Hi,, I bought this laptop about 4 years ago.It has had very little use due to the fact that it was always laggy from day 1.It has Windows 10.Should I replace the drive or would reinstalling maybe Windows again be the best option?

INSTALL Windows 8.1. I'm using it. It doesn't lag now.

I just replaced the Memory (RAM) instead of the SSD to a 8GB instead of a 4GB and it works so much faster now, windows 10 still as well, i had the exact same problem, i bought it about 4yrs ago and its always been a major problem with the simplest of things, like turning clicking a link on a page, i may as well have gone and made a cup of tea while i was waiting, now its so easy just a few seconds, cost me £36 on amazon and i changed it myself, i used a video from you tube and did it in about 30 mins. honestly this works big time. I finally have a decent laptop!!
im just looking on here to see if i can fiddle with anything else now ive done the hard bit.

@@saladfingersify Changing from hard drive to solid state drive turned out to be a disaster,, long story short, I couldn't boot the new ssd, without getting professional help doing this is very difficult. If it were a different laptop, might have gone a lot smoother,, so my last shot is maybe trying the Ram upgrade,,, I'm hoping it's a lot easier than changing ssd right?

@@david81085 Sorry but upgrading the ram seems much harder since the slot is in the back of the motherboard.

I upgraded to Linux Mint Mate about 3 years ago and left the configuration as it was. Going to upgrade to SSD and 4Gb RAM soon because the HDD is very slow.
