Hello mister, as the people had said, this seal is made in Brazil. Sabó is an oem manufacturer. Maxion/international made the 300tdi under the name HS 2.5 and HSD 2.5. HS stands for high speed, because the rpm is higher than the other diesel engines. This engine came out in a pickup truck Chevrolet S10, Mercedes Sprinter Van 310 and 312, Ford Ranger, ford f-1000 and LR Disco 1 and Def (untill 2006 here). Then, they release an upgraded engine, the HS 2.8 Gemini or Powerstroke (on ford ranger). The same construction, but with larger pistons and cilinders. Oh, by the way, only LR and MBB had intercooler and turbo.
I am currently travelling across South America and had oil leaking out the bell housing. Bought that seal in Argentina in preparation for changing and eventually had the job done in Brazil
Thanks for sharing
Just cant get enough of the content. Absolute legend thanks so much for keeping the video's going. Definitely beats mundane TV in the evenings that's for sure.
I've recently just had to re do my rear crank seal on my 89 300tdi converted 90 (off road spec). Fitted a HD clutch kit which came with the seal as part of the kit. The original seal wasn't leaking but while I was there decided to replace it - Big mistake. Long story short I've had to take the box back off again and fit another seal. Absolute nightmare but *touch (clench) wood* it's now sealed on the crank OK. I'm going to be pulling the transfer next and doing a rebuild with an Ashcroft ATB so will be studying your transfer video's religiously.
Again, thanks so much Mike!
Thanks!
You will not regret the ATB!
The first video of seals by a Canadian that hasn't involved blood.
They say Canadians are boring, but they love clubbing!
@@BritannicaRestorations Even by my low low standards that is close to the mark.
(Funny though)
Nice translation, Mike. ... they're made in Brazil... looked like Portuguese, to me, but often there's Spanish and Portuguese. Regardless, that looks like a great upgrade.
You are right!
Useful info Mike, thanks.
Interesting !
Glad you think so!
So, I assume the new holes fit available drilled hole on the crankcase housig?
You have to drill and tap new holes
Hi Mike
My 300Tdi came with an engine manufactured in Argentina.
(Says so on the block)
As I have never been there, what rear crankshaft seal do you think will be there?
Thanks again for the great video.
If it is a 300Tdi, it will be Rover pattern
So Turners sells the upgraded one with the extra bolt holes?
Yes £45 inc VAT
T«Hi Mike, just a correction. The language on the seal box is in Portuguese, not in spanish. At least in the front of the package. Don't know in the back label you read and translate.😁
Thank you - I was waiting for someone to spot that!
LoL!

Mike, on a different note any updates on the GPS speedo?
It's still working well, however I have noticed it takes a while for it to locate a signal in a few places when driving off, but once signals are working they never drop out
Great thanks, I've been thinking to get one. Cheers
