The fact that you didnt know that this car is OFFICIALLY in a class of Q3 and not Q5 tells everything about seriousness of this "test"

this was really a test of the incompetent... Maybe they give the DS7 such a bad score because they are afraid that it is actually much better than the evoque .

too be really Honest I own a F56 mini cooper (basically a bmw mini) and the chrome is aluminum and you can see its not chrome its brushed aluminum and its expensive chrome...so yeah

I drive ALOT for my work and i hate going to germany because usually they only rent out german cars and i dislike them. The ds7 is hands down the best car ive driven. I feel like they made conclusions on false basis or too fast to judge.. and probably also they are german car biased.
Also i want to know, what does americans and Australians think and feel about modern french cars like this one ? I know they have alot of big ass suv's and pickups so im very curious what they would think and say if i drove one of my french cars there :p

I didn't see any actual "proper driving", they showed nothing that the car does well and believe me, the DS7 Crossback does a lot of stuff really well!
They seemed more interested in promoting Ronnie Sullivan (Sorry Ronnie) than giving their viewers what they want ....

Scores 10 in my mind as there is nothing like it on sale
Most cars have plastic buttons that look metal. The reason? They're not metal because if they were, you really wouldn't want to touch them on a hot day. My mum's brand new A Class is mostly plastic.
Comparing an A class with a citroen suv? That's smart. Just like comparing Niagara falls with the Pacific Ocean. Both with water, but different audience.

I'm sure they know that the headlights move because they are directional headlights as per Citroen tradition, funny they omitted that. Nothing wrong with car showing off what it can do when you turn it on
I would rate it an 7.5 or an 8 /10 it’s a very nice car and there defo bring bias and if it had an Audi or bmw badge on they would rate it higher .
_Also comes with a 300hp Plug-in Hybrid drivertrain fyi_

That car is the only SUV I like. And I am not talking luxury 4by4s like the Rovers, I am talking proper roadlubbers like that one. The DS manages to be actually pretty and unique, not looking too fat and bloated and their shade of yellow is very nice.
They need to do one on the Renault koleos.

There is not much quality difference between 2012 and 2018 to be honest. In terms of camera technology.
@@80smusic43 Well with the camera's tv programs use it does. They all have those enormous camera's but the quality of almost all tv programs literally suck most of the time, it looks like 480i.
i mean look at youtubers like MKBHD, Linus tech Tips. They all have WAY WAY WAY better quality video's than tv programs do right now and probally don't have such a big budget like tv programs
There's something with the wheel arches and wheels that makes it look cheap
Yes, it looks like a cheap chinese copy of an Audi Q5 from certain angles. They use too many soft creases in design, not enough sharp and well defined lines, and there are too many shiny bits. I don't know why certain manufacturers fail to realize that everything that's shiny, and that isn't wood or real metal, LOOKS CHEAP. Shiny plastic just a has a cheap shine to it, it has no depth in it. When you look at glossy polished wood trim, it looks expensive, because there's depth and texture under the shiny surface, while the plastic is just shiny on the surface, no depth, no transparent layer on top that makes whatever is underneath glossy.
If all those exterior bits that are shiny black plastic were matte dark grey, and all the chrome was satin, it would look much better.
Also, wheels are too small and wheel arches are too small as well. On top of that, the wheelbase is too short, and the front overhang is too big because it's a FWD car. FWD cars always have big overhangs on the front, real SUV's that are designed to be AWD have short front overhangs. The proportions of this car are all over the place.
imho it's more the black plastic which makes it look cheap, it's a bit similar to the audi a4 quattro allroad
The Ultra Prestige looks much better than the one they used. Also, the colour choice imo wasn’t doing it any favours. The wheels on their model look cheap and don’t suit the car very well. The Ultra Prestige’s wheels are so much nicer.

Agree with Tiff about exterior/interior. It just doesn't look high end. Chrome ruins it, Citroen SUV looks a lot better and has a clear design focus.

To be honest Lexus beat up the germans premium segment few years ago, and the Mazda is taking the crown place for mid segment; and from what I researched DS is between Lexus and Mazda as quality. So yeah.... it's called premium quality per segment, not a premium car brand. I eager to get a test drive with the DS 4... I like more that design...

BeyerT1 shut the hell up with your tough talk. I am a car enthusiast and have actually test driven both the Citroen and Audi Q5. Citroen was by far better quality and cheaper with nice modern touches. But apart from my superior knowledge to yours, this comment is valid and he knows well enough that if they had put a German badge on the car they would have given it 9/10. These presenters are just haters, as well as you!
Normally I do not find Citroens too ugly, but this one looks not that nice.

It has a bmw X1 platform. The gearbox is an aisin 8 speed which is the same as the 2017 bmw x1. The car is pretty good tbh, disappointed a lil bit with the scores tho, not that the brits suv is any better tho.
It is based on the EMP2 platform which it shares with the C5 Aircross amongst other PSA cars. It does have an Aisin transmission though.
Nonsense the DS would make Mercedes, Audi and BMW run away and cry in a corner I don't know why every new car brand I see everyone shames it because they think oh no they can't have that piece of equipment because it's copying Audi or Mercedes.

The most amateuristic review ever...... Everyone knows that Citroën & DS are always putting everything on Comfort instead of sport.... The target audience DS is aiming for are people who want the most comfortable driving experience. Performance is not everything + the pricetag that the German premium brands are charging are abnormal compared to DS. More people are searching for cars that offers comfort over sportiness, especially when it comes to long distance travels.
Swap Ronnie for Andy murrey to get someone a bit more dull
Why buy 40k worth of shite when you could buy a saloon or estate car which is just as practical if not more but also an estate (especially if you got a decent one for 40k instead of spending 18k and saving the rest) you will get a better resale value

Completely pointless test, agree with other comments about sticking german badges to over inflate opinions (which is very wrong considering how shite german cars are). At the end of the day, it's a very expensive citroen; like an Audi is an overpriced Seat/Skoda.

FYI from viewer prospective, both appeared equal or similar enough, but Audi appeared a little better... less shaking and rolling in the rough part ..the DS7 to me looked like was too much side to side travel, and that's not good ride quality... it just makes me think less controlled body movements.
Having quite a lot of experience with the ds7 I can say that that suspension is very good at absorbing small imperfections on the road, you basically don't feel them. But it's not so good over big imperfections or off roading. That suspension wasn't made to be good off road it was designed to be brilliant on road.

Simply put, it's not a well designed car. The Audi Q5 is a perfect example of excellent design where all the principles of design (which are objective, mathematical, not a matter of taste) were met. However, a lot of people don't have any education in design and don't understand it, that's why they fall for cars that compensate for their bad design by being shocking. They do things that are different just for the sake of being different, and that aims at the psychological phenomenon in people that makes them believe something new and different is automatically better. But it's not always the case. That's why that Audi Q5 will look excellent, tasteful, well proportioned, etc. in 30 years, and this DS will look like shit in 5 years when then novelty of it's crappy design wears off.
Just look at new audis
And I rather buy a Peugeot 3008

The whole world knows that the Brits hate the French, but in this video you people went too far. This attitude of yours took the whole lot of British car manufacturers to their once slave country India. I loved to see your videos and liked the humour in them but I am sad to watch this particular one. I hope you can do better job in terms of actually testing automobiles and not just fooling around them. All the best to all of you guys.
On point. Its poetic justice that the British Motor Industry went to their subjects in India not a good thing, but they need to be humble and stop bashing the French.
