the barrel unscrews and has a feeder tube. i would post a video of mine, but unfortunately something failed in the trigger mechanism and i am unable to unscrew the barrel because it's still pressurized from when i pumped it. so i am going to have to take it apart and find out what part failed so i can replace it.
@@williampowell4817 I found out the problem..there were bbs in the spring that would not allow the spring to pull back for the load..thank you for the response. This gun does not have much power, is that typical? will not penetrate anything but a paper target
@@reneebrown9171 i do not think that these BB guns are as powerful as their modern cousins, however it could also be due to worn out seals, i have read that if you apply some oil to them it helps restore some of their original power. mine would puncture plastic milk jugs and embed the BBs in trees. so you may want to try adding oil to the oil service hole on the top of the barrel, if that doesn't work you may have to replace the seals on it.
@@williampowell4817 I oiled it before load or shoot, I will need figure out the dismantle I guess and check out the seals. I only got so far in the dismantle before doubt of reassemble set in,,lol could not figure out how to get the stock off, the carry strap bracket would not allow it to slide off and I stopped my curiosity. thank you for your reply to my issue.
Well,… if I’ve freshly over-oiled my Daisy 99,… it’ll technically shoot full auto. Meaning,… it’ll shoot any number of multiple bbs between 2 and 5 with one cock and pull of a trigger. It has no functional utility whatsoever, but yeah, over oiling, or too thin oil will technically result in full auto. Albeit, my Daisy 99 is an original launch model, with the 50 bb spring loaded magazine-barrel and probably needs special attention to the compression valve. It’s absurdly accurate as far as hitting the target you aim at, but whoa nelly, it’s pathetically weak. One time, I popped a pest of a chipmunk right upside the head at about six yards, and hardly phased it even. It just looked around, mildly annoyed as if I pegged it with a spit ball. It wasn’t even bothered enough to run off. I’d be pleased as punch if it would hit the target even half as hard as it is accurate.
