As I am typing right now, I am flashing Slim7 rom onto my GT-5100 because the Lineage OS I flashed before made it laggy. Since you had a good experience with Omni, I'm going to try that one next if this Slim7 is laggy as well
Thanks . I was able to update to omni from kitkat on my gt3113 . As you described in video , we need patience to update as it took several tries to be successful. This is the first i flashed my tab from 2012. For normal day to day use it works much better now. Thank you again. Few observations , battery drain fast , video blackouts while using inbuilt browser , sound setting does not control the set activity.
I agree, gapps is like malware, it slows the device so much, I'd go with microg if you really need gapps though. I agree with using it in a custom way, I had a p3100 and I ended up putting it on an golf mk2 car as a head unit, connected it to an amplifier, and an arduino on each door, It ended up getting sold, I still have the ltablet but it's battery less and without a back cover
Roger my friend goes for old tablets to - I made de-googled Samsung stock roms for them and debloated etc and they are with the right apps great devices until they die one day -
It's unstable on GT-P3113 (7") it may work on the 10", but it's too buggy on the 7" Tab. It freezes and locks-up often without Gapps installed or the display in optimized mode. Camera doesn't work, but if you install a 3rd party camera it will. Google picks up my 7" Tab as Galaxy Tab2 10.1 and this may be where all the problems come in when installed on the Galaxy Tab2 7. Either way it's unusable as it is, I'll be dropping back to something more stable.
If Andy can do something like dual bootin. Ubuntu touch +sailfish os would be great just to have some piece of mind and use again many devices .i would donate for that

Omnirom nougat runs a little faster than lineageos nougat did for me. On xda dev forum, most user say that omnirom 6(marshmellow) will run faster. What is your opinion about this @channel48

Because after wiping you need to first reboot back into recovery then flash Rom - Go try that and thumb up this post if it helped
