His story, has ended. "Rest well, my guardian". "You have completed your task, and honored the memory of an old man with your final sacrifice". "I shall see you soon, old friend." These words echoed slightly, in the King's Tomb, as his ghostly image slowly faded. One final beam of sunlight shown through the shattered remains of the once grand window, faintly illuminating the gem on the guardians head. One may have said it looked like the comforting hand of an old friend.
How many years have passed. He spenta long, long time there. He no longer cared if the harpoon weound hurt or if seagulls pecked at his back. he already knew. That his lord will never come back. he already knew, That the Lords race did not have a lonh life span like his own. He already knew, The war was long over. No pain anywhere anymore. He slowly closed his eyes and he remembered the warm palm of the lords hand on this forehead.
You made me cry for a fictional shark, and had me mesmerised again by your meticulous process. You are one talented person. And your guardian series are always a delight to see. ❤❤❤
Why Thallasso Hobbyer is such a good youtuber: 1. Takes over 3 months making a diorama 2. Remakes models that had a mistake, no matter how frustrating it may be 3. Willing to go the extra mile to make every intricate detail to make his diorama look realistic 4. Breaks some part of his diorama to give it a ruined vibe, even if it meant destroying hours or even days worth of work 5. Does all of this for us to enjoy
"My earnings are not enough." Dude, you charge orders of magnitude below what anyone would expect. You are one of the most incredible artists I have ever seen on RUclips. You made Meg art, the director responded. You made Subnautica art, the developers commissioned you. You're a storyteller, your original pieces like this are creative original, thought-provoking, emotional, and leave any observer wanting more, expanding it in their mind, saddened that both the story ends here in terms *of* the art, and *in* the art. They're even strangely relatable. Not to mention the countless other virtues required to be an artist like you, not to mention your artistic integrity. If ever I could afford it, I would gladly pay tens of thousands for one of these masterpieces. Stop being so damn humble! P.S. Yes people wish they you could post more videos, but no-one is mad. People (mostly) understand that quality work takes time, and this isn't mass-produced and clickbaity like some other dioramas on RUclips. And fuck anyone who actually cares about the realism of the stained glass.
If he sold this for les than 10k it's a rip off. This is genuine art. It should be treated as such, way more than some of the so called art sold for millions at galleries that's like a red line on a white canvas.
This diorama is one of the most beautiful I've ever seen. I haven't cried in ages but immediately started tearing up when I saw this, didn't know I needed to cry that much. It broke my heart to hear you aren't getting paid enough, I hope more people recognize your beautiful creations.
I have cried and will continue crying for so long. This is simply beautiful. The undying loyalty and love makes my heart hurt in such an exquisitely beautiful and painful way. If I had the money to buy this, I would. Never sell yourself short. Your art is worth so much. You are truly an artist. I would love to read this story. A short one, maybe. How you tell such stories in this way is phenomenal. Thank you for sharing this with us. I’m gonna go eat while still crying. ❤️
This guy makes absolute masterpieces and says he was “inexperienced”. God i could never do that even with decades of experience. I understand that he tries to overcome himself and thats incredible but definitely everyone thinks that every single one of your works is astonishing!
Oh man I definitely cried over this one, but I'm so glad you were able to revisit this project! I definitely understand the yearn to perfect past art pieces, growth and practice always brings better results! Thank you so much for posting again!
I don’t usually cry when I see a diorama, but the story was so sweet and sad 🥺 I am happy to wait for new videos as well. The quality of your work takes time and the skill and attention to detail are worth the wait! Thank you for your creativity, and hard work!
The art that you create is always absolutely wonderful, it's always exciting when one of your videos is released! The time and effort that you put into these projects really shows, so thank you for all that you do! Edit: also, the story for this video is beautiful! I feel for the shark and hope he's at peace
Im not crying at the reveal story, you're crying! This is such a gorgeous piece and its fantastic to see your skills ever improving! Your dioramas have actually helped me kick my fear of deep water because all your guardians are so nice, thank you!

Thanks! I've been watching you for a while now. I'm always blown away by the level of dedication and detail in everything you make. All your work is awesome but this and The Well That Never Runs Dry and Guardian are my two favorite ones. Thank you for your hard work. I hope more people will support you financially so we can keep seeing amazing work from you. So talented.
