Watched all of your early videos, convinced me to get into armed security and just recently finished the process. Hope there are many more videos to come man, genuinely enjoy them.
I just quit my security job for Sunstates. My manager or "captain" threatened to fire me on site. I worked 3rd only on weekends and was never trained once at the site. While I was there the captain never worked alongside me. The first time she worked with me was when she did a spot check. Then noticed I done something wrong and threatened my job over it. Hopefully this gives you a good video idea 💡 I personally don't believe managers threatening your job as a way to get you moving is necessary. In my case this was the first time i was disciplined and the first time i worked with her. Anyways thanks! For the updates. I live in North Carolina aswell.. around Winston Salem area.
@@defcon3security782 your right though, sometimes we just gotta go for it and not think too much, or else I'll never move forward lol. I was on cruise control for most of the pandemic but its coming to a point were I think I need a change of scene and upgrade and the only way up is to put myself out there! :) Thanks, Hope to see you posting more videos again! :)
Is there any expediting the process of becoming a lvl 3 armed guard in a constitutional carry state as prior USMC infantry team lead? I'm about to figure it out for myself anyhow, just biding my time until college haha, cheers brotha
Yeah I get that it's going to be one of the hard part's about going back to day shift but trying to sleep everyday during the day it's so difficult and then on my off days trying to sleep at night only to go back to days will drive a person crazy
I can make a guess as to where you are working and who you are working for. I honestly think we may be working for the same company in differently contracted locations in the same state (NC). Graves suck! and if you are working graves in the same aspect that I am, its hell on earth. I've only been employed a week and they're already talking about offering me Sergent for a $5/hr pay bump. Boring shifts with no cell phones and limited on what we can bring on site. Not even unapproved books to read! Not sure how much later I'll be at this post as I have an interview tomorrow for $2/hr more!
Then it sounds like we are at the same place going to Sergeant is a little bit more than five bucks though email me and we can talk a little more but I do agree graveyard sucks that's why I cannot wait to go to days hopefully change things up a little bit

@@defcon3security782 I feel u man I'm just so used to it I've been doing Graveyard for so many years when I have to work FEMA government jobs it's always day shift so I get that feeling you are describing during that time lol it's crazy man it's like it's to bright outside the sun will give me a migraine and I'm just so out of it almost zombie-like. It's definitely tuff it takes a lot of adjustments to get used to that's for sure.

I was stuck with the 1am to 9am shift it was 26 a hour 40 hours a week didn’t last 2 months can’t do a night shift like that ever again.

Worked night shift security at an ER for a year. Pros and cons for sure. Good luck out there
So you definitely know obviously one of the biggest cons is your health there is no amount of adjusting that will ever make working nights healthier
For sure. You just gotta do the best you can. Get some good and consistent nutrition and make it to the finish line. It’s not forever

Do you prefer day shift or swing shift ?
I think I like swing shift better but I don't mind day definitely not night shift
