
@ShycoWar nah... wolfey's cool bug fact is true and never wrong
@GustavoDallarosa-br5oqonly pokemon
I most enjoyed the recurring bit of the "bug month" clone quoir.
8:17 VIKAVOLT AND CHARJABUG MENTIONED THATS GOOD ENOUGH FOR ME. But I would someday love to see a trick room team with vikavolt as the carry :,)
@madjack141Perfect predators would not have other predators, they wouldn't be eaten by other animals.
@aukloonwhy would that be a requirement? We're worried about their effectiveness at being a predator, not at if other things eat them
@aukloonyou’re talking about an apex predator not a perfect predator
Can’t wait for someone to come out if nowhere and make a video titled “How I beat WolfeyVGC’s strongest* tournament team”
*During Bug Month
And it's one of the players that lost 1-2.
They didn't say they won the set! One win out of three is one win.
THE RETURN OF YANMEGA
19:30 What do you mean this month has been less serious than most of the videos on this channel? Nothing could be more serious than bug month (BUG MONTH)!
3:32 at least there is 1 great move in doubles, one of the best doubles moves, that a lot of bug types can learn: protect!
Yeah!! Every single bug type! They even shared it with literally almost everyone else! How bugs can be so generous.
@AGUJASONhistorically, out of the 23 pokemon that dont learn protect, 12 have been bug types
currently, combee is one of the bug types without protect in SV, but i swear theres a couple more
Not every bug type. One bug type cant even learn a single normal move, period. RIP weedle
@elfabrip why does gamefreak hate bug pokemon so much. To not even give a lot of them protect.
I reached 1900 ranking on gen 7 OU monotype with bugs
I used mega pinsir, scolipede with rockium z, Durant, volcarona, ribombee, and buzzwole. It actually destroyed fire and rock teams. The only reason it didn't do better is flying types, which proved too much even for my team with about ~40% win rate. I ended as one of the top bug monotypes
Weirdly enough, I also hardly used Volcarona. It was always ribombee, scolipede, mega pinsir, and buzzwole/Durant (depending on matchup). Volcarona is a great pokemon but not good for bug monotypes
i actually cant believe this bug team won that many games against regulation F's finest
Imagine if it was reg H.
16:00 Tell me why my mind is so conditioned to a certain trend that I thought it was legitimately going to be "Tera Bug Inceneroar!" At least as a joke 😂
Too much internet
I just seen venonat eat a surging strikes
7:00 even tera bug Incineroar?
The indomitable bug catcher spirit
Incredible comment. It warmed my heart a lot to see this!
This is a very sweet comment. The community that Wolfey has cultivated is full of very sincere and appreciative people and I really admire that. I’m glad this video brought you so much joy and I’m glad Wolfey is so good at his job!
he's UU in smogon which is actually pretty good
I haven't even played scarlet and violet, but I think Lokix is super cool. Like a little ninja grasshopper with switch blades for legs, how could that not be cool?
I haven't even played scarlet and violet, but I think Lokix is super cool. Like a little ninja grasshopper with switch blades for legs, how could that not be cool?
Oh so the no legendary bug type videos was a very pointed comment lol
it is funny that wolfey, the guy who hates inaccuracy so much, ended up relying on yanmega hypnosis for basically every game
Rip BUG MONTH we will miss you till next year
I heard next month is a bug month
With all Bugs, it's just not able to fit in
Sounds like something I'm doing on cobblemon right now lol
tbh I understand both yours and wolfie's arguments,,,, I just think this is also a meta issue... If buzzwole or Pheromosa she could be usable... It is just she is not good enough on its own as she is a setup sweeper, and no other bug outside the ultra beasts*probably I havent test them* isnt good enough to let her set up...
Shuckle woooohooo!
If you don't mind me asking, how was the League actually done? I'm interested because it sounds like something that could be really cool among my group of friends so I'd like to know how it was done.
Pov: you deal with a bug catcher who grew up with a dragon fly and now it hardly misses hypnosis with the power of friendship
8:34 so excited for mono snom
Yanmega the true mega pokemon
I need mega yanmega
To be honest how does wolfey still have hair, i feel like he’s always stressing and overthinking 😂
Yknow, that's a good question.
I think the best bug pokemon is Missingno.
I mean, it sets your sixth slot's item quantity to like +126 or something. Who does that?
@Onmurmissingno is a ghost and rock type pokemon because of the fossil sprite and the ghost sprite
Dudunsparce is based on a tsuchinoko, which is a snake.
@zetagammafigma8212 It is based on the Tsuchinoko.
However, its drill tail, wings, and stripes come from bees.
Edit:
Wanted to clarify. Another name for the Tsuchinoko is Bachi Hebi, literally meaning "bee snake."
Hence, its a Bee.
That Yanma was an absolute menace. Lokix was great too but none of that would have worked without Yanmega hitting and flinching out of its mind.
I think Araquanid also deserves a shout-out
Imagine playing online and facing and losing to this team😂 Is it just me or are these types of videos extremely entertaining
Never thought I'd see the day that the Yanma line would become a regular on the Wolfe Glick channel
and consistently keeps shocking wolfe with how good it is
It took Wolfey 8 months to recover from this challenge...🥀
And he did it again! 😭
Omg I can't...🥀🥀🥀
As a mono bug specialist myself, I want to thank you for making this video. I watched it all, and while it was demoralizing at times, it also made me happy to see the bugs do well. Here's hoping gen 10 brings some justice to my favorite type
I'll miss bug month, but I'm exited for... "ROCK MONTH"!
Yanmega is blessed with the mandates of heaven
THIS GUY HIT MORE HYNOSIS IN ONE TOURNAMENT THEN I EVER HAVE IN MY L I F E
Rock month march
Ghost month april
"August?" More like "a ghost"
Fighting month May
@DrMichealTako nah, august should be Fairy month
@thehermiteal no, that should be June lol 🏳️🌈
This video is basically "this is good for me.... this is bad for me..." every few minutes. Great background noise.
50:00 I was crying with you wolfe, oh my god the audacity of that crit
crit of despair and doom 😂😂😂
Some hot and utter Blaze Breed Tauroscrap
What. A game lot of sleep luck lol
14:10
Say it with me
"If it's not 100% accurate
It's 50% accurate"
also 30% is 100%
focus blast will never land and air slash will always flinch.
At this point bro is doing side quests in official tournaments 😂
11:46 YES! MY BOY LOKIX! THE KAMEN RIDER HIMSELF, FINALY GETTING TO DO SOMETHING
The BUG MONTH (BUG MONTH!!!) finale is here!
Yawnmega? No that's John Mega.
5:50 "before I tell you about the Pokémon that are on the team" was immediately followed by an ad break. Was that manually placed? It fit so perfectly.
Nope - I didn’t get one
A double ad for me 😂
Lol same
Same for me
Happened to me too
Never thought I would catch myself saying randomly BUG MONTH
I like how Wolfe missed Amoonguss so much in this challenge that he literally invented Amoonguss at home.
16:24 he missed the opportunity to say "the scientificly proven most crappy pokemon" 😂
Wolfey don't tease me with that Mono-Ice challenge...
1:32:45
"If you're up for it I can make some time tomorrow for training. Up and early tomorrow Wolf."
