That ball seems useless in this situation, only wrecking the machine swinging it, id even think jabbing the bucket straight down on it would break more.
Now Chris sees why so many machines are scratched/dented to hell. He's in a wide open field in the first bit of concrete and he's got a scratch. Imagine if you're working congested industrial sites all the time...
@@letsdig18 clearing trees buy yourself with the equipment you have isn't that dangerous or hard if you know what your doing hell DP can do it but don't boast about the easy stuff and this video is so boring
@@jeffkenyon7084 clearing land is one of the most dangerous things you can do in any machine. Even if youre really good at what you do a dead tree limb you dont see can come out of that thing and come through the cab before you know it. Much less trees dont always go where you want or intend them to go. Its far safer and easier to just do the dirt work
Hi from Japan Chris you need to get yourself some attachments like we use here for processing concrete. It will save you a lot of time. From what I have seen what took you one day to process you could do in 1-2 hours . I have photos of these attachments and videos of them being used. Not sure how to get the photos or videos to you but as you own an Asian machine they will fit. They are used every day here in Japan
I'm sorry about the 220. That sucks to damage your machine. I have seen you paint the back of Uncle John's machine and your Linkbelts, so I know you can fix that scratch, and the 220 will look like new. Thanks for sharing, and God bless you and be safe out there
Chris great job, I feel your pain for the scratch. I trust this project will be profitable enough you can bring the 220 back to its shiny glorious appearance once again.
Oh B.... not the new machine - enough to make one cry as you take such good care of your machines LetsDig18. Wrecking ball not killing those dang flies but doing a great job on the cement.
you should have the pre crush conveyer running that sorts out the fines and all the mud and clay and soil- else youll have a lot of stuff mixed in in these wet conditions
its always crazy how much the crust of the ground will support compared to the ground just inches under it. that tangle of grass roots is stronger than most people would think
Don’t know how you are billing the customer but I hope you are getting plenty. Seems like the crusher should be on site and work together relieving over burden. As usual you have it well under control. Thanks
Curious to see how the quick 220 would do with ball. Having a thumb is a downside for using a ball. but carefully keeping it closer to the machine then swinging out and down it might be ok. You know what I’m saying….
Been operating heavy equipment for thirty seven years started out as a civil engineer in the u s air force. Never. Seen a wrecking ball used to break up concrete, doesn't look like it work pretty good Yes, you don't have a hammer attachment to fit that hole.
Wrecking ball improvements. Need a few links of anchor chain. One end on bucket mount ears. The other end on a 3 or 4 inch scrap hydraulic cylinder rod. Another 3 anchor chain links to you cable sling and your wrecking ball. This could really get your swing on. Question. How often are the boom , tipper and swing bearings getting greased with these side load forces on the pins and bushings.
Chris you really need a hydraulic breaker. Something like an HB10000. Watched some videos on that one and I think you could process all of this material very quick with one of those! As always, great video! Keep em' coming!
Seeing the amount of shock transferred, I would definitely be trying the tire in between mounts for ball trick from all the previous videos comment experts!
That “First” scratch always hurts the worst don’t know why but it really ticks a person off!! But unfortunately sooner or later it happens to all of us no matter how hard we try an keep our machines looking great 😢😢😢
The scratch....It's like when you get a new truck, just throw a chain in bed on the first day, scratch it up and be done with it so that you use it. Now you are not worrying about it getting scratched. Look at it as a beauty mark.
You might need to get you a thermal cell to put in the cab of the excavator to keep the 🪰 outside this summer the Flys will be bad. when it gets hot. Chris i hope for your sake you didn't under price this job because it's going to be hard on your equipment and it looks like it's going to be very time consuming. Very enjoyable video. Stay safe.
You got the wrecking ball technique figure out quickly! Man, that's a bunch of concrete. Sorry about the damage on the new 220 - I know that drives you crazy. Something tells me a body guy will be on that sooner than later.
I’m not extremely knowledgeable with large excavators but it looks like this concrete is much harder on the machines. The cab is all over the place compared to your normal usage digging in dirt. Is it rough on the center pin? Just curious. It seems like that’s unavoidable and maybe why you typically see wheel loaders doing this type of work.
Oh Hell Naw !! Your going to have to see if ya can get that fixed !! Or a nice add to the Bill !! I'm OCD about things like that myself, that would drive me crazy... lolol... But, On with the show , I guess !! looks like your getting threw all that mess pretty quick, I know it sucks having to got back threw it and get it twice, from all ya miss that's on the bottom. But, all part of it !! Great as always Chris !! Have a Great Evening, And, On too the Next !!
how much wear and tear does this do to your machine not to mention you yourself with all those shocks each time the ball hits. Hope it's all worth it in the end.
Chris has stated many many times he'll never put a hammer on his equipment. hydraulic hammer take a toll on equipment. Chris doesnt do enough concrete demo work to justify the cost and wear hydraulic hammer will do
Suspect you are disturbing a lot fly habitat hiding out in their concrete home spaces. You have what appears to be great coordination to fling that breaker ball the right way to hit your tartet.
When we torn down our hog barns we used sledge hammers to break up the concrete. Younger then.
I'd be scared a chunk of rock would come flying back into the glass on that excavator.
I would be too!
thats why in the last video he was saying he is trying to swing the ball away from him so that wont happen
I was wondering the odds that all windows survive the project.
That ball seems useless in this situation, only wrecking the machine swinging it, id even think jabbing the bucket straight down on it would break more.
Borrow Andrew's hydraulic hammer breaker....
Now Chris sees why so many machines are scratched/dented to hell. He's in a wide open field in the first bit of concrete and he's got a scratch. Imagine if you're working congested industrial sites all the time...
Scratches are one thing big dents and the counter weights worn completely off is another
There’s another thing that comes into play here, if the operator own the machine they treat it a lot better.
Maybe you haven't noticed but I do land clearing majority of the time and that's way more dangerous than any other type of work just about
@@letsdig18 clearing trees buy yourself with the equipment you have isn't that dangerous or hard if you know what your doing hell DP can do it but don't boast about the easy stuff and this video is so boring

