Well done your daughter! We don’t hear very much about Type 1/Diabetes, we hear a lot about Type 2….to encourage her I am 70 yrs old, and I have had diabetes type 1 for about 65 years, being diagnosed at age 5 years. I have had a full life, and given birth to two amazing sons. I have been Mayor of my City, and Chair of the Authority. I have been a Probation Officer and worked with Offenders as a major part of my life. I just want to encourage her, go for whatever you want to do and achieve in your life, you can do it. The advances in treatment are huge since I was diagnosed, and that is so very good. Lots of love to you, keep going……XXX there will be a proper cure one day soon ❤️❤️🤸♂️🤸♂️
Hi Charlie, thank you for your kind words and encouraging comment. I have passed this along to Felicia. It sounds like you have lived a full and active life so far I am sure many are very grateful for your continued perseverance and optimism. I really appreciate you taking the time to share a bit of your story and for leaving this comment. Thank you for watching and supporting this channel. 🙂❤️🙏
Thank you! I send thoughts to all of your family, well done for keeping going and facing obstacles so stoically. I will follow this channel, think I am subscribed? I always want to encourage particularly young people who have Type 1, and Felicia seems a wonderful young woman, and she I am certain will live a great life, I send her all my thoughts and encouragement as she goes on in lifeXX ❤❤and to you too, we had a friend who had Parkinson’s and did very well for a good length of time. He died in early 70’s. The treatments are evolving all the time, and I am sure break throughs will happen. When I think of the treatment I had as a child was way different to now, huge great needles ( we had to boil them up to disinfect! ) And much more. Take care, diabetes is controllable. I never had anyone to talk to! But I am so thankful to still be alive, and so thankful for my lovely family, we are soon to be Granparents for the second time! God bless you, and I will be thinking of you both, and I love hearing Felicia talk about being high or low! Just as I have! Good for you all 👍👍❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻⭐️⭐️
@@charliea1662 Thank you so much for your words and encouragement! It's crazy to think how far technology has come from boiling needles to disinfect them to being able to read our blood sugars on our phone via blue tooth. I always love being able to connect with other diabetics and hearing part of their story. Thank you for sharing some of yours!

Hi Felicia thank you so much for your comment did you see the first video? The other one will come out next Saturday. Thank you so much for watching and joining this channel you are most welcome 😃🙏😀
Hello from a fellow Felicia! I had such a great time being able to film these videos alongside my dad! I hope to join in on a couple more in the future! I know the PD community has really helped our family figure out what a new future looks like in such a stressful time. We can so glad you are here and welcome to the community!
I love the relationship between you and your daughter! Three of my 4 brothers have Parkinson’s disease. I’m beginning to be afraid I have it to. I have a lot of the non-motor symptoms. I’m 70 next year. I thought I had escaped the genetic pool. My brothers all started showing symptoms at 60. I just found you today and subscribed 😊
Hi Margie. I am so glad you found our channel. It is such an honor and a privilege to share my Parkinson's journey with others such as your brother's and possibly yourself. I do hope you don't have Parkinson's but either way I'm happy to know you and to share my journey. Thanks for taking the time to say hello 😀🖐️😃
Felicia is a very intelligent and wise young lady. Thank you Felicia for explaining diabetes so anyone can understand. My husband is a diabetic and this was very helpful.
Wow David! You have zero Parkinson's symptoms showing as you are sitting so still! The red light therapy is really helping you! Look forward to your updates and seeing how long the redlight therapy lasts. God bless!
Hi Owen, thank you for your kind words and for noticing something I did not, but someone else mentioned the same things as you did in this video. Astounding that I did not notice the difference in myself. Taking a break from the red light for a few days to see what happens when I stop. Talk to you soon😀😊😀
@@LifewithParkinsons I really do love your videos David. As a caregiver, I have learned so much about really understanding what my husband goes through by watching them. You give us a window to be able to see and understand things that maybe our partners don’t share with us. Thank you so very much. You are like that Bestie we all need who keeps it real with us. ❤️
Hi Pam, your comment is incredibly heart warming, thank you for your kind words, and for considering me a friend. I am so happy that you are able to see into your husband's world a little better.
