respectfully, they are rare in the rust belt--I live here I know. Most people invest in Chevy square bodies because they don't have to scrap the stupid I beam front suspension, they can cut the coils and land a cheap 350 and down the road they go. you really want rare, try Dodge, they were going out of business in the 1970's and so their quality control was worse than usual. Otherwise, yeah, Ford sold these trucks all over, quite a few in the first Mad Max movies.

I love it when an owner gives an honest horsepower rating. Nice truck for sure! Have the owner put some gears in the rear end and it will feel like there’s a 100 more horsepower.
Jay Leno loves to hear himself talk, frankly. Which might be ok if he researched his facts, but he's going off memory. maybe his new videos are better.
Love these Ford trucks. Not the most practical truck but the workmanship is stellar. As he says a long 2-door coupe. Agree another 100-150 rwhp would be nice. Be safe and stay well.
@@AutotopiaLA that engine have more (safe) horsepower with tuning and supporting bolt-on mods. The horsepower number that was mentioned definitely seems quite low fora supercharged three valve engine.
it is funny how Ford changes its engines so often, you can date the build by the choice. whereas an LS pretty much looks the same to those of us not knowing their intricate details.
Truck is espetacular out of the brackets and mind you I am not a pro built mods person but this truck is insanity gorgeous ❤️❤️❤️❤️well done boys thanks for showing it here , all the best from Australia 🇦🇺
Wow. Someone had said exactly what i was thinking about those wheels. So i deleted. Nice wheels....awesome truck. My best friend growing up had several. Has a sharpe 77 still.
I must be getting old when a $50k '68 pickup is "affordable" but yeah I guess it is compared to some of the other insane stuff we see. A million dollar mustang is "affordable" too to the person who owns it lol.
For those about to post, "oh it would be faster with a Coyote engine", these Teksid blocks supported 1,000 hp and there's still plenty of Terminator parts out there for these "old obsolete" engines. the only question is trying to put all that power down, not making it.
@@albertgaspar627 One time many years ago, there was a magazine article about a Chevy p/u with a Ford engine swap! On the tailgate it said Like a Rock Built Ford Tough! They said they could only imagine the response that got!
@@Mike583 that would be fun to pull into a cruise night and open the hood on that. Don't put a name on the valve covers, just stand back and see who picks up on it.
Damn very clean build love this truck id drive it every day what would of been hard is donit this way or the factory stepside cleared with all the work you done sorry have a soft spot for stepside
@@AutotopiaLA them ford's are getting real popular I with the 60s to and 70s dodge parts wasn't so hard to find I'm trying to finish my 78 d150 you never see them on the road
Nice truck to begin with but my taste would have left the stepside bed on and not lower it so much. But i do like modern horsepower and the nice wood bed on it. But if he really want use the bed he can throw in a a rubber bed mat to protect it.
another 100hp would probably be lost when the tires lost traction. the 900hp Pontiac at the end of the video looked pretty slow on takeoff compared to this "underpowered" F100
absoluty killer truck. i am curious, that motor should have way more power. i dont know if its just dailed back or what. doesnt change this is a truly outstanding truck. its very period correct for the 2000's. i love this thing. ive had 5 foxbody's couple blown so this thing has to be a great drive. enjoy. cheers
Nice. This is still the most under appreciated ford body style. Rare.

I have a '69 short bed with a 390FE and a 3-speed top loader tranny, factory a/c. Best looking trucks Ford ever made.

He’s gonna get another 50-60 but lower gears would help it a lot too
I have to be honest you guys are getting better and better at putting on a show if that I like it better than Leno's garage keep up the good work
Thank you! We keep trying to get better with all the aspects of making videos. I appreciate the compliment

Glad you liked it. Really nice build
What a gorgeous truck
Man thats one badass F100 brother.
It sure is

