I watched this movie so much as a kid and after watching this i am currently sobbing T-T
I just realized, “find yourself” is the title because doc Hudson said “if you going hard enough left you you’ll FIND YOURSELF going right” meaning he was going ‘left’ as in bad choices and being cocky and rude. And when he was too cocky, he found himself going ‘right’ as in being humble and selfless. 🤯
I never thought of that! That makes me love Cars 1 even more
Doc was once like that, and he never had anyone teach him otherwise. When he wrecked, it was over, no one wanted him for his personality and attitude.
We never really learn much about Doc when he was younger until Cars 3, but even then, we don’t learn much on how he treated others other then he liked racing.

Yeah I couldn’t stop thinking about my favorite 🤩 Pixar movie
I remember this movie from my childhood, I'm as old as it. I watched it almost every year since birth. Back then, it was a great kids movie to me. Now it is a favorite movie with great morals and so much nostalgia.
This song makes me emotional. Not only for nostalgia, but I know what this song really means. I lived through it, and it hurts when you lose yourself. But when you do, "the things that woulda been lost in you are now clear as a bell". So just hang on if you're lost, you'll find yourself. Maybe it's in another person, maybe it's in what you do. But you won't be lost forever.

It's sad for me he died a year before l was born. I watched cars one and said who is doc m mum said Paul l wanted to meet him but he died in 2008 when l was born 2009

Cars is my favorite Pixar movie ever, the reason why people are hating this franchise is because of Cars 2 that ruined it, but we're forgetting that movie never happened. When I watched cars 3 I keep thinking that McQueen wishes Doc back so that he can be happy to see all of McQueen Miracle and victory is racing days are going. October 26, 2023.
This made me realize how the Cars duology (2 is trash and adds nothing of value to Lightning's character arc) actually has a great emotional center buried under it's tainted reputation from it's so-called sequel, cash grab spin offs, and overexposed toys.
Lightning has a strong journey which first starts with him winding up lost, and it ends up becoming the best thing that has happened to him as he learns to enjoy the little things in life. His life does not need to be limited to what he does.
But when his career is at his lowest, he acts irrational in fear of losing what he loves, but he eventually finds someone to carry out his legacy. While he realizes that he cannot race forever, he can still have someone to learn from his mistakes and continue what he started.
At this point, he has finally found himself. Content now with the life he has. Starting from an egotistical jerk, the Cars Duology is secretly about how it's okay to enjoy what you have at the moment, and to sacrifice for others.
I love cars 1 Doc was finally happy after many years and so was lightning miss you Doc

This reminds me of Toy Story. The people who watched the first film when they were young, their lives went at the same pace as these trilogies and therefore they related to them more as the time was right when these were released. Toy Story seen Andy grow up up until college, which was 15 years in the making. As those who watched it in 1995-97 when young, would've been around 16-18 when Toy Story 3 concluded Andy's story. Which just makes these movies more relatable to those growing up. And the same goes for Cars.