Any time you mess with concrete or demo material it will beat the hell out of equipment no matter how careful you are.
definitely true
Chris great job, I feel your pain for the scratch. I trust this project will be profitable enough you can bring the 220 back to its shiny glorious appearance once again.

Chris is a real smart guy. If he’s doing it this way it’s because he is fixed fee to the customer but has to pay the crusher by the hour/day
Touching this material 3 to 4 times and still not in the crusher. Like I said, Even at time and materials the customer would be better off.
Curious to see how the quick 220 would do with ball. Having a thumb is a downside for using a ball. but carefully keeping it closer to the machine then swinging out and down it might be ok. You know what I’m saying….
It would be cool if you could connect with a graphics shop and get a full vinyl wrap for the excavator like on the fuel trailer.
Anyone who can take a cluster and organize it could probably do almost anything. Your ability to organize is the key to your success.
It looks like new decals will fix most of that scrape.
And hey, at least the wrecking ball didn't fall off mid-swing and land on it.
Wow that is so hard on your excavator, it spikes the hydraulic system so high at each pounding
Been operating heavy equipment for thirty seven years started out as a civil engineer in the u s air force. Never.
Seen a wrecking ball used to break up concrete, doesn't look like it work pretty good Yes, you don't have a hammer attachment to fit that hole.
Hydraulic breaker is the way to go. And it don’t take a very big machine to get a lot done fast.
Wrecking ball improvements. Need a few links of anchor chain. One end on bucket mount ears. The other end on a 3 or 4 inch scrap hydraulic cylinder rod. Another 3 anchor chain links to you cable sling and your wrecking ball. This could really get your swing on.

Job well done sorry about the machine 👍🏻
As sausage fingers would say 'not my machine' 😮
Fly's are terrible here in North GA. Making little rocks from big rocks.
Chris you really need a hydraulic breaker. Something like an HB10000. Watched some videos on that one and I think you could process all of this material very quick with one of those! As always, great video! Keep em' coming!
He’s not going into this business so why should he spend money buying one?
That looks like one of logger Wades machines now!
Seeing the amount of shock transferred, I would definitely be trying the tire in between mounts for ball trick from all the previous videos comment experts!
Concrete is hard on any machine breakers on a machine are worse wreaking ball was a good idea great video thanks Chris
You need a multi-processor with concrete jaws if your going to keep doing this.
Fred Flintstone !! lol love watching just messing with you, 😅... keep up the awesome videos!! Thanks for sharing
They make a crusher thumb and a jack hammer for your excavator.
Seems like that would be more efficient.
I miss all the repair and service videos.
That “First” scratch always hurts the worst don’t know why but it really ticks a person off!! But unfortunately sooner or later it happens to all of us no matter how hard we try an keep our machines looking great 😢😢😢
YES! Fast motion was great! Regular speed...not so great.
Didn’t a hammer take over the wreaking ball🤔
I’ve seen operators pick up a heavy object n drop it instead of swinging.
Material like that is super hard on a machine no matter how easy you try to be
Chris hire a dent repair specialist to fix the 220... i hope he could put a smile on your day
The scratch....It's like when you get a new truck, just throw a chain in bed on the first day, scratch it up and be done with it so that you use it. Now you are not worrying about it getting scratched. Look at it as a beauty mark.