You and me are on the same path here
Very good job Doug. Loved how "Ford" you kept it, incredible. Thanks for showing us Shawn. Looks great and goes like stink, very clean truck
Glad you liked it. Doug loves this as he should
that things bad ass holy cow
Yes it is
What a beauty!! I wouldn’t change a thing! That had to be the best buy on BaT that day.
He scored on this one big!
BAD ASS MACHINE 🥇💯
Agreed 👊
Good sound 4.6 V8. Makes it sound like bigger small block. Good exhaust tone. Love it.
Nice sound just wish it had more hp personally
@@AutotopiaLA that engine have more (safe) horsepower with tuning and supporting bolt-on mods. The horsepower number that was mentioned definitely seems quite low fora supercharged three valve engine.
Very clean! Love that color!
Me too. Color looks great on here
SO BADASS !!!!!! THANKS FOR SHARING!!!!
Glad you liked it. Cool truck with a great story
So clean love this build. This and the 67-72 C10 are my fav pickups.
Beautiful truck !
One badass truck. Super nice and not over done. Very clean and sharp.
Agreed all the way
Very cool truck, The Lincoln and Rolls caught my eye too
My dream truck . One day I will build a pro touring bump side Ford .
That’ll be a cool one
Would not change a thing. Love that it's honestly drivable
Pretty soon you’re gonna see another one just like to with more black accents! Its gonna be dope!
Awesome!!
Awesome job on it.
Congrats sir.
This truck is gorgeous.
Love that truck, especially the color
Really cool build just a bit low on hp imo but killer build
For me.. Perfect 😍I would put this Gem as my absolute dream car/truck. Everything is just right.
I’m a chevy/gm guy for sure, but that is a nice truck, really cool to see! Great presentation from Autotopia LA as always.
Thank you and I agree...beautiful build just lacks power for me
Friend: "hey brother, can I borrow your truck to help me move?"
Me: "lmao".
😂
Sweet truck!! I like the color, reminds me of wet concrete.
This is how a truck build should be 👍
Clean ride for sure
nice build love the color.
It’s sweet for sure just needs a bit more power I think
What a great Ford Truck!
Those rims would be perfect on the 70 Chevelle I hope to build one day.
Also, for a new motor, I'd swap a supercharged aluminum 5.4 4V inside it.
Coyote would be awesome in here!
it is funny how Ford changes its engines so often, you can date the build by the choice. whereas an LS pretty much looks the same to those of us not knowing their intricate details.
Love this generation f100. The 3 valve 4.6 was an interesting engine choice. Its a better engine than it gets credit for.
The engine was done when it was supposed to be the next cool thing
Damn nice looking bump side.
Definitely a clean build
Absolutely beautiful truck
I was hoping there would be I vid on this when I saw it in the background of the Mustang video. Nice truck.
Really nice truck!
hermoso carro de poder el FORD F100 hermoso en verdad este carro clásico FORON 😀💪💯☝️🙄🤔😁

Thank you so much for bringing us these awesome vehicles.
Thank you for watching!
I seen that truck before love it.
Clean looking truck. Has a nice sound.
Really slick build
I’m sure it’s been said a few times but this with a coyote would be pretty mean. Sweet truck regardless. Great video as always, keep them coming. 👍🏻
That's a nice cruiser.
Sure is
This machine has the BEST engine sound ever.
Thats a beauty
I think so too
Love. Such kewl parts on it.
Very cool build
F100s are f****** dope!!!
Definitely
Bump sides are the best looking.
Yeah and this one is done so right
Nice. Bumpsides are my favorite and just bought another 😂
Nice Ford 👍
Really nice
Love it
When A real a car on a video looks like a toy it’s kick ass
Perfect truck
Good to see old school wheels
I love em!
3v lives matters too.
Beautiful truck...
Agreed 👊
This is awesome!
Definitely

The Perfect beer store Truck Dude..laugh with your bro..and get back home.
An affordable build. Right on man.

Affordable buy but I’m guessing this build wasn’t cheap
Cool truck!
Definitely a cool one
Cool truck
Definitely a cool one
Very cool truck. Curious as to what rear end gears it has, little steeper gear could really wake it up.
Don’t remember hearing but I think it needs another 100 hp. But killer truck for sure
50k to buy , I bet the original builder spent double that to build it. Awesome truck
Or more. Doug scored on this one
A Supercharged Coyote V8 would move this F100 like nothing.
Agreed and would love to see that happen
Yeeee soo good cars
Very nice resto, the only thing I would like better would be more HP.
And different color.
I’d love to see more power too but I like the color personally

50 g's seems like a bargain to me
Agreed. Had to be double that or more to build
Imagine that, a Ford powered Ford! Love it!!!❤😀👍😎🇺🇸
Love it!
agreed, how many times you buy a truck magazine with a Ford on the front, to find inside it was LS swapped.

Yep and luckily he didn’t give us any trouble
100 hp. Just a bottle away. You don't have to stress the motor all the time either .
Ya know .. short bed builds are USUALLY.. the better build..again SD.. great vid
Yeah, short beds are much cooler for sure. I love this build just wish it had a bit more power
That's a sleek Ford truck.
Sure is. More power would be great but killer build

Bring it please!!!!

Love the wheel choice on here
We need some tuner cars too F&F style what i mean
We do them once in a while and will again soon
The wheels are like a Magnum 500 wheel...
that's what i thought, just like a Mach I Mustang wheel...but for custom rim prices :)
So there is a 68 model and 67 ?
Got to get me a truck
6:44 - Fucking FORD RANGERRRR!!!
Why does the paint on the cab look way lighter then the rest of the panels? Still badass though.
Did you get pulled over by the motorcycle cop I saw those lights flashing!
Nope. He rolled past. Must’ve been going for someone else
