I replied to a comment a fan made analysing game one loss. As i read it I wondered what game he watched as none of what he said made any sence. In my reply i suggested that what he said didn't make sence and that he may not have a good understanding of the game. I got an immediate reply suggesting that I " have no idea who I am talikg and that he played house league hockey for 10 years" and ended his reply. I don't normally reply to those types of statements as i don't normally talk about my hockey back ground but I thought i would make an exception. As a kid i played 2 years of house lesgue, 4 years of rep hockey A & AA, then 2 years of Jr B and 2 of Jr A. I sent it and waited for a reply. I'm no espert and don't normally engage that way and don't normally boast about my back ground but when he threw the 10 tears of house league hockey at me I thought that maybe he needed to be knocked down a notch or 2. The Leafs get some dumb penalties. They clearly aren't mature enough to win a series, in my opinion. Being tough is great, but being smart is what wins you games and series
A coach who allows useless back passes that do nothing but waste time or get turned over will never win anything. A coach who has a team that doesn't have anyone willing to take the puck to the net will not get penalty calls or win anything. A coach who allows his team to make back-to-the-perimeter passes when they are in the slot, instead of taking the puck to the net or shooting, isn't going to get penalty calls or win anything. But those possession numbers must be good for contract time...
The Leafs consistently outshoot their opponents but can’t seem to get quality shots against the more physical teams like the Bruins. How else can we explain sharpshooters like Mathews, Nylander and Marner getting smoked game after game in the playoffs? Second big problem is their porous defense. Riley has always impressed me as a strong two way player but it kinda ends there. The rest of the defensive ranks are either too small or not physical enough to put fear into the opponent. Having the will definitely helps and without it you stand no chance but I do believe it all starts with the coach, and Keefe is clueless. How many times have we seen the "drop back" on the PP? Do you really think it fazed any of the players, from either team? Nobody is scared or intimidated by the other team but both teams respect one another and know what each is capable of doing at any point. Look at last year's playoffs, for example. After game 1, Boston was moving on and the Leafs were gone, apparently, but it didn't exactly happen that way. Boston is definitely the better team, and there record proves that, but anything is possible and there's always atleast 1 upset every year. This could be that one. Having the will definitely helps and without it you stand no chance but I do believe it all starts with the coach, and Keefe is clueless. How many times have we seen the "drop back" on the PP? How many times have we seen the worst possible defensive players out on the PK? Does Keefe change it up? NOPE, just keeps doing the same things and hoping for different results, which never happens

Do you really think it fazed any of the players, from either team? Nobody is scared or intimidated by the other team but both teams respect one another and know what each is capable of doing at any point. Look at last year's playoffs, for example. After game 1, Boston was moving on and the Leafs were gone, apparently, but it didn't exactly happen that way. Boston is definitely the better team, and there record proves that, but anything is possible and there's always atleast 1 upset every year. This could be that one. I'm just looking for a good and fairly called game, regardless of the winner

He's won a grand total of one round with each team, and needless to say those have mostly been pretty good teams on paper. Just because he wears the C doesn't mean he should. He's always been overrated. (He was dead weight in Sochi too.)
