Last of the original series. When it came back it was clear they were trying to 're-boot' the show with the new set and music but personally, I don't think the makeover went far enough. Though there was still some hilarious moments in the post-G&L years, the time was right for the show to rest and then come back a year later with an entirely different line-up - comics as well as captains (and no David Seaman!). Ross had outgrown the show by this point and his chatshow meant it was getting bumped hither and thither around the schedules, while Rory had long since stopped bothering to do any original material. Gower and Lineker could obviously see how formulaic it was getting.
@@antster1983 do you know the episode with Allan Lamb , it was during Lee Hurst era , anytime from series 1-7. but definitely not series 1.eps 3,5 and 6. series 2. not eps 1-7. series 3.not eps 1, 3-8. series 4 not eps 1-7. series 5 , not eps 1,2,3 , 5,6,7. series 6 not eps 1-6 or 8 . series 7 not eps 1-7.

I'd have replaced Rory with Danny Baker.
Is it me or has the show got considerably more pervy over the last 3 series?
Great stuff, that's all 15 done. On to 16??
+GinolasSon Yep, capturing 16x05 at the moment. There's another one-off round in that one - "Mike Tyson's Debt Roulette".
+GinolasSon 16x1-5 all captured. Now capturing 17x01.
+Anthony Hobson fantastic stuff!
