Here is a recap if you want to cut to the chase: "Follow the Rule of One 1. One good IDEA. 2. One implicit or stated PROMISE. 3. One STORY that conveys it. 4. Everything with one consistent EMOTION. 5. Leading to one ACTION or state of mind that the reader is being lead to." I also read somewhere that he follows A.I.D.A. rule: Attention, Interest, Desire, and Action (AIDA). So, this video shows how Michael Masterson adopted the latter rule in his copywriting. The heart of the video starts around 45:35 followed by examples.
What an outstanding speaker. He speaks extemporaneously, makes eye contact with everyone in the audience, and uses simply language, with minimal umms and aahs. And his explanation of the concept was fantastic. An example for public speakers everywhere!
As a person who has many books on advertising from the early 1900's, it always funny when I hear these modern gurus claim they invented a certain concept or aspect of advertising or even marketing in general. There are literally many books from 1900-1910 speaking on these very subjects in great detail. many of these book are super hard to find, so these modern gurus take the credit and present themselves as the expert for the ancient's concept Claude Hopkins, John Caples, Robert Collier wasn't the only ones using those concepts, nor did they invent them
This is bold statement unless you give the proof. You know these books? You know these authors? What’s the problem to name it? ! You are just a troll who knows nothing. Just a little unhappy person who has a lot of insecurities, nothing made in life.

Super insightful presentation. I'm new to copywriting, but I know enough to discern the value in this talk.

What’s an Fk score?
It is a readability score... so the lower the score the lower the level. Keeping a low level allows you to communicate more clearly.
