That presenter introducing them looks and sounds like the American version of Tony Wilson (Anthony Howard Wilson) who was the owner of Manchester's Factory records and was a Granada TV presenter.

Ah Stevee, that was cool, you must know I loooove The Smithereens, first three albums are ace! If a few things had gone their way, they were contenders, speaking of which, if they happen to hit a stage nowadays it's with Marshall Crenshaw, for whom much love also!