Not me crying from this absolutely stunning art and bittersweet story. It's been an emotional day. But really, your art is the most incredible artwork I have ever seem, and I honestly believe you don't get paid enough for the things you create. But seeing you create is so inspiring. Thank you so much
I'm struck by the peace and serenity captured on the guardians face. I couldn't look away from it. You are an incredibly skilled person and have my deepest respect.
I love the small bits of fantasy storytelling you include. The guardian isn't a monster, it's more like a loyal companion which, tragically, outlived its master, and is now oh so painfully alone. The entire scene is a mere shadow of what once was a vibrant and holy sanctum.
no diorama has touched me like this one has. when the realization hit from the sword being placed onto the box and it became clear you were making a coffin and not a treasure chest like i originally assumed from the thumbnail, my heart squeezed. coupled with the fact that the coffin has a gem matching the guardian, and the story at the end? this is the first diorama video to make me tear up due to the raw emotion i was made to feel. not only is the craftsmanship gorgeous and incredibly admirable, but the way this art tells such a bittersweet story, all from a scene frozen in time, is absolutely phenomenal. i think if this piece was in my home i'd get nothing done because i'd stare at it all day and get lost in the details and story of it all. beautifully done, thank you for sharing this with us 🩵
This remake shows how far your skills develop and I really love the new version. I feel like hugging the guardian 😢. But anyway, Awesome work and inspiring to see your process and commentary.
I dunno why I suddenly cried after seeing the finish product ... I don't even know the full story of the "shark" guardian, but there's something captivating about it 😭❤ Thank you for your hardwork! You may sometimes feel that you're not improving, but believe me, YOU'VE IMPROVED!!! you're always improving!!! And yes, this work of yours is definitely worth for auction, so be confident! Looking forward to your future projects 💝😌❤
There doesn’t need to be realism in these pieces. Your detail is enough to bring tears from beauty to my eyes. Every bit about this is amazing. No need to apologize for stained glass windows. They’re gorgeous.
Your work is incredible! There are other diorama artists on RUclips, but most use 3D printers. No shame in that, but your work is that much more impressive because everything is done by hand. You are awesome! Keep up the amazing work!
Art, especially skillfully done art, is part of what makes for a healthy society. We have to be able to recognize beauty in more forms than just erotic or romantic ones. You, time and time again, have channeled your creativity to make gorgeous and emotional pieces of art. I hope you know what a gift you have. Much love from USA.
The original version has always been one of my favorites of your wonderful creations. But this one is equally as amazing. And in many ways so much greater. Watching you create such wonderful things as this makes the writer in me conjure up a grand story. One of pain, sorrow, happiness, and loneliness. And one of hope. Thank you for sharing such amazing creations.
Many, many centuries had passed since the very last of the lord’s kin had visited, the once grand halls of the cathedral had become worn down and water from the surrounding lake had engulfed the grand building allowing for the lord’s guardian to enter. He had watched over the small forgotten building for ages warding off trespassers as he was told by his great friend before he passed. As time passed the place had turned from a holy site to a haunted place. Many people went to hunt the guardian having entirely forgotten his noble deeds and purpose. He was spurned and shunned from the city he used to watch over. As he lay by his lord’s coffin he remembers him, his greatest friend and king. He remembered when they both met for the first time, the boy’s friend had fallen into the lake and he dove in to save her. His friend was an orphan the daughter of a blacksmith who had died years back and since then she had been poor. The king, merely a prince then of noble birth dove in to the lake to save a poor girl of far less importance. That was the moment he knew that this boy was destined to be a great and kind king. He took the children upon his back and took them back to the city and in the boys hands was a crown with a ruby embedded within, a symbol of the guardian’s favor. Ever since then the boy visited the lake and so too did the guardian go to meet him and they became close. Soon however the peaceful times had changed and war had broken out with a kingdom overseas. The prince had fought in this war alongside the guardian with a sword given to him by his best friend who had inherited her fathers smithing talent. The two became known as the greatest warriors of the kingdom and together they drove back the enemy but just as all seemed well, disaster struck. The old king had become gravely ill and soon the kingdom fell into disarray but the prince took it upon him to continue to lead his father’s army and soon victory