    As always best tuts!
    I just can add some points:
    1. Magento has more than 20% from all e-commers solution around the world.
    2. Php already if faster than Python, and has good ML library.
    3. In version 8, php will have JIT, so it will be more faster, and lots others things.
    4. Php not assynhronus language, but it has interesting libraries like ReactPHP or AMphp or Swooly, which could add assync features in it, and bring more power!

    I always laugh at people who talk about JavaScript like it's the only programming language they will ever need... and blast PHP for being outdated. Well, at least php has OO capabilities right out of the box. JS has it's purpose but it's not the greatest language ever invented. Personally, I think C# is pretty amazing language all round but just because I like C# that doesnt mean PHP is garbage, in fact I prefer PHP for web development.

    • @TheCodeholic
      @TheCodeholic  3 года назад

      Every programming language has its strengthes and weaknesses.
      Javascript is absolutelly necessary for frontend development. PHP one of the best for web development. Python is #1 in Machine Learning and automation.
      C# and Java are one of the best when building large corporate apps and if you want to choose a technogy which has behind huge organization such as Microsoft and Sun.

      I think you can learn basics and OOP and then jump into framework.
      I have 5 hours PHP course on my channel and OOP playlist. watch these and you can jump into framework.
      There will be companies for sure which still use plain PHP, but I do recommend to use frameworks when you can.

    Problem with php is, you learn it for web and that's all. It is a dying technology, and while it is still being maintained by companies with huge technical debt, while you can learn it, does not mean you should learn it. Cobol also is still use, but if you look at the job market, there are way more oppenings in Node, Go, Python, Ruby than Php. I would not advise a beginner in 2020 to learn php, but rather start with python and javascript.

    • @TheCodeholic
      @TheCodeholic  3 года назад +1

      Everyone has his opinion. But...
      Can you please provide a link of job market where Go has more oppenings than PHP? I honestly want to see that.

    • @ojsojs6004
      @ojsojs6004 3 года назад

      PHP is not a dying language and it is better than ever and in high demand. There is a job website I have seen where PHP has the most job openings among the programming languages.
      job demands also depends on location. There are locations that has no high demand for Python or Nodejs. And why you bring up Ruby? In my country there is almost no job available for ruby developers but php has high demand in my country.
