Thank you guys. This is very helpful. Can you send or link if you have a video of how to start this pathway? General registration/standard pathway? Im currently a 4th year surgical resident in the philippines, but im getting bored with the training.
I have done MD internal medicine from nepal and finished usmle step 1, 2, 3. which will be good for me : MRCP Ireland or AMC EXAM. how competitive is to get job in Ireland after MRCP Ireland exam
Thanks for the amazing content. I just have a doubt. So while I prepare my CV, I will also be mentioning my achievements and english proficiency test scores in it. So should I attach the certificates and IELTS test scores along with my CV in the same PDF as my supporting documents ?? Or just the CV is enough ??
Hi Mark and Marize, thanks for all the information you guys have been sharing. Congrats on securing a job in Australia! I have passed my AMC 1 and am currently looking for jobs. I would like to know how long did it take for you from passing your AMC 1 to getting your first interview, getting a job offer, getting Visa granted and finally working in Australia (a rough timeline)? Thank you so much!
Hello doctors, Congratulations on securing a job! I recently passed the AMC MCQ exam and I live outside of Australia. How can I apply for jobs? Do you think I have any chance?
Hi, that was a very good video I wanted to ask a questiin, Can you give sone examples of how to get hospital experience before applying for job as you mentioned. I would really appreciate that
Hi doctors, congratulations on securing a job offer! Would it be okay to disclose the salary? Can you also make a video regarding the Australian Healthcare system? Thank you so much!
Hi, thank you! The average annual pay for RMOs is around 85,000-115,000 AUD depending how heavy your workload is. About the healthcare system we will make a video of that in the near future 😉
Thank you for the video. it is very informative for other IMGs. I wanted to kindly ask if it is possible for you to share the excel form you have made of all hospitals that one can apply with limited registration.
Hello doctors, congratulations on passing the exam and securing a job in Australia. You guys mentioned that you were doing PG in your home country. So when you submitted your RESUME/CV it would have been a strong one.I just have MBBS and a work experience of 4 years in clinic(No emergency procedures were done). How can i move forward for AMC RMO jobs.(Passed AMC 1)
Hi doctors! Congratulations! Aspiring this track too. If I may ask? For recency of practice, is moonlighting valid? What documents are needed to help support these experiences? Thank you doc 😊
hi doctor! thank you for your amazing videos I'm a IMG, a general surgeon in my home country. I have done only 10 months of internship due to personal reasons(mandatory military service), but I do have a valid internship completion certificate. I've heard that when I apply to AHPRA for provisional/limited registration following job offer such as HMO, JMO, AHPRA may still reject my application if they don't recognize my internship certificate. Do you have any knowledge if AHPRA requires overseas internship to be at least 12 months long or what rotations must have been done? thank you
Hi, we’re not sure if there’s a specific number of months but as long as you have an internship certificate, we think it should be fine. They didn’t ask us about specific rotations but if you rotated through core rotations like medicine, surgery, ED it should be okay 😊
Hello doctors, do you highly recommend to enroll in a review center for AMC? Or self review is enough, given that the applicant has time to do self review. Thank you doctors
It really depends on you, if you have the time and can organise your study schedule and remain focused with self-studying. Review centers can be pricey too.
Hi doctors! Is it better to apply for jobs during the RMO campaigns? I wanted to take the exam this April, but would not be fully prepared to sit the exam by then, since I am also working. I was wondering if I sit the exam by May or June, if would be able to secure a job if I start applying in July-August
Hi, there are still hospitals offering positions all throughout the year as there are some unfilled positions, so it’s better to focus on passing exam first for now. Best of luck!
Hi doc! You mentioned the campaign period. Can you recall which particular month does it happen, so i can plan my review around it? Thank you for the very helpful video. :)
Hi, the campaign we applied for started around June 2022. The exact dates differ per state. Not sure if there is another campaign period aside from that. You can check each state’s website. :)
Hello doctors! I’m curious about whether there is a couple match mechanism in the campaign portal? Or is there a way to make sure the two of you been offered jobs at the same hospital? Thanks a lot!
Hi, as far as we know, there is no couple matching in Aus unlike in the US. However, we believe they do consider the applicant if he/she mentions they have a partner who is already employed in the hospital.
Hi doctors! Congratulations on securing a job offer! I recently passed the AMC MCQ exam and currently on the process of looking for jobs. Would like to ask if you have any tips on how to answer the selection criteria. Thank you so much!
Hi doctors, thanks a lot for the tips! I would just like to know how many years did you work in your home country after graduating? I passed my AMC pt1 examination, and I'm now only starting my internship in my home country (the internship is 2 years) . I'm just wondering if it's possible to start applying to these jobs after 1 year of my home country's internship
Hi, around 3 years which includes internship. Not sure if you can apply if you haven’t finished the internship because they will most likely ask for your internship certificate.
may I ask if i as a GP hope to apply for visa 190, in order to pass the skill assessment, must I first get a general/limited registration in amc? that means I’ll have to pass at least the amc mcq before applying the visa?
Hi Doctors, it is possible kaya to get a job after passing the AMC MCQ even if no clinical experience yet? Kakapasa lang ng board exam here in the Philippines. Thank you!
Hi, you can try but it’s not advisable since you have to submit your CV to ahpra and prove you have the experience. At least do 2 years including internship. In general they prefer candidates with more years of experience.
Congratulations doctors :) I'm a physio in PH and will soon be migrating to Aus under the 482 visa. I will also apply a dependent visa on my husband who is also a doctor, however he is still in the middle of his residency (Rehab Med). Do you think it will be much easier for him to process being an IMG if he will finish his residency and diplomate exam before applying? What is the best pathway for him. Thank you.
Hi, thank you! It will be better if he finishes residency and diplomate exam bec of the added years of experience and title. We’re not that familiar with the competent authority pathway, but from what we’ve heard, the standard pathway is still the best way to go, same with many consultants in the Philippines had done.
Hi doctors, one doubt to obtain a WBA do we need a work visa? As well as for clinical observership do we need any work visa? If so what visa should we go for.
Hello doctors, when you pass the amc mcq 1 are you at the RMO level? or what would your status be? I am about to graduate and I would like to know if it would be convenient for me to have some experience in my country for at least 1 year and then go to Australia
Yes more years of experience would be a good factor when applying for jobs. If you’re on a limited reg (passed only AMC1), most if not all work at an RMO level.
Is it possible to get RMO positions as an IMG with no prior clinical experience. I completed my internship in 2022 and would like to know if it would be easy to secure an RMO position.
Hi docs congrats on securing job I have been trying for job from india after amc 1 not able to recieve any positive reply. Did u guys apply via seek or indeed or directly through each hospital profiile and may i know the keyword used for searching iob
hello po doctors. i just want to ask po doc if is it at all possible for any IMGs with limited experience and gap year to secure job offers with only clinical observership as an experience? thank you po.

