Thanks for posting Adam. I plan to do the same mod. B8/8.5 S4's are great daily drivers. This p3 v3 looks and functions so good! Like it's meant to be right from factory.
Great video Adam! I just now saw this. Quick tip, since you have a V3 gauge you can set your Analog 1 setting to "A1.EC" (ethanol content) and your Analog 2 setting to "A2.Ft" (fuel temp) and then the gauge will read "Ethanol" and display "E 9" instead of just " 9" when you're on ethanol content. Anyways, killer video! It's done so well, please let us know if you need anything else or if there is anything you'd like to work together on in the future. - Jake
Hi Jake, thanks for the tip and the compliments!!! I just made this change and implemented it on my car after you commented on my video. I shared how to do it on my Instagram stories for others to learn to do this too. Thanks again!
@@P3Gauges just installed my ethanol gauge, hooked it up all, followed the instructions, my gauge is showing me E100 content and 287F fuel temp. What the heck’s going on! Not possible lol?
Hey quick question. To power the analyzer and voltage adapter which fuse would be most appropriate? The red 5, the blue 15, or the yellow 20 fuse? I don’t know which one to use to power. Thank you for answering my question. Great video btw, I have this all set up ( e z install, just time consuming) just not sure how to power.
Love the P3 Ethanol bracket. I've bought one from your sight. I'm hoping I can figure out how the sensor was mounted to it given there are no holes in the sensor to attach, yet the video shows two bolts going through. Tight install and video. Thanks!
Thanks for the order and for watching. I have a note on that part, on my website, that the Continental ethanol sensor doesn't come with mounting points so you'll have to use zip ties or zap straps.
@@VancityAudi Yup, saw that. But in the video I saw the bolts which made me wonder how that one was attached. It isn't an issue, I have a few options that I'm certain will work. Looking forward to other videos.
@@VancityAudi i'll have to look for the video but there was a fellow youtuber that was doing a build of his engine in an older Golf R ( and using EQT tuner to flash his car and with the P3 gauge installed) even with it "fully turned off" it was causing issues with the tune going in that unplugging the P3 gauge and flashing resolved. Hi Adam, I'm looking to pick up one for my B9 S4. I wanted to ask, other then the main P3 kit, with ethanol voltage sensor, I would still need to purchase the analyzer separate?
@@parambadyal1127 I ordered my fuel sensor directly through P3. I'm not sure they offer them anymore though. They are readily available though through other sites. You could even message P3 and see who they recommend you get them from
Where did you purchase the hardwire kit? Trying to do the same in my C7 S6. Spoke to P3 today and was told I can only use the gauge connected to the OBDII port.
It’s crazy how bad the gas is nowadays I thought California had the worst gas considering our 91 pump is more of a 89 but all of our fuels have a 10% ethanol content .
Love the gauge however at $300 american dollars this is so expensive for any gauge no matter what it displays. I get there was some good RnD done and it fits into the interior nicely however its just beyond unjustifiably costly for me. COBB tuners can display all of this and do so much more as well as display the data here at nearly the same price. if these were around $150USD it would be expensive but reasonable. I hope they sponsored you for this piece and i am sure you will get the most out of it in this car.

Hey Vancity Audi! Do you happen to have the part number or sizing for the quick connect connections you used here?
They are 3/8th's

Thanks for watching! I'll be making my decision very soon and will be making a video on who I ended up going with and why.
Does the red power cable from the esva just connect to the red from the ethanol sensor? Or do you have to route it to the fuse box to get power?
Looks like red cable to red cable in this video
BTW when you are Flashing your car make sure you disconnect the P3 Gauge as it can cause issues with your flashing and it working properly!

Hello Just ordered one today for my S4! Where did you get the fuel line quick connect and how do I know what size?
My tech had the quick connects in stock. I never had to buy any. You know what size by measuring your fuel lines.
Joey, I ordered mine and found that Dorman 800-091 is the quick connect 90' angle and Dorman 800-085 is the straight quick connect. Hope this helps.
Any chance you know where to get a bracket like that?
If you're referring to the ethanol sensor mount we sell them on my website: vancityaudi.com/shop
Hi Adam, I'm looking to pick up one for my B9 S4. I wanted to ask, other then the main P3 kit, with ethanol voltage sensor, I would still need to purchase the analyzer separate?
The analyzer is the voltage sensor. It tells you what percentage of ethanol is in your fuel via a reading in voltage.
