I have a great admiration for your expertise for reviewing products related to musical reproduction. You have helped me more than once to make sound buying decisions. I also appreciate your efforts to find better ways to analyze products and explain your approach. May I suggest some ways as a personal contribution to make your follower’s experience more enjoyable : 1- I respect your style of staging your reviews (and Zeos), but please stop shaking your head as this makes your videos seasickness inducing. 2- Presenting graphs or tracklists through a camera recording a monitor is a very bad way of sharing your views . The graphs are much smaller than what YOU see which makes reading and understanding the graph or the tracklists very difficult, more so when you are shaking your head. A proper way would be if you’d show us a stable printscreen. 3- When you explain your approach of reviewing (through music scores , audio settings used for evaluation and so once) do this once in a video which would be referenced or when you change your reviewing process but not repeatedly in product reviews afterward. Hope my suggestions are well received and usefull! Keep on the good work!
I ordered my Modius earlier this week it's now backordered till the 30th :( oh well it will get here eventually. I only wanted to keep the DAC amp separate so I can can change the sound as desired with the amp selection knowing that the Modius is a dead flat sound output which doesn't add any flavor to the music beyond the file it is supplied.

I could not wait and went with jot 2, will see how it pairs with modius and gl2000's...
@@tonydillinger2553 awesome please let me know considering that exact combination
what music player are u using?
That's JRiver
Well when i upgrade to a balanced setup definitly getting this
I've heard from more than one reviewer that the Jot 2 doesn't jive very well with iems. Wondering if that was tested? Some people may need an all in one amp for iems and full sized. Sounds like it's great for full sized.
I did not even try yet. My brain is so on the RME ADI 2 DAC I don't wanna mess up that rythm I have with it with IEM reviews.
You need to run IEMs via balanced. The SE output is very noisy, but balanced isn't. It's actually my favorite amp pairing with my Campfire Andromeda's atm. Gives them some much needed slam.
@@JSym92 I would imagine for a lot of iems running balanced out of this one would barely have to turn the volume up before it was at ear splitting levels? Thanks. I'm currently hunting for a new amp to run from my Gustard X16 dac.
@@danm203 With my Andromeda's, going balanced in - balanced out, it's loud at like 8 o'clock. Not ideal, but it's manageable. The X16 has volume control I see though, so you can use that to lower the DAC output to give you more range on the volume knob.
@@JSym92 That's a good point. I also have my eye on the Singxer SA-1. A little more expensive but people are saying good things. We'll see.
I have a great admiration for your expertise for reviewing products related to musical reproduction. You have helped me more than once to make sound buying decisions. I also appreciate your efforts to find better ways to analyze products and explain your approach.
May I suggest some ways as a personal contribution to make your follower’s experience more enjoyable :
1- I respect your style of staging your reviews (and Zeos), but please stop shaking your head as this makes your videos seasickness inducing.
Any available stock on a european store?
That sucks. I hear they are expanding a facility in Texas? Maybe helps (not now of course)
I'm going to have to try that DAC option for the Jot 2 if it doesn't require I send this whole thing back cuz....ffffuuuu that!!
Ugh, I really want to order the modius too but hate that it’s back ordered
Electronics sorted , happy listening noises 😄
It's all about the noises....and Music
I'm still waiting for my Schiit Jotunheim 2 :(
It's worth waiting. What a excellent piece of kit
Literally the exact experience i felt with the same combo beside i have the smsl su9 dac
thats what im using too!! had the sh9 stack but super keen to warm it up and try the jot. How do you like it??
@@Jopup5 honestly it's such a massive upgrade compared to my old THX AAA amplifier. It's a little smoother on the top end but I don't feel loss of detail. The depth and space plus dynamic are way better. The bottom end is where this amp really shines it's such a clean punchy bass. I've never heard bass this clean up until this point.
