Couldn’t be anymore impressed with this dudes maturity and personality. He is really becomes the anchor of that oline over time. Hes got the makings of a leader as long as he can transition into playing at nfl speed and power.

Initially I thought he would take Hainsey job but I think they’re going to plug him in at LG. He’d be right next to Wirfs which is probably the best mentor to have on the line. Hainsey is serviceable and has continuity with Baker and Barton hasn’t played center since his freshman year in college (2020). If Mauch improves and Barton steps in day one playing at a high caliber then you won’t have to worry about Hainsey as much

An upgrade to the offensive line helps baker Mayfield, who has historically thrived behind a decent O-Line and failed behind a bad one. Baker needs more time in the pocket to cut down on ints and Barton is a great pick for that