Hi doctors. I hope both of you are doing well. Congratulations to both of you on getting job in Australian health care. I am a fresh graduate from Pakistan and want to persue my career and future in Australia. But my seniors and colleague try to convince me that PLAB route and UK is better than Australia and u won't pass the AMC Clinical as its very very difficult. And U won't get a job with experience of internship only. I am so confused about that. Can you put some light on it. Thanks a lot. And in the start of video you told me that you switched to AMC path from PLAB path. Here in Pakistan a lot of fresh graduates are confused over this matter. Can u please make a video on this matter. Thank you so much 💥❤️
Hi, thank you 😊 yes we understand and totally feel your concerns. PLAB route is relatively easier than the AMC route, but we have personal reasons for choosing AMC instead. We will make a video of that soon when we have the time. Best of luck in your journey! ❤️
Thanks a lot dr for your reply. Here in my country a lot of fresh graduates are confused between the two choosing PLAB route and AMC route. Moreover I have come to know that despite passing AMC MCQ and CLINICAL exam pne needs someone in Australia dor securing the job. Is it true? Thanks again

Hi thank you! Yes moonlighting in the Philippines is valid since you are still practicing as a physician. You can get an COE from your employers.
Thank you for the response, doc! 😊 .. is OEC the same with certificate of employment?
Hi apologies for the typo, its COE, certificate of employment :)
Thank you, doc! 💕

After clearing AMC PART 1 how many months it takes to get a job in Australia?
Can you explain about 10 weeks medicine,10 weeks surgery and 8 weeks ED do we have to do these rotations in Australia
Yes in Australia 😊 you need minimum of these weeks to get your general registration
Hi doctors! Congratulations on securing a job offer! I recently passed the AMC MCQ exam and currently on the process of looking for jobs. Would like to ask if you have any tips on how to answer the selection criteria. Thank you so much!
Hi, thank you 😊 you can give 2-3 examples each based on your clinical experience and use the STAR format.

Yes, you have to pass AMC MCQ first.

No, we applied to other hospitals as well since hospitals with WBA are limited in number.
It seems to be impossible for me been outside Australia with 9+ years of experience+ master 😑

Hello doctors....what will be the scope of junior doctors after 2-3 years? Does Australia need junior Doctors in future?

I wanted to ask is it comparatively easy to fetch a job in regional areas of Australia?
Yes, just keep applying. Many hospitals are still short-staffed.
