I've been going through those tutorials you did on Rocks, Live Forever, Rock 'n' Roll Star, Cigarettes and Alcohol, Waterfall and others and loving all the detail. Thanks so much for taking all that time and helping me get through these dark days.

Hi Steve it's great to hear from you, it's been a crazy few weeks hasn't it?! I hope you and your family are safe well. How is your guitar playing? Great to hear you've had time to go through some of those classics, looking back it's crazy how long ago some of them were. Cigarettes and alcohol has always been a personal highlight for me, can never get enough of that one haha. I thought doing this killers track might be a nice change of pace for us, it's a really fun one to play (even if it's a pain getting into Eb haha) I also thought it was fitting now that we all have more time to look back on the past few years etc. Anyway, no need to thank me I love making these and chatting to long standing community members like yourself about music and all sorts! See you on the next video Steve great to hear from you.

@@AnthonyFernsGuitarTutorials Hi Ant. Sorry for taking so long to reply. I must have missed the notification. All ok for me and my family considering thank you. I hope you and your family are ok too. It's going to be a very different summer though especially with no Reading for me and no Isle of Wight for you. Were you going this year? Still getting loads of guitar playing done. Working on your tutorial for Some Might Say now. I knew the song before but the detail you add is amazing. I wonder what you've got in store for us next.
You are right to say that it is fitting to look back now. Let's all believe that we have many more good times in the future to look forward to. Take care.

Ah great to hear you're going through Some Might Say, great anthem. I seem to remember it being a real pain to play along to because the actual recording of the song is a bit out of tune haha, feels like I've been on leaps and bounds since then, I'm gonna try and attempt Slide Away for my next lesson I think everyone will enjoy that (it's been a long time coming haha). @@AnthonyFernsGuitarTutorials Yes Ant, I'm loving your tutorial on Some Might Say right now and have Riverboat and Place Your Hands in my sights. I learnt Noel's solo from Don't Look Back from you. There's a lot of guitar tab out there but so much of it is oh so wrong. I struggled with the timing on the last but one bar when your pinky goes up to the 17th fret. In the end I notated it into Guitar Pro and looped it which did the trick for me.
Can't wait for Slideaway. I know you've had that coming for a while. Did you manage to find a backing track in the end?
I'm gutted about Reading being cancelled but counting on seeing you there next year.
Anyway mate here's to Noel and Liam sorting out their shit and reforming Oasis to headline Knebworth in 2021. Guigsy and Bonehead will be back and Gem Archer and Andy Bell will have guest spots. Tony McCarroll, Alan White and Zack Starkey will take it in turns on the sticks. For an encore all members of Oasis, past and present, will perform an extended 60 minute version of Champagne Supernova with Paul Weller and John Squire cutting heads in an almost supernatural guitar duel while the whole crowd play air guitar. The set will be televised around the world and £50,000,000 will be raised for the NHS. Yes!!!

Hope you're doing well mate, it's funny you say that because you're 100% right haha, I'm trying to aim a lot of my material towards gigging bands and musicians especially for people like yourself, I'd be over the moon if you went out and started playing this one! The only irritating thing is getting around the tuning, when I play live I either use a Digitech Drop (de-tuner) which just knocks everything down a half step or I bring an extra guitar haha. Anyway, I'd be really happy if people started gigging this one having avoided it for all this time!

Pretty sure that first one is just Csus4. ;) and then it's based around C, F, G, Am (with other notes that modify slightly). You're complicating what the chords are, big time. For example, end of pre chorus is basically F, G, Am and C bar chords. Just picking certain notes.

No problem! So E flat (Also seen written as ‘Eb’) tuning is essentially everything tuned down to sound like it’s one fret below, it’s common in rock songs, mostly to change the pitch of open chords to make them sound deeper. Soo all you need to do my friend is look up Eb guitar tuning and tune down to it! 😄
