The Meaning of the song:
Devotees invoke goddess Chamunda, a distinguished form of Devi Durga with her valiant triumphant image while singing in unison remembering her different profiles - sometime smashing all ills and evil spirits, sometime killing the demons like Madhu-Kaitava and Shumbha-Nishumbha. In contrast sometime she is an embodiment of forgiveness and sometime she is busy doing all good to ‘Trilok’, the three worlds in the cosmos. The invocation goes saying that once she bestowed boon to Lord Brahma and there is a prayer in the end that she favours her devotees destroying their enemies and bless them with empowerment of glory of victory in all their acts and efforts.
