  • Exotic Wine Travel sipping on French wine from Châteauneuf-du-Pape. In April 2019, we attended the Les Printemps de Châteauneuf-du-Pape and spent a week in the Châteauneuf-du-Pape wine region. We had a chance to taste some brilliant wines from two knockout vintages, 2015 and 2016. Learn more about Châteauneuf-du-Pape, see the vineyards, and discover what you should be drinking from this wine region in our latest video.

Apologies, at 5:36 it should read '2015 & 2016 Vintages'

I have always had CDP as my go-to-wine for pairing big game foods, as I have always encountered robust and peppery labels. Thanks for this in dept and insightful video, showing that the region has more diversity in styles and soil structure than what we read from the books. (That producer party at the end looked LIT!) Cheers!!

As a sommelier, what other foods do you pair these reds with besides big meat? We hope to party like that with you in person in the future!

@@drmatthewhorkey it is very nice with moose! But I have had great combinations with aged cheddar as well. Oh you know it!

Thanks, I hope next time we can go and see what producers are doing in Oz with GSMs first hand - we love those wines.
