Apparently jinwoo jumping like goku was added in the anime, this wasn't in the manhwa, A1 PICTURES may have coincidentally played a tribute to both akira and his greatest creation that is GOKU

You don't even know how the production of an anime works, it's impossible for them to have made a sequence in just a few days, besides Goku didn't invent that way of jumping, it has nothing to do with it.
I know what you say sounds very "admirable" but I don't think it's the case.
Episode 9 cut content: In the manhwa, Jinwoo was a more menacing executioner. One of the convicts pretended to be dead from the B-rank Hunter's attacks, then Jinwoo just threw the surviving convict to the Gobins' Den and watched him die there. And after that, proceeds to eliminate the goblins and exit the dungeon.
Too bad we didn't see it all happen and watched Jinwoo become dark twice in one episode 😭
The anime just has Jinwoo do a throwaway line of "I feel like I'm losing a part of myself" or something. I can't even remember. But the comic SHOWS that he's getting a bit darker.

I think not adapting execution scene is very good decision, Sung Jin-Woo in Manhwa and even Novel was too dynamic character, the last time he felt compelled to kill in order to save his life, which he could not accept until the end, and literally days later executes a prisoner deeming him unworthy of life? It doesn't make much sense because the loss of emotion is gradual as he himself says, by this point he should not yet be a cold-blooded killer and follow the "Kill or be Killed" philosophy. Anime makes his change of character not so sudden and edgy. But that's my opinion, I know many of you would like to see him being badass by throwing the prisoner to the boss room, but I think anime did it better for the consistency.

ONE small complaint; In the manhwa, towards the end, Jinwoo noticed that one of the three convicts was playing dead so he could escape the dungeon. Our boy said "nah, fuck that," grabbed the scumbag, then THREW his ass to the boss to be finished off while he just stood back and watched, scolding that bastard the whole time. THEN he beat the boss. It really emphasized how cold Jinwoo was becoming every time the system forced him to kill someone.
As some have already mentioned in the comment section. A-1 Pictures don't follow the story of manhwa, they adapt the light novel and add original content for characterization. A-1 Pictures is known for crafting light-novels so to manhwa readers don't rely on the story of the manhwa. It's only the art they use as a source from the manhwa.
Solo Leveling started as a web novel on KakaoPage then got adapted into webtoon (manhwa) and light-novel by D&C Media.
That fact that this is my 5th favorite new show this season shows how good this season is. Unwanted, Rebirth, Healer, and 99 swap places, but then this show comes in next and that's nothing against solo leveling

I saw so many shows that when a person enjoys killing he just enjoy killing just 1 stab everyone but this is what actually many people enjoying killing do... they enjoy the process so much it will be something like ritual and/or torture. I didnt realize it until it was revealed even if the clues were there bcs i was so imersed in the episode. I know it bcs im fascinated by peoples minds and behaviors and learn a lot about it for as many different types of people i can. Also that look Jin gave to the assasin.. am i imagining things or was it the same glare that the statue god gave?

I HATE that they skipped the part where senses that one of the prisoners only pretends to be dead and then throws him into Boss room to finish what Kang has started. I feel like it really hammers in how much Jin Woo has changed.

Healing potions he were able to buy with the shop currency he had are way less effective than Joohee's heal, she is Rank B healer after all.
There was nothing they could do to save Mr. Kim because he had lost too much blood already, and healing wont bring the blood back to your body.
in the manwha one of the rapists serviced and knowing what he did sung feed him to the boss. I wish the anime kept that.
ngl kang and sung lowkey had a dynamic between them , both assassin fast and strong , both of them hide their ranks , also both of them kill hunters if needed , in manwha kang refused offer and tried to turn it down but the father rised the price so he accepted it he tried to kill prisoners without hurting hunters too
i already read the manwha, but even then, i was still hyped throughout the whole episode! Shows they are doing a great job with the series
Jungho and Kim being killed off was not expected. I guess we did get a death flag for Kim though last episode when he was talking with his wife and daughter. Still sucks. Loved how Joohee snapped out of that state of awe and fear when Sung yelled at her. Also, I hope we get to see Joohee and Sung do more dungeons together in the future now that they're updated on each other, plus Sung can actually defend himself now. Looking forward to next episode picking up on Joohee asking Sung about that monster core.
almost like I thought it would end, them two dying and something happening with the prisoners, wasn't expecting their supervisor to be the main culprit though

Even knowing now what’s not included in the anime, I have really enjoyed this series from episode one onward and can’t wait for more. Keep it up, Solo Leveling.
What an awesome episode I really liked the action in it. But also after that last big death flag from Kim. I know for sure that he was not going to make it out alive. Do I did not expect the inspector to kill him. Which surprised me to see that the inspector was the actual monster in this group not the criminals. (Ok the criminals where also monsters but not on the same level literally). But that fight between Jinwoo and the inspector was so good. As it was pretty good animated for a sword fight. Especially in how we got to see all of the many abilities from both parties. But I know that Jinwoo would win as with his murderous intent skill he could debuff the other one down to 50% speed. Which made short work on him. I also liked how the inspector did explain that both him and Jinwoo was killing machine as that is what have been shown. Also good to see Song and Joohee to say that they worked together to take down the Inspector. And thereby preserve his secret for a bit longer
I highly recommend reading the light novel. This is nothing compared to what happens going forward. I just hope it continues to be animated well. If it does OH!.. boy is everyone in for a good time.

