  • Cleburne State Park is one of the beautiful state parks in Texas. This park has a small lake of 116 acres. This park offers beautiful natural beauty, a relaxing environment beside the Cedar Lake and a good amount of other recreational facilities. It has a CCC made earthen dam and a beautiful spillway. This video might be helpful for park goers with preliminary information regarding the park and an idea about the day use area and some trails. This park has some nice trails with nice scenic views. I have covered several trails and the spillway in this video.

Been there 2 times and both times the spillway was completely dry. Good to see what it looks like with water running through it

Thank you for the comment. It really looks good when the water runs through it.

Beautiful park! How long is the hike to the waterfall/spillway? How hot was it when you went there?

Thank you! It doesn’t take much time to go through white tail hollow trail. To the spillway as it is only 0.32 miles. It doesn’t have much elevation too. It is easy hike that way. I went there this year after the spring rains (May 18), it was hot, but not much hot.
