    Nice video, I enjoyed seeing you showcase all of these designs and you have a nice attitude. However there is one thing I feel like pointing out:
    You spend 30 seconds from 11:20 saying that the design is exactly the same as the existing creative cloud other than the glass effect. Seriously? It’s a complete redesign to make the app feel like a native macOS app. Everything is slightly changed to make it feel more native, from the sidebar and the top bar being the same component removing the lines between them, to the font, to the search bar being embedded in the title bar with the tabs, etc. every single component is thought over and redesigned to match the new aesthetic.
    I wouldn’t say it’s “the same except for the glass effect” and I think saying that is a little shortsighted, and misses the point.
    Also and this is unrelated I really wanted you to press that button at 3:53.

    I was surprised _jQuery_ was ever a thing. I tried learning it early in my JS learning experience, but it was so hard to understand since a lot of things that was going on was hidden to you, so to me, it wasn't easier, it became harder than vanilla JS.

    • @twiggy99
      @twiggy99 2 года назад +2

      It was a life saver in the mid 2000s when it was released, mainly down to it solving cross browser compatibility issues. Vanilla javascript was a dumpster fire back then and is nothing like the JS we have now or in the last 5-10 years. jQuery served its purpose in a time when it was needed

      @@JD2jr. Aha, thank you very much. I will take a look at it. But then, I don't know, it doesn't completely feel like I understand the code that I am using, you know? I just think that Ed can explain it really well and then it just makes more sense to me.

    • @Devthlete
      @Devthlete 2 года назад

      @@maurovanderflaes1323 that's how a programmer's job looks like most of the time. You have to work with code you haven't written and you don't understand it in the beginning. Codepen lets you edit the source code and gives you immediate feedback on the preview so you can play with it and learn. If you don't understand anything maybe it's too early for you to make things of this level of advancement.

    • @maurovanderflaes1323
      @maurovanderflaes1323 2 года назад

      @@Devthlete I am currently still a student but I can already code for a few years. So I do know how things go regularly in the job and am already somewhat familiar with codepen. In my previous years, they always taught me to write all the code myself because I often learnt the most from this. I still try to keep this up whenever I learn something new. That's why I had my original question for Ed to explain or build these things step by step. I personally just learn better from him than from the "completely correct code" in codepen. I hope this helps you understand me better with what I mean haha. But thanks for the responses!!!

    Hmmm seems you add very little to the content. You’re simply smiling and nodding at it. Just being a bit goofy adds nothing for people who are designers and developers - new and aspiring. Why not expand and explore the technique and libraries used, instead of getting corrected in the comments.
