  • L5 S1 Disc Herniation with Foot Drop Recovery without surgery
Sangeet is an online client who lives in Bahrain and has been suffering from L5 S1 disc herniation and foot drop for one year. He wasn't able to walk without a limp and his left side was totally numb with severe lack of strength. He was suffering from severe lower back pain and was not able to sleep.
He has been suggested to do surgery, but he decided to contact me and we have started his rehab plan 3 months ago with me and this is his recovery video that I would like to share with you. His lower back pain, sciatica pain and discomfort has been improved completely and he is almost pain free.
In this video I've simply gone through his story and he shares with you what he went through since he got his MRI report and how he found the online program so far.
If you are suffering from sciatica, disc bulges, disc herniation, conservative treatment and customized rehab exercises are the 1st and best option for your recovery.
If you need help, feel free to leave me a comment and I would be happy to help. If you need further assistance you can always book an online consultation for a customized rehab plan.

Hi, 28 year old female with L5 S1 disc herniation here with minor low back pain, no leg pain. Did physical therapy; worked to an extent but the pain would roll out again. Went to pain management for an ESI steroid shot, it’s been a little over 24 hrs when I got the shot, it was local anesthetic only no full sedatives. And right when the shot was administered pain started radiating down both my legs causing to lose feeling & numbness down to my knee/feet. Pain mostly stayed in my left leg. I had never felt something like that and wouldn’t wish it on anybody. As of now the left leg pain is still lingering with a bit of numbness all the way down to my feet every now and then making it difficult to rely on both feet confidently when before both were in good standing. I can still walk. It hurts more to sit up right now. I can’t sit for long periods. And the pain of the injection area is sensitive & throbs a bit. I was wondering if it’s normal to have felt that during the procedure because now it has me scared for the rest of my life. And my current left leg situation. I just want to be able to move again and be happy I want to be able to run😔

Hi Bob, I am suffering from a very bad condition of bilateral sciatica. I have had a surgery microdiscectomy 12 yrs back when my l5 s1 disc was partially removed. I had receovered but then in the last couple of years i had intermittent pain in both legs. but i never had continuous pains. so i thought maybe it was just something else. But recently on 9th jan, i went cycling and sciatica kicked in. I got an MRI, this is the diagnosis
"Significant desiccation with moderate height reduction of L5-S1 disc is seen.
L5-S1: Diffuse annular bulge effacing anterior epidural fat, just abutting bilateral S1 traversing
nerve roots and mildly narrowing bilateral neural foramina."
Not sure, but as i understand, the disc is touching centrally. i am just worried, and pray it doesnt lead to something dangerous like Cauda equina syndrome. Please help.

I have an S1 l4-5 hernia and it presses on this nerve. Doctors told me that this can be fixed with surgery and that physical therapy and exercises will not help. But this pain went away after 1 week. I only have a little sciatica pain and I can't step on the tip of my left toe. But I realized that when I rest for a few hours, stand up and step on my left toe, I can walk for 2 steps. Then it falls again. There is no problem in my walking except a slight limp. Although I tell them that I think I am getting better, the doctors say that it will not get better. Please help me.

    IN NEED OF YOUR HELP!
    Hi Bob,
    I am 26 years old.
I have slight bulge at L4-L5 and disc Herniation at L5-S1.
It has been three weeks since I got to know about it.
Current situation is that I am on meds and on bed rest.
No pain in my lower back as of now , I am able to talk but Since last week My my left foot is weaker - there is slight numbness around my toe fingers and loss of power at my toe thumb and foot drop is there.
Though I am able to walk and no pain on my lower back.
I am yet to start my physiotherapy.
Should I go for a surgery? What do you suggest?
    Hoping for a reply.
    Thank you.
