I'm from Romania and I remember I wanted this song to receive more points than Cezar's "It's my life". And it did. I admire Aliona because although she made a mistake at 1:00 she went on singing as if nothing happened. I was a bit nervous that she wouldn't qualify for the final because of that mistake and that the song is in Romanian.
I remember hearing this for the first time and immediately loving it and loving the language. Then I realized I understood about 30/40% of what she was saying. Never knew they speak Romanian in Moldova and that Romanian was so similar to italian before this song :) still listen to this regularly

She won with the song 'O mie'. The english version 'An million' was made afterwards to promote the song throughout Europe. At first there were rumours that An million would be the version sang in Sweden.
