How to Preach Effectively?

While pursuing his medical degree, Dr. Keshav Anand Das came in contact with Krishna Consciousness in the year 1994 and then joined ISKCON as a full-time preacher in the year 1999. Under the able guidance of his spiritual guide, H.H. Bhakti Vikasa Swami, a disciple of His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, he has done extensive research in the field of Science and Spirituality and has authored various books and delivered scientific seminars in various colleges around the world. In India, he has been able to open a farm community project based on the Vedic way of living to show how to lead a satisfied and happy life in harmony with nature.

I also joined the Hare Krishna movement 23 years ago thanks to one cooking class. But devotees also explained philosophy to us and showed us exactly how to offer food to Krishna before we eat it. It was very nice. It was only me and one more lady who attended that class but I bought cookbook and joined straight away. I alread knew devotees and prasadam from some years ago :), but that time devotees literally saved my life with that class. Would it be ok to still organize cooking classes like that, with cooking but straight forward philosophy at the same time?

yes, Absolutely. Culture and education are two ways we can present our philosophy. The cooking way is by showing culture.

I wanted to ask, what about preaching through arts, visual arts, drama ext. for public. For example when we try to engage devotees's talents and artistic skills, for example if devotees are able to make good video with Srila Prabhupada's lecture along with it and also subtitles that everybody is clear, what is Srila Prabhupada saying, with music to it. Or somebody makes drama on certain pastimes to deliver clear message to everyone ... Or somebody can paint, make an exhibition on Krishna Conscious arts and somebody would recite appropriate poetry or play music along with the exhibition.
What would you say to that, please.
