    I frequently use this on cold 3 litre diesel engines with dead batteries. Hasn't let me down yet. Great product. I've used the 12v output to power an electric car jack. Did it effortlessly.

    Thanks for the great video tutorial. I thought that when connecting the cables you always connect and afterwards disconnect the negative first. What are your thoughts? I just received mine in the mail today and wanted to check out the videos first. I’ve always carried the standard jumper cables in my trunk but the problem is you need someone else to jump you. Sometimes no one has the time to help and therefore I’ve had to call AAA.

      It really doesn't matter so long as you're careful, but you're correct that you technically should connect the ground last and disconnect it first. Definitely worth having something like this in a pinch!

    Have you tried connecting the jumpstarter directly to the batteries' terminal connectors/clamps? Will it even work? I have a jumpstarter that directly kickstarts in this fashion.

    • @TonyTheTruckGuy
      @TonyTheTruckGuy Год назад

      Not sure what you mean exactly. The jump starter clamps in this video were connected directly to the battery terminals/cables when I used it. Or are you talking about if the battery is completely removed and you just hook the jump pack to the cables?

      @@TonyTheTruckGuy What I meant was what if you removed the battery and connected the jumpstarter crocodile clamps directly to the batteries' lugs. Would the Jumpstarter still be able to jumpstart the vehicle?

    • @TonyTheTruckGuy
      @TonyTheTruckGuy Год назад

      @@Hemanth71279 If by “battery lugs”, you mean the cables on the vehicle that connect to the battery normally, then yeah, it will work. You just have to press the boost button on the jump starter and it sends direct power. But I’m not sure how long the vehicle would run before the jump starter detects alternator voltage and cuts power.

      @@TonyTheTruckGuy Yes, you're correct. The battery lugs are the cylindrical clamps at the end of the cables that attach to the battery.

      I just happened to purchase a new Gooloo GT1500 and haven't tried the aforementioned step yet. However, I found a strange behavior when using it normally. When I attached the jumpstarter to my battery which is quite new (barely 2 months old), my car wouldn't start! But when I removed the Jumpstarter, it starts normally as expected. You may ask why I would want to use my Jumpstarter with a healthy battery. I just wanted to test the unit. That's why I asked you about the aforementioned scenario wherein you remove the car's battery and directly connect the Jumpstarter.

      @TonyTheTruckGuy Год назад

      Depends how you’re charging it and I have not run it totally dead, so it’s hard to say. A few hours with a wall charger most likely. I charged it from about 70% and it was done after like 2 hours.
