    You say it's not very exciting, but I disagree! It's fascinating to watch the finished form appear from the casting. Great tip on the block to support the piece during filing. Duly noted.

    Good video and very, very helpful. Your skills and craftsmanship are quickly evident and enjoyable to watch. ( I'm sure having a confident shop dog supervising things is a great help too.)

    Keep up the great work Jim your taking this endeavor the direction that "things" need to go. Dismiss all the " jealousy" in it. I'll be putting in an order when you offer a fowler PLEASE make a jug choked option I'm pretty much local to you just across the Ohio line I'll pick it up and will bring the beer.

    I engrave the brass parts on long rifles. I can appreciate a well prepared surface.

    Really glad I found this channel. I've been trying to recreate a fine flint lock for many years and have had some success on some Lemans and half stocks, but I have learned more in a couple of your videos than I have learned on my own in the many years of trial and error. Thanks.

    Would it be possible to film a good how-to on the Patina Solution on the brass parts or barrel that you also sell with these? Thank you for these; they are incredibly helpful and show your attention to detail and quality.

      Absolutely. We'll be doing a video on the patination process in time. Thanks for the patience.

    Jim - it was great meeting you and Katherine the other day. These videos are extremely helpful! Question on the trigger guard, I imagine you would finish the bottom exposed section also. Is that correct?

    Jim, where did you buy your vise, that's awesome how it pivots. I want one!

    • @kiblerjim
      @kiblerjim  5 месяцев назад

      This is a custom-made vise that is not commercially available. We do sell a vise that is great for a hobbyist- kiblerslongrifles.com/products/stock-makers-vise?_pos=1&_psq=vise&_ss=e&_v=1.0
