    lol, those are cute, they look like they are on tree-stars that littlefoot has been eating in land before time. I like how you cleverly, yet stylishly swapped the s in bugs with z. It's like tom is reinventing the lady bugs and made lady bugz.

    I have the Sculpey glaze and it's really nice. It gives it a shine but not overly shiny. Finger nail polish also gets sticky over time for some reason.

    Some other glazes you can you is Future floor wax or decoart triple thick glaze. That one makes it super shiny, like glass. But I am sure the Future floor wax can be purchased at your local supermarket or drugstore. I use it on my clay jewelry. Hope that helped. You a truly amazing and very talented. Great job!

    @ailse491 Yes, you can cook this polymer clay. And lucky for you, since you want to do small bug, they make a small oven made just for polymer clay. I bet even Sculpey has there own brand!! After all, I got their Pasta Machine.. You can spray the whole bug with Shellac [Lowes] Or clear fingernail polish for wet look... although, I'm hearing you can use floor polish (I never used it)
    I like bugs, I once made a tic!! [first video, at the end..lol] I'll definitely be making more bugs!!

    Hi, Thanks for your videos ! I have been working with polymer clay for several years but still enjoy watching videos on even the most basic designs because I feel there is always something new to learn. I just wanted to give you a suggestion for your glaze.... Nail polish can yellow over time and sculpey glaze sometimes remains a bit sticky. You should try future floor polish. It's my fav and once it dries you can bake again to set it (I put mine in 15 min @ 200) I Hope you don't mind my advice

    Very cute. I tried using clear nail polish to finish my pieces and found that it flaked terribly after a couple of weeks. I have been using Minwax water based polyurethane high gloss and it works wonderfully for polymer clay and cold porcelain pieces.

    lovely little ladybirds ,love the work you do on them,I had a tumbler b4,,,you can normally get 1,2,And 3 barrel tumblers,they have different grits,course,med fine,and powder polish,they run in cycles,depending on the gemstone rock and its hardness,,normally all same type of hardness in a barrel,with course grit first, for first week,checking through out the week,with water,,same with med fine and the powder polish,,it takes a while,but worth it ,the barrel has to run non stop for each week,apart from when you have to check on them,,I noticed in one of your videos you were thinking of getting one,if I'm right,hope this will help ,they normally come with instructions,anyway, good luck with that too,.

  • @TheBroodingTom
    @TheBroodingTom  12 лет назад

    @Ikimification I do follow the same instructions. which are: 275 degrees for 15 minutes per 1/4 inch thickness.. You may want to check your oven and see if the temperatures are correct. If they are still not quite done, you can bake for and extra 5 minutes or so.. it's just going to take some experimenting a little. Trial and error. They make small ovens just for this, you can find them at Hobby-Lobby. (too small for me though lol) Thanks for the Hugs! =D

    Those are really neat!! My sister loves lady bug everything and this would be great to make for her birthday in three weeks! My trouble is how long to bake them? Do you recall the temp and time? I know it says on the package but it's never been quite enuf for what I've made so far. And things end up a bit too pliable. Thanks for any help you can give me! Hugs.

    what cute ladybugs!
    Did you know in the Middle Ages that farmers prayed to the Blessed Lady, Virgin Mary, to save their crops? And the ladybugs came to the rescue. Thus being named “beetles of Our Lady," which are why ladybugs are considered good luck. And if you spot one, it’s believed to bring luck in love, grant your wishes, maybe bring a financial windfall.
    Boy ladybugs are call ladybugs too, ha-ha. (poor little guys)
