    I'm so glad I've found your playlist on MS Word, especially this very tutorial. In a justified running paragraph, is it possible to replace a regular space with a non-breaking space for a particular word (ex. to convert the regular space between the word "Dr." and the "Family name") ONLY when it occurs at the end of a line? I know how to do it for an entire text, but I just can't seem to find the solution this very targeted issue. Your tutorials are simply brilliant! Such clarity!

    Your video is excellent! I wonder if you have a suggestion for creating a list of acronyms in a document without having to go through and mark each one as an index entry. I was thinking of using wildcard search to select the acronyms, then copy those into a spreadsheet to use as the basis for a Word index, but I can't figure out how to select the spelled-out version of the acronym that precedes it, and I'd like to avoid having to go back and write them all in. For example, can you think of a way I could select "Self-Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus (SCUBA)" and "United States of America (USA)" in a document? Thank you for any assistance!

    If it is possible to use Search to find a hyperlink, is it possible to call another macro for the Replace box. For example, if I wanted to Replace "the desk of Sally Jones" with "the desk of Peter Jones" without changing the link (it routes Sally's and Peter's clicks to the same page). I want to do this one by one as Sally should appear on some pages and Peter should appear on others and I need to decide case by case. I have a Macro that replaces Sally with Peter. Is there a way to put that macro in the Replace box?

    Is it possible to use Search to find hyperlinks and to change part of the hyperlink's text? Hyperlink in the Styles panel does not show items with that style. Itt is grayed out. Searching for the Highlighted Text from the Styles option in Search returns nothing. a blank search box and Control U sometimes finds hyperlink that are underlined, but not always. I would prefer not to disable all the Hyperlinks to change the Style of Hyperlinks. They don't turn back to Hyperlinks easily or consistently.Thank you so much!

    I have this siutation :
    00:21 a full sentence with spaces and stuff
    essentially a Time stamp and a sentence
    I want to replalce the space after the time stamp with a Tab Character.
    Completely stumped ... is it possible to do it with Find and Replalce without writing some magical code !!!

    • @karinaadcock
      @karinaadcock  2 года назад +1

      I think if the time stamps are all formatted like 07:12 then
      Find what: ([0-9][0-9]:[0-9][0-9])
      Should find every time stamp no matter what the numbers are.
      A space must be included at the end of the Find what box.
      Then in Replace with box put \1 that will make it leave the time stamp the same.
      Then make a Tab in the document and copy and paste it into the Replace with box after \1
      This should make it replace every space after a time stamp with a Tab.
      The Use wildcards box must be ticked.

    Also, how do I find & replace a specific number (Example: 20 total pages. Top of each page has the date 0 1 0 5 2 0 2 0) I only want to change the 5 for the date on all 20 pages WITHOUT changing all the 5's throughout the paragraphs?