So, did they get rid of that character development for Jin Woo or do you all think that him dragging the prisoner into the boss room to next episode? because I think that was pivotal in showing him changing.
They prolly skip it
Since they showed him got out of the dungeon already
Making it a inner though flashback for no reason is weird
So if they showed it next episode they need a reason for jinwoo to remember it himself doing it
I mean they can redeem it in a flashback later. Showing him on the way to the boss checking the prisoners and also that Johee and Song left to the gate. But yeah it not being in this episode is a miss.
OK so the art and animation for this episode was crazy but I still got mix feelings, they cut out a few important panels that manhwa readers were waiting for, but fingers still crossed they can still show it as a flashback scene😊

The scenes they removed are no longer important, it's unnecessary to show them later, they just adapted it that way because of the pace and time they have
I can't remember any panels that were important that got left out. Everything important was included. The prisoner getting tossed to the goblins by jinwoo is irrelevant and that's the only thing the really left out
the prisioner scene is Manhwa original, but in the anime they are mainly following the Light Novel and not the Manhwa, thats the motive why we didnt see the prisioner being thrown at the goblins scene.
But yeah maybe they can put it as flashback, just dont get your hopes up.

@@neoparmar2169 fr bro, many suggested and even I thought they'll include it in a more effective way in the next ep but most of the people actually said that it'll be better if they didn't include it overall for more reasonable and smooth development. Well it does sound a good argument but still it'll always feel a bit disappointing for the manhwa readers if something like this gets skipped even if skipping that is more convenient

in the manwha he tried to turn down the offer because he knew he wouldve had to kill hunters also but the father rised the price so he can kill hunters and criminals too but he accepted it also he said hed let them go but sung mocked him and refused the offer so yeah , kang is better person than what yall think
Purple hair messed up when he triggered the system. The system dont play when someone threatens Sung Chad Woo. Good thing he perished early. He would have suffered if this was a beyond S class Jin Woo. ARISE!

A lot of hunters keep going on about rank and type. A lower rank can't beat a higher rank, like that is a given. Ranks mean that much of a difference. Then its what type you are. Assassin is too fast for a power type to keep up with. A swordsmen can't keep up with an assassin. There is no way a mage can keep up with an assassin. Class, class, class talk in a world where there are no classes. The classes being quoted are a stereotype used to classify what the powers and stats given to a hunter are capable of. A huge, broad generalization. And the stereotype is useful, but it shouldn't be treated like it is dependable. If it was, then the B rank healer would of had the best chance of beating the B rank assassin, and I don't think anyone though that she would be able to fight at all. Simply put what the healer is capable of actually puts her combat ability below even the C rank mage in her party.
And then there is Sung Woo. When he was an E-rank everybody assumed he was a Power type, because it has no distinguishing features. Now that Sung Woo has been totally reborn with a completely new source of power that had nothing to do with his old E-rank self, guess which type he is?
Sung Woo is a mage type. Our assassin style dagger master is actually a mage type. People in the know make a big deal out of type. Type doesn't actually matter, and that is great.
What’s crazy is that in the manwha one of the prisoners is still alive and Jinwoo takes the prisoner and drags him to the boss room where he watches the boss kill him and only then goes and solos the boss.
Feels like the anime didn’t want to do that since it might be too controversial to his character.

Didn't Jinwoo stare into the abyss and see that grinning face staring back? Jinwoo always seems to lose his fear of whatever critter he's going against when he thinks back to that damned smile.
Now Jinwoo is a Player in this System. When he warned the assassin not to hold so much bloodlust... Ooop. Too late. Oooh damn! You dun messed up!
But what is the system changing Jinwoo into? (Please no spoilers, I'm currently anime only).

And i was waiting for your reaction because it was hard to guess who was the villain at the beginning of the episode
And dont forget the dagger has the poison debuffed so when he got stubbed the battle was over 10/10 epidose one step ahead for the best moment of this season and it's gonna happened at the episode 11 stay tuned 😎

i read the mangwa never fished it. somthing i love his the foreshadowing of things to come. without it being obvious of the anime only. my main worry we not gonna have enough time for the meat of this next ark.
it's all but officially confirmed this is a split cour it was supposed to be 24 episodes before the delays so while it might not be a normal 3 month break split cour this should be a part 2 later this year
ONCE the 12 episodes are up, you should read the manhwa if you haven't already.
Another great episode of Solo Leveling imho. I think A1 pictures did a great job with the fights this episode. I think Jinwoo really impressed Joohee (the B-ranked healer girl) and the other dude really looks up to Jinwoo now for saving his butt twice in a row, so I'd expect the secret of his strength upgrade to be safe for now... However, I think Jinwoo is a little bit too preoccupied with what is going on with himself and trying to save his mother to focus on a romance with Joohee right now, so I don't see this picnic unofficial date with Joohee ending well.
Imagine all of them would have stayed at the altar and said "YES" to becoming a player...would have become a crazy battle royale! Mind blown!
Oh I would be the 1st person to run and leave everyone behind.
Even though I ask myself suicidal questions everyday, I would rather choose suicide rather then simply get killed.

They skipped one of Jin Woo's most gangsta moments in this episode.
The pacing in this episode was PERFECT. My main concern was that we'd get a ciffhanger.
Nope. This episode BLEW through the action and was fast and good.
Faster than the comic, dude. And it was a GOOD CHOICE. When 2 characters' main strength is speed, prolonging the episode would be a bad direction-choice.
Poor Kim. His wittle bittle daughter.
But even though this was never addressed, I assume if the Hunter Association itself had an employee kill a Hunter, I'm SURE they compensate the family of that Hunter. Hopefully, for life.

The change in art style is throwing me off NGL. Voice acting was on point though but comparing the fightsl scenes here vs the one with the giant snake..... no contest.
