  • In this excerpt from his 2017 lecture (at the Royal Institution), theoretical physicist David Tong explains the legacy of Michael Faraday, how quantum mechanics together with Faraday's field theory provide us with an understanding of our Cosmos as a unified and interconnected field, where nothing exists separate from it's surroundings and the Universe. ""There are fields that underlie everything. And what we think of as particles aren't really particles at all. They're waves of these fields, tied up into little bundles of energy. There are no particles in the world. The basic fundamental building blocks of our Universe are these fluid like substances that we call fields." ~David Tong

Holy crap! Alan Watts was right when he said in the 60s that we are all connected, and that we are all waves of the same ocean.
