I'm a Christian and patriotic American. I absolutely love Israel and the Jewish people. It's not only a basic understanding of Christian theology and worldview, but an understanding of civilization versus barbarism.
The banner: "We,Stand With Israel" hardly appears here in South Africa.
The Bible says clearly that Israel is God's chosen, even His favourite nation - with the added time frame from God: "For ever" or in other words: "throughout all generations".

Yes, a lot of Christian organisations have been very vocal in their support of the truth and of Israel. The more of them becoming shared and known, as with podcasts like Caroline Glick and many others, the more people will start to realise they are being played by the propaganda from the sadistic killers who are better at spinning persuasive lies than fighting wars and telling the truth. Many churches here in San Francisco hang huge banners “LOVE DEMANDS PERMANENT CEASEFIRE NOW” usually along with pro Palestinian “workshop” flyers & BLM signs. So upsetting. I don’t exactly know why, but as a Christian Reformed Church member, my mom loved Israel. She knew a great deal about the Old Testament Scriptures and always believed “Palestine “ was indeed Israel, she knew about how the diaspora started trickling in because of Pogroms, for a hundred years before Britain got the heck out of that particular “colony”. At that time most of the world was ‘Christian” and back then the Bible was taught as fact by most Protestant churches. There were, during WWII, thousands of Jews living in Palestine, some number of Bedouin, and other Arabs, so, very much like what happened in India and Pakistan, when
G B pulled out, wholesale slaughter of the Hindu people who had not had the time or the money to move into India. It was a blood bath rape, murder mayhem neighbors who lived and worked side by side, committing horrendous assaults upon their Hindu residents.
As soon as England departed Palestine the Muslims started raping, bombing, shooting, beheading their Jewish citizens. Well for the first time in several hundreds of years, the Jews fought back. It's wonderful to hear Christians Bible believers support Israel. Genesis 12:1-3 Christians truly support Israel even the late Rabbi Kahane said in his book Evangelical Christians are Israel's best friends.
I checked my Bible (Authorised King James Version) for the reference you give in your comment, and the following phrases seem to be appropriate to what Patricia Heaton says in this interview : ... "Now the Lord said unto Abram ... ... I will bless thee and make thy name great ... ... and I will bless them that bless thee ... ... and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed".
Back in the day, at our little village school (Church of England primary school) we were taught the Ten Commandments, and "stories from the Bible" (all about Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, etc ... ) as well as the New Testament (particularly the Nativity, and Sermon on the Mount). And church services would often include Psalm 23 (of King David) "The Lord is my shepherd". So to Brits of my generation it is obvious that we should stand with Israel.
But Britain became very "secular" after the 1990s, and most of the younger generation don't have the same connection, either with the Anglican Church (which certainly has its "political issues" right now), or any knowledge about the roots of Christianity in Judaism. But the new movement of Evangelical Christians is gaining ground in the UK, so let us hope their voices are loud enough to challenge the current hostility of the media.

It is correct that if the captive hostages are freed and there is an unconditional surrender, then there will be no more innocent victims. The Christians I know and the churches I'm familiar with do care very much about Israel; we pray for the hostages and for a good outcome for Israel. And we pray for the peace of Jerusalem. God's Word teaches us these things are right and good. There are divisions among the various denominations when it comes to Israel, unfortunately, but you have a core of friends who support you wholeheartedly.

I found myself agreeing with so much of what Patricia Heaton was saying. Oct. 7th and the reaction just days later was jolting and also painful to see some Christian voices join in with the voices against Israel. My family and I live a very quiet and private life. Even with faith we don't follow a Christian denomination, preferring to be independent. I felt completely powerless to contribute anything that could make a difference for Israel. Having a very tiny voice, I appreciate all the people from all walks of life that have a powerful enough voice to make an impact. So, thank you, Patricia, for being one of those voices. My tiny voice is always loud in daily prayers for Israel. 🙏

I would welcome support for Israel from all no matter their beliefs. Support from an atheist is free of any possible feelings of compulsion from God to support Israel and comes directly from their sense of morality. Of course a believer will say that morality comes from God that the atheist is not aware of.

Thank you so much . I am 83 years old, Jewish, and terrified. I have spent my life supporting oppressed people , civil rights , alternate life styles , poor people . My beautiful children sometimes complained that I spent too much time carrying about others ( then they joined me). My heart hurts and I am afraid now. I saw recently that the AME church voted to stop funds for Israel -- they were our friends. Now I am actually sick with fear.

I had the same experience as Patricia in the beginning... I had been following a very prominent Palestinian "poster boy journalist" on Instagram and was gobsmacked by his response to the October 7 events... Admittedly people had not seen or heard about all the facts yet and there was staunch denial and justification, stating that Hamas were just "freedomm fighters" and it had been 75 years, etc, but there was no apology forthcoming, and it seemed to me that there was a ready made PR machine waiting in the wings, just ready to go into high gear...Thank you for all you are doing...
