Thank you for covering this. I watched it 41 years ago! Then just a couple of years ago I remembered, figured out what the name was, and rewatched; it really holds up! Plenty of fun for an adult too.
Unnerving, unsettling, and absolutely addictive! Some of the eeriest theme and incidental music ever, and a children's drama at that. Wonderful. Happy Day!
I remember this from the time Nickelodeon showed this series as apart of the Third Eye series. At the time they were doing a lot of British and Canadian programs and they were taking a lot of ques from the Public Broadcasting Service. They don't show this sort of thing anymore on Nickelodeon, but I was glad to be around when they did, I think they gave more sophisticated tastes than kids get today.
I watched this all those years ago. Think that my have had a bad effect. Now an artist in my 50's, Ireland and fascinated by folklore. Do illustrate that. But I also take people walks around the ancient sites here in Ireland and tell them the stories of standing stones, fairy trees and scared sites.
I never saw this when it first aired but it was re aired in the mid 80’s when I was a kid and this show used to scare me ! Something very unsettling about it !!! And the soundtrack is great too!!!
