      Considering the history the military has with designing weapons that they think the current generation would be able to use intuitively (they tried shaping a grenade like a football because the youth of the time was more into football than baseball for example). I'd bet they're ecstatic actually. Imagine training a generation of pilots that are already accustomed to doing things like operating a complicated radar systems, the five million switches in the cockpit and a concept of how planes actually fly and how to control them 👍. It doesn't even have to be exact as long as it's representative of the kind of thing you do in a real aircraft. Polyphony Digital made real race car drivers out of sim racers with relative ease. Fighter jets are way more complicated but the principle remains the same.

      @@adamtheninjasmith2985 oh I agree there. My design is a general simpot with as many switches as possible. Yes I am a bit of a sadest for some things. But I want easy to swap to reconfigure panels but also have it more than capable of handling both seats for multiple seat aircraft

      @@everydaycarrycanada951 I've yet to actually dive into dcs myself. I watch a lot of content but the timing just never comes about for me to buy any kind of flight setup. I have no clue where to begin either lol.

      @@adamtheninjasmith2985 you should try it, you can get started with a flaming cliffs 3 plane (which is like 15 bucks max) or the default frogfoot (which is free with the game). You can fly both of these fine with a controller, and the game comes with a map so you don't need to worry about that. People have a thing where they think DCS is really hard to get into and on some levels it is, but if you've watched enough videos you'll handle it fine. I started on a controller and it got me a good 6 months of gameplay in the froggie before I shelled out for the hornet (which definitely should be your next buy after an fc3 plane) and with that I found that I needed a HOTAS, in my case a thrustmaster t1600m, which is fantastic value for money btw. But the controller setup had given me about 40 hours of "trial" period before I decided I loved the game and wanted to sell my kidneys for it (now look at me, having bought 5 full-fidelity aircraft and 3 extra maps). There's a great video on how to set up gamepad keybinds for the frogfoot as well, which was super helpful, so definitely watch that. And at the end of the day your PC doesn't need to be crazy beefy to run the game. In fact, I was surprised at how well the game runs on mine (mid-range pc with ryzen 5 3600, gtx 1650, 16gb ram). Also, if you do get into DCS, the game has one of the most tight-knit and supportive communities out there and a whole load of great discord servers (I reccomend spuds buds, spudknocker's discord server for general DCS help, tips and inspiration) in case you have any questions. I guess I'm proving my own point by writing you a whole essay lmao

      @sloppydog4831 Год назад +20

      The civilian unclassified version of electronic warfare in DCS is very simple. It is only a random probability generator which sends a command to the detecting radar in how far said radar can engage your unit. Not even close to what it is in real life.

      Hmmm, considering that I was an avionics tech on F-15's in my past life, I would be ill-advised to comment further on what's presented. In particular, I was an F-15 C-shopper who ended qualified on A and B systems back in the day (little history is that F-15 avionics were split between 3 different shops - I don't believe that is the case anymore), but it has been quite some time since I worked on aircraft and who knows what is or isn't classified anymore. Glad to hear that the USAF is on board.

    • @SPFLDAngler
      @SPFLDAngler Год назад +1

      RWR is one function of Electronic Warfare. Most jets only have Radar Warning Receiver, Countermeasure System, and the ability to carry a jamming system. Some asp have a Mssile Warning System. The F-15C/E/EX have jamming built in, along with a MWS. Hence why they have an Electronic Warfare Suite, similar to the F/A-18 where RWR, CMDS, and jamming are all integrated and don’t need a separate system for jamming attached to a pylon, like the F-16/A-10.

    Some of the names on the Egyptian map are wrong or doesn't sound right! And also some the locations to the west looks very low quality and incorrect, like El Gona and Hurgahda.
    I would love to see the airports, to see if the runways and the terminals are correct.
    Do they have an Egyptian, to correct these names?
    And why they don't call it Egypt, like they did with Georgia and Syria? Does the Israelis still think its thier land or just butt hurt they lost the 1973 war?
