This is an act from the play "Yoshitsune Sembonzakura". Shizuka has an hourglass drum whose two skins are the skins of the parents of a fox. The fox assumes the appearance of Tadanobu, the knight in charge of escorting Shizuka. At the end of the act, Yoshitsune, moved by the fox's filial piety, gives him the drum. The grateful fox takes the drum and flies heavenwards
