fun tip, the farmers board is unique due to the polyanimo section. It does not drop low like the wells for the other components of any other board. You can actually lay the bags flat underneath the polyanimo section for everything to still sit relatively flat. I use the spot you used for the bags as discards for adventure and event cards so I couldn't do that. I also house the expansion cards in the main box, so everything is just all together.
Loved the video! I don't know how you waited so long to punch out all of those components. 😆 Punching and organizing is one of my favorite parts of getting a new board game...almost as much fun as playing the game itself.
Jenna I loved this video. It is so entertaining for an old guy like me to watch. Being partially disabled this is so relaxing. If you wanted to do it as a livestream that would be awesome as well. Supporting this kind of content and all the other content you share makes me happy to be a Patreon supporter. 😃
I haven't even received my shipped notice for my mythwind, so living through you for now with this game. I typically punch out components and if I don't need them due to having the deluxe, then I put the punch outs in a baggie and throw them on the shelf, occassionally I need them because pieces get lost when the kids or extended family have too much fun. I did replace the pieces from wingspan and put some of them with a print and play game that needed cubes.
I really enjoy vids like this of just sorting all the components in a new game. I do really wish companies would include a sheet or something on their website for first setup of games. Where and how they intend you to pack it all up, obviously no sense spending much money on printing it but it would be nice to have something, I've had games where I'm like i just have no idea how to sort it all and it takes a playthrough to figure it out or great videos like yours.
I love how you specify this is a chill video. Your whole channel is chill, if you ask me 😂❤ Metal coins FTW! When I have the metal option, I punch the cardboard coins and keep them in a bag and stash them with all my extra bags 🤷🏼♂️ But I bet I’ll never get back to them; it’s just hard to throw out game bits (when it’s not legacy, that is!) I didn’t mind the “yapping”, I thought you did fine. That said, I like the idea of a Q&A. Livestream, maybe, except you might get too distracted 😂. I actually had an idea while you fast-forwarded: can you use real time audio while the video is going 2x? That way if you did have something to say during those spots, you can still speed thru stuff. This was an enjoyable watch. Organizing is also one of my favorite things. Now I can’t wait to see how it plays. As for characters, any of the 3 (?) you mentioned sound interesting. Hopefully someone I know also backed it, or my usual game shop/restaurant will get it in, so I can try it out too 😊
This should be a chill indie game on Steam akin to Unpacking. The player plays Jenna first unboxing then organizing and reboxing board games of varying complexity. Dogs and background noises are unlockables as well as different nail polish hues! :D
Great video, went all in on this one, can’t wait to get my hands on it. Looking forward to seeing how you play it and how and when you decide to swap between characters.
Very disappointed to see that the 5th player expansion does not fit in the original box. I'd expect a lot of people got that so it would make sense to me to just ship a taller box as it would still fit in a Kallex shelf (which seems to be the litmus test for acceptable box size. Nevertheless, my copy just arrived and I'm glad I happened upon your video as it will save me a lot of the guesswork in organizing and was also very satisfying to watch as well!
It seemed that mythwind arrived with some lid lift. I prefer no lid lift, but I suspect the that the expansion and everything would fit in the original mythwind box with the amount of lid lift that the original box seems to arrive with. I'm thinking that as long as I don't put weight on top of the box, fitting it all into that one box might be better for me, when mine finally comes. here I am plotting my game without it in hand. lol
I punch everything out and just use one of the hundreds of baggies I have from other board games and just throw them in a bin in storage for all extra components that were replaced by deluxe components, you never know when you may need them or if you resell the next person can decide what they like to use.
Unfortunately, I keep all my cardboard. I have Mosaic Colossus edition which is probably the worst offender. I keep it unpunched. CoB I just put the cardboard in the acrylic box... I still have all the original boxes from the expansions of games etc I consolidated into the main box or smaller boxes. It is a bit of a problem... I hate to waste anything. Feels so bad. I understand why the publishers do it, it costs more to create and manage additional sku's instead of just printing the cardboard. I appreciated the Unconscious Mind ID-Lite or all in the box pledges for this reason. It is rare to see that though. Nice video Jenna.
I don't mind Ü yapping Jenna, so yap away! hahah Anyways, I do enjoy these kinda videos and doing this while having QnA do sound nice! Voting for GREEN 💚 farmer btw! 🙋🏻♂️

Wow, this game looks so elegant. It seems like it would have very gratifying play, too, as you level up your town and characters.
One of the best parts of getting a new game. Excited to see you start playing.

Loved this, punching and organizing is the best. And I can’t wait to see some gameplay!

Thanks for the video. I just got my copy in the mail and I totally needed this video to organize my stuff!

I have not yet received my crowdfunded copy, but am dying to try it. Thanks for the video, Jenna!

I am excited to see you play! Which character doesn't matter much, mostly because they all seem interesting.

Thanks for the video! Organizing this game was frustrating.
You can change character every season! :) and just continue the game from the spot you finished
Looking forward to getting my copy!

I backed, sadly in the US, we still waiting for them to ship.
It would be great to have timestamps for the different parts your organizing e.g. farmer, ranger and so on
1st!