was theirs. But as the kingdom was without a king a court was to be held to decide upon the next ruler. They all looked to the great prince to take the crown for who else would be worthy to take the crown. And soon the Prince had become the King and eventually found love with his greatest friend. As more years passed by the King grew older and had children but none carried the purity of heart nor the will to lead as he did. More and more time passed until the king had succumbed to disease as his father did. And as he spoke his last words to the guardian by the lake just as he used to when he was young he told him “I oblige you, old friend look after the people as I longer can for I trust you with all my heart with all I have done”. And so the guardian remains no matter how lonely it gets without his king. Beside the kings coffin upon which his blade rests and the ruby from his crown lie embedded. Absolutely loved this piece, very inspiring to make stories off of I’ll probably draw something based off of this
this is one interesting wiew . . looks like the massive fish could have been "engineered to trust humans" because of that gem inplant but I feel like the invert can also work just as well . . . I mean they say "great size comes with great responsibility" for a good reason
I love that you're actually telling us how many mistakes you've made. This is no way slander - I genuinely love your work and watching your videos give me peace. You've inspired me to pick up dioramas myself, and I was fairly surprised how many mistakes I've made, but I was prepared. I hope to be as great as you are one day. Your videos keep me going - thanks for uploading.
What an absolutely stunning and magnificent piece of art...and the back-story...I shed tears for the guardian. 🥺🥀 I love this. It's so beautiful and heartbreaking.
This is deeply moving. A longing so tender, so gentle and so heartbreaking at the same time. Quiet grief on the verge of a peaceful sleep. Supreme loyalty. Supreme devotion. Supreme love. This shark has the face of a dog lying at the tomb of its owner. Having done all he could. No longer needing to wake up…and possibly no longer wanting to. It is a very special, beautiful kind of pain. Thank you.
Stunning work! I was hoping you'd fill up the window with coloured glass, and you did! Thanks for the inspiration (even though you made me cry over an imaginary shark:))
You say, for some reason you felt guilty adding harpoons to the shark, that means you are a good person and you care about nature, and you don’t want to harm creatures, even if they are inanimate objects you treat them as if they are animate(alive) I love that, I love your work, keep going and keep creating amazing things.
You kept adding new stunning details, and I kept getting frustrated that I couldn't "like" the video multiple times. This is so beautiful and intricate and every hour of work you put in SHOWS. Also, you made me get watery-eyed up over a fictional shark and his long-gone companion. I did not expect that. Sharks scare me, but I kinda want to give this one a hug. Which is not a thing I have ever wanted to do to a shark, before. Your work is amazing!
Of all your stunningly amazing works, this is absolutely my favorite. The details from the stones, the pillars, to the stained glass, the story behind the piece are wonderful, as well as the heartbreaking peaceful expression of the guardian which I love the most
The part where you felt guilty for adding harpoons into him hit me right in the emotions; it reminded me of Trico from The Last Guardian when you first find him… Great work as always; the soothing music and therapeutic actions you do always soothe me when I’m upset ❤️
I already left a comment about how much your artistic journey has been a joy to watch. I can't give much but I wanted to give something back for the hard work and dedication you have gifted us all over the years.
I always love the environmental story telling in your pieces, these giant creatures covered in scars continuing to watch over places that are abandoned and crumbling yet still so important to them 😭💔
Truly breathtaking… the glass adds so much color and almost a romantic feeling to such a sad story/piece. Beautiful! Thank you so much for all your hard work.
I love it when people revisit past works because they want to see what they can do with their improved skills - this is so wholesome and the level of care and attention in your work is inspiring!
I'm crying. I feel so much for him. You created such an expressive story frozen at the last moment of it. It's beautiful and so sad and I feel a great respect to this old wounded dying guardian. He waited for so long. He was devoted to the end of it. It hurt me to see him slowly leaving this world but it's purifying my soul. Thank you very much!
You never fail to give me a sense of pure Joy and contentment. I wish I could express exactly how I feel watching you work, but it's hard. On a side note, don't worry too much about the stained glass, glass isn't subject to the same weathering that stone might experience, so, as long as the exact conditions surrounding the ruins are unknown, it is more than plausible, that the glass could survive. At least a piece of it.