I wonder how fast Mr. Diggs layout would process that mess?
THANKS!
What's wrong with just using a breaker?! This way seems like a lot more work and TONS more wear on your machine
it looks like it's about the right length for swinging
Thank you.
Thanks
Swing to the left and swing to the right. Let the dangle dangle
That scratch just gives it character 👍. Merely a flesh wound.
You got the wrecking ball technique figure out quickly! Man, that's a bunch of concrete. Sorry about the damage on the new 220 - I know that drives you crazy. Something tells me a body guy will be on that sooner than later.
it's gonna be a great roadway.
Where did all that concrete come from
All day long they're singing (Hoh! Hah!) Working on a chain gang!
Is this material going to be cheaper that just buying a load of crushed rock?
Looks like you have the swing of things need to have that song wrecking ball playing in the background lol
Hey, what brand of purse you swinging out there? Is that a gucci? Looks Hollywood hills.
Hydraulic breaker every time , and better to close the window, better a broken window then Chris loose an eye, stay safe every time
Chris also you can't use hammer excavator.

is this what you had in mind when you bought the dredger ? Vision !
Kind looking like Fred Flintstone in the rock quarry.
Gotta get the first scratch out eventually
Cost Analysis Chris? Machine hardship, Expectations with your end goal? Just asking?
At what time was damage ?
What if you swing the wrecking ball in a circle and bring it down? 🙈
Vinyl wrap the machine ?
Or just that section that has been scratched, match the dark colour of the machine ,add a new decal !
Hope DP isn't watching 😅
Sorry about the scratch. I know how you try so hard to keep your equipment looking good.
why not a small hammer with chissold on the Yanmar and the 330 making road and turning things , think on it ciao thank you for the good work video
A lot concrete for sure. You going use it on the property?
Trade it in
Geez Chris you sure have an ocean of concrete to crush
Man that’s going to be the most expensive crushed concrete in the world but it’s a fun day when you can use a wrecking ball
Concrete crusher in your future?
It might help to take a bath every once in a while lol
Atleast it wasn't a lump of concrete onto of your track
What was all that concrete from
Man just be careful. If that ball comes back at you I'd hate to see what could happen on a machine with no cage.
This has got to be really rough on your machines
Oh Hell Naw !! Your going to have to see if ya can get that fixed !! Or a nice add to the Bill !! I'm OCD about things like that myself, that would drive me crazy... lolol... I saw broken machine in the title and was waiting for a busted windshield on the Hyundai!
Its got a scratch on it... time to trade it in....
with bucked can do faster
A pulverizer would probably be better than the wrecking ball
how much wear and tear does this do to your machine not to mention you yourself with all those shocks each time the ball hits. Hope it's all worth it in the end.
Hi Chris, a pneumatic pecker extension might go faster... noisier, but more accurate application of kinetic energy
Get some touch up paint. It will be ok.
Big Grizzly to sort large from small?
good concrete crusher video
LetsBreak18!
Looks so tedious, need autonomous machine
Major breakage done to the new machine!😢
It's nothing that a new decal and a little rattle can paint will fix. There not made to stay in the shed. It happens to the best.
Why not use hydraulic hammer attachment instead of that wrecking ball.
I expected a cracked windscreen.
Chris my friend what you need is a hydraulic hammer I have three brand new hydraulic hammer 10000
Chris has stated many many times he'll never put a hammer on his equipment. hydraulic hammer take a toll on equipment. Chris doesnt do enough concrete demo work to justify the cost and wear hydraulic hammer will do
How many years of dumping concrete there is that accumulated?
I think that it was a hog farm.
Having to do it is one thing, using your nice equipment to do it is another.
They don't have a shitkicker on the property, dedicated to this task ?
feels like you put us in prison, making little ones outa big ones.
Change your name to Fred Flintstone.
YABBA DABBA DOO!!!
What a tedious job.
Your really getting your moneys worth outta that 330. You might try and find a pulverizer for that machine
Suspect you are disturbing a lot fly habitat hiding out in their concrete home spaces. You have what appears to be great coordination to fling that breaker ball the right way to hit your tartet.
