  • How to cast net fishing bait.
In this fishing video I'm fishing in a creek/stream. The fishing bait I'm using is the preferred food for Smallmouth Bass, Largemouth Bass, and Spotted Bass that live in the creek/small river that I'm fishing. My fishing tackle/rod is very simple. It's a cane pole. Welcome to Rocky Drake Outdoors! Hope ya'll enjoy and please free to share this fishing video with your friends and family. Leave us a comment we love to read the comments and I will respond back ! ! !

When I was a kid back in the 60's my Paw Paw would take me to his cattle farm lease in what was called Paradise valley, it was bordered by the Tennessee River on the West side and The Paint Rock river on the North side, Walked those banks a many of times with a cane pole and a coffee can of worms. Didn't know about stringers back then but all us country kids had a Barlow pocket knife and would cut us a stick with a fork at the bottom to carry our fish with..Great video Rocky and it brought so many great memories of family that have gone to heaven that walked those banks with us kids...

Good cane pole video. We came down from Middle Tennessee and met you and Richard a couple weeks ago. It’s great to see y’all promoting the sport of fishing showing some of the old ways that maybe the younger generation has not seen before. Keep up the good work we love y’all here in Tennessee.
    Thanks,
    Wally

Cool story Rocky…..back in the day my pop had a 2 acre pond that he made and used the dirt to build up his property. Anyhow, alligators will travel like the otter and they will clean out a pond and then move to the next pond. Needless to say we always had alligator in the freezer. 👍😂 pops had it stocked with channel cats and bass,,.the egrets stocked it with blue gill, red eared sun perch and crappie. 😂😂😂 LSU brought the bass and cats…..when he sold the property it had 7 lbs bass and 15 lb channel cats. 👍 enjoyed the video Rocky and look forward to your next one. Take care and have a great week. 👍🇺🇸🙏

Well, it's cool where you're at Rocky. I'm in Florida at a 110 is normal temperatures here now, so I'm waiting for the fall to hit and hit the cool off before I go fishing. And when it does, I'm going fishing and camping? Every minute of every hour of every day, I can and enjoy it. Because life is short and I'm gonna enjoy the sweetness of this life, this go around. So i'm waiting on it to cool off

Rocky, tip the cane pole, to near vertical, and the fish will glide right to you. Once you wear them down a little bit of course. Also choked up on the pole. A little bit, and drop the butt of the pole down closer to the water. The line is the same length as the pole.