@@OkGreat- Unreal! Exactly what I was hoping for
I have a Bifrost multibit DAC and it’s amazing. You SHOULD try a multibit DAC to see the difference. It’s like the notes have shape (the acoustic songs especially.)
You are tempting me. Can I install myself? Not sending my Jot 2 back to Cali ;)
@@BadGuyGoodAudioReviews Of course. It’s just USB ->Bifrost Multibit -> RCA (red/black) -> Amp
No substitute for gobs of pure class A power.
Nope. This thing is a brute.
told you its great 😎
its a fully discrete amp
thx amps are opamp amps and the sound of those are not dynamic and not nutrall imo
sorry for bad english
You were right. It is great and THX stuff is not for me.
@@BadGuyGoodAudioReviews if you into the amps reviwe cayin iha6 its a very good amp for planar headphons
but for dynamic headphons not so much
also in the highend range spl phonitor x is a beast
and ifi pro ican is a powerfull good sounding and small amp
Trying to upgrade to the smsl sp400 stack 😬
Enjoy
I had my he6se honeycomb grill mod custom made from a carbon fibre auto parts maker at my place.
Cool. Love those cans. They finally got that good juice.
@@BadGuyGoodAudioReviews Had Schiit released Jot 2 earlier, I would have bought it over my topping A90 for better synergy.
I hope the Flux lab amp would feel like a upgrade to jot 2. 😁
I own both. The flux lab FA-10 has a little more power, but not much more. The Jotunheim 2 has a punchier sound signature, meaning it seems to deliver the sound with authority, the Flux lab sounds more easy going. They are both very good amps. But seeing how the Jotunheim 2 is half the price of the Flux labs FA-10, it gives you more amp for your money. Don’t let the specs of the Jotunheim 2 fool you, this amp is punching way above its weight class and makes the Topping A90 sound downright anemic by comparison.
@@73split jot 2 bifrost 2 is the endgame for a common man! ❤️
I'm still at the beginning of the journey let's see how far I go. ☺
@@prabinpaudel5572 I own the Bifrost 2 and pair it with my Jotunheim 2. It is definitely a great combination that I highly recommend. But the Bifrost 2 does not do MQA and is limited to 192khz. I listen to Amazon HD so it’s perfect for me.
@@73split I listen music through a hacked deezer app. 😂
I live in Nepal, even Spotify will be coming to us in couple months now as a first streaming service. For now it's downloaded music and hacked deezer which I'm not sure plays flac or mp3. But sounds good enough from my hip dac and tin p1.
Not sure if I'll go the powerful amp dac route or a high end easy to drive headphone that'll be driven by my hip dac. I might get a focal clear if I save up enough in about a year.
3rd world problems. 😂
@@prabinpaudel5572 if money is tight and you want a good quality headphone that is easy to drive then I recommend the Goldplanar GL2000. It does everything very well and is easy to drive. You won’t need a powerhouse amp like the Jotunheim 2. I only have 2 headphones that require the kind of power the Jotunheim 2 puts out, HIFIMAN HE-560 and HIFIMAN HE-6SE. The GL2000 competes very well with much more expensive headphones and they don’t require an expensive amp to run. If I could only afford one headphone I would get the GL2000, it punches way above its price point and is well worth the money.
The SCHIIT is Here 😉😉😉
Schiit Lovin zone
I like the sound of the thx amps so I’m thinking the sp400 would be better for me. The jot is tempting because of the price difference alone. Using HE6se also
If THX is what you like, SP400 has a good amount of power for sure
Review the Topping A90
Its definitely not to his liking. Its too clinical
I have the Topping A90, the Jotunheim 2 makes it sound anemic by comparison. The Jotunheim 2 is definitely a step up.
thought this was Zeos for a sec...
Please review xduoo xa 10
Topping a90?
damn i always find the music player rather funny its so grand and cumbersome looking , thats my opinion of course
I love scrolling through my library like a massive cover flow.
Sold
It's a beast. Good purchase

Definitely curious about this 1 🍿
Great piece of kit

Don't get tricked into measurements, Jotunheim 2 > A90
I have A90...am not going to comment much but...I don't like it
Lost me at the first "song" you played--that's not music, and certainly not a way for me to compare products I might buy. What I'm not buying is your chanell.
