Wow! You put a lot on my plate today. I'll need some time to wind down before turning in. My score was 33/50. Not too bad. I really lucked out because my teacher is so amazing. I'm sure I can count on you to beef up my English skills. I'm committed, and I'll stand by that. I won't grow out of your lessons. I hope you go ahead and give away more tips on how to become fluent in English. You're the best, Jennifer! 💕
Wow. This one is a gem! It's very practical set of phrasal verbs. I really appreciated you. Thank you for all your effort. You're the best teacher in RUclips! ❤❤❤❤
This is my first comment for you. Nice video teacher Jennifer. English isn't a dreadful language because of you. I never missed your every week videos. you rock. I want to push your buttons to put more videos just like this😊 Now I got a lot on my plate with phrasal verbs in this video but I continue and practice those.❤
My score is 8 out of 10 with Group 1,2. Then, 6 out of 10 with Group 3,4. 7 out of 10 with Group 5 because, I remembered this lesson well. Thank you for the tests and lessons.
Excellent presentation. But I think you sometimes ignore the punctuation ! One example: 55:15 Quiz 10. ...... 2 hours long, so I ..... ; the comma after 'long'. I am not a native speaker. Please correct me if I was wrong. Thank you very much for the lessons.
Hey J., just swung by to let you know it’s such a brilliant idea to retrieve old videos on any topic, especially the ones on PVs. The PVs I used to struggle with (many 🥴) were real tough cookies for me. But once you get the hang of 'em, they just flow smoothly out of your mouth. Sounds super-duper to me 😊😊. Really appreciate your effort and teachings a great deal. Thanks. Way to go. Love from Italy.”
Greetings dear Professor, your classes are excellent, not only do I learn, I also enjoy them. Maybe if it were possible to add an episode number to each video, it would be easier to find and keep the order of each one. It's just a suggestion that would greatly improve learning. And it would be easier to refer to a specific video. Thank you, a thousand blessings.
Super great and a billion thanks for all your teaching, my only problem is that i am bit hard of hearing but thanks to your closed captions i can follow you with "no sweat" have a nice whatever till later ---henry lee reggam
Good afternoon once again Ms. J Forrest sorry to bother you once more ---i am not a native speaker, and i am learning a whole lot from watching your most insightful explanations, could you please tell us how to use "give me a break"? or explain the following verbs: lie-lay----rise-raise---hang-hung ---and gee, please forgive my ignorance i know your job must be very challenging but at the same time very fulfilling right? ----again, have a nice whatever yours truly HLR
it was hard to find the article you loaded.. so i would like to ask here on this comment what is the meaning of "such a suck" in one of your articles? thank you Ma'am
Actually, at least for slavic people there is one quite a reliable way to learn at least 50% of English so called "phrasal verbs" . Historically in old English the prepositions in them were prefixes, so you must just define which russian prefix corresponds to the preposition in phrasal verb. For instance verb Fly in russian translates Leteť . So Fly away will be U-leteť, Fly out Vy - leteť. Fly up -Pod-leteť, Fly into - V-leyeť ect. With for ex. the verb jump (prygnuť)it will be the same: Jump out - vyprygnuť, junp in - vprygnuť, jump up - podprygnuť ect. Of course, it won't be working 100%, maybe it would be good if it works in 50%, but anyway, it would be an essentiual help for slavic leaners, since slavic prefixes in slavic languages are quite similar😂
@JForrestEnglish But it won't work with English figurative or slang verbs. Quite a few of them corresponds to russian ones, but with another prefixes. For ex. Catch on, since Catch in russian is Loviť , corresponds to russian U-loviť , but prefix U corresponds to Away, not On. And Catch up for inst. correlates, but there is you need another verb, which anyway you may translate as Catch Pod-Hvatiť. And Carry away as well correlates U- vlech, U- nestis'.😇 And of course Merry Christmas to my favorite English internet teacher and I wish you all the best!🤩 In Russia Christmas will be the next year, I hopе by that time I will be able to see your lessons on U-tube. So far it's possible on home computer😃 Good luck to us all!
