Civil servants के परिवार में जन्मी दुर्गा शुरू से ही UPSC exam crack करना चाहती थी और उन्होंने वो किया भी. IAS officer का पद सँभालने के बाद समाज की सेवा उनके जीवन का उद्देश्य बना.
उन्होंने खनन माफिया के विरुद्ध जंग छेड़ी, open defecation के बारे में लोगो को aware किया और साथ ही tree plantation drive में बहुत एहम भूमिका निभाई.

Durga, born in the family of civil servants, wanted to crack the UPSC exam right from the beginning and she did it too. After becoming an IAS officer, service to the society became the objective of her life. She waged a war against the sand mining mafia, made people aware of open defecation and played a very important role in tree plantation drive. Her will-power, courage and determination for work has never decreased and that is why today she is an inspiration not only to us but also to many civil servants.
