I live a mile off the trail near the Chipola River. We got six inches of snow from the storm. It lasted four or five days before all of it melted. The last time we got over an inch was 1974.
Putting on some miles, wow! It's amazing your feet are holding out. That bird of prey almost looked like an osprey. They have a mask across their eyes. I don't know what size it was. I have one that nests about a mile from my house. Probably some kind of hawk.
Nice to see a whole bunch of hikers together. Looks like a fun time.
Enjoying your trip.
Be happy you were down south , the norther areas ( Panhandle and upper Florida) had snow.
Cheers! Sending warm thoughts your way.
Looks like a genuinely good time! Be safe and keep on trekking!

Been following this journey since the beginning. I look forward to seeing how your time on the trail plays out! Thank you
The FT sure seems to be crowded compared to just 3-4 years ago. I only saw a handful of hikers back then. It’s such a weird trail.
I agree with other commentor. Osprey is your bird of prey.
crypto was on the PCT the year I was. what a small community it is haha
Yep, definitely!