I can’t tell you how many times I thought “They can’t do better than that.” Then you blow me away. The amount of detail and thought you put into your work is worth every second I spend waiting. Please continue to tell a story with your pieces and continue your story. Thank you! Take all the time you need. (:
The story at the end of this video had me crying. Thank you so much for your hard work, your art pieces are always so entrancing to watch come together. I love your videos so much. Keep up the good work!
In a world where creators are turning to more and more low-skill, easy approaches like 3D printing, it's good to see someone taking more traditional steps. Well done.
If you want custom 3D figures that nobody else has done, you'd need to know how to design a digital version to transfer to the 3D printer. It still requires skill. Just in a different form.
@@hellcat1401 true but manual labor takes much more rigor and practice thus should be celebrated in higher proportion. Remember we live in a world where people start to argue that making a prompt "another kind of skill, just like artist"
@@dimasakbar7668 youre doubling down on the ignorance of the op. You absolutely couldnt design shit for 3d printing and its obvious neither of you understand it at all.
@@Doomsblues i couldn't but i could purchase or commission someone to make the STL on my behalf, then to proceed with making diorama from it. My point still stands that manual creation with hand tools should be more celebrated than one facilitated with technology. I never said 3D printing takes no skill, or shouldn't be celebrated.
I never shed a tear from the beauty of a diorama... Until now. I'm beyond floored by the work, and story, that you've created here. There are no words that I can think of, except "Wow". Your postings of videos may be few, but they are more than worth the wait. I can't wait to see the next Masterpiece that you create. Thank you for sharing this one
This was beautifully done and really moving. I can absolutely understand anyone who was moved to tears by this magnificent work. Also, I never before used this option of RUclips but your work is well worth it.
Why am I crying for this shark guardian? Not only is your art incredibly detailed and beautiful, you also com with amazing stories for your pieces. Rest well, brave Guardian, and dream of better days.
Watching again a long while later to see if it was as sad as I remember Edit: the answer is yes. Tears are streaming down my face right now! WHY IS THIS VIDEO MORE POWERFUL THAN ANY MOVIE IVE SEEN IN THE LAST 20 yrs???
What a stunning piece, your dioramas never cease to amaze me! And what an absolutely heart-wrenching and bittersweet narrative to go along with such a gorgeous creation. Lovely, lovely work. I can't contribute much money at the moment, but I still want to support your amazing work. Keep doing the amazing things you do, it's an absolute joy to watch your processes and see the breathtaking builds you put together. Much love ❤
Thalasso, watching the video of how you built it from start to finish was truly a gift to everyone who can appreciate your talent. Seeing how much you put into it, i know you have plans to auction it but, I HOPE it remains in your personal collection! Then one day, perhaps you can have it put in a famous art museum so your talent can be remembered always.
I've watched this video 6 times now and I'm blown away by the care, craftsmanship and mastery of the result. I am a teacher and I showed my class two videos: Absolute Silence and Awe! I have never experienced anything like it. You are a role model for them and maybe open up new paths. I am so thankful that there are people like you showing passion. Thank you and all the best on your way.
I am always in awe when you post anything. You wouldn't even have to make a story and just simply seeing your work would be enough. But the story makes it so very poignant and memorable. All I can say is THANK YOU.
Ooh wow!! What an amazing diorama! It is simply gorgeous. So detailed. So refined. A work of art and patience. It truly looks magnificent! 💛✨️ Bravo! The ruins are so very well done. And I love the stained glass rosace window in the background. Maybe not much of it would remain on such a decaying ruin, but still I love that you made it this way cause the result is simply beautiful! The details of the fish’s shadows on thin layer of transparent sheet is such a clever idea! And I must say, as a jeweler, I really do love the ruby touch with the tinfoil under. Makes the gemstones more vivid and shiny. This is such a top-notch touch! Thank you for making such art and thank you for making a video of the process. It was so wonderful and interesting to watch! 😊✨️

no diorama has touched me like this one has. when the realization hit from the sword being placed onto the box and it became clear you were making a coffin and not a treasure chest like i originally assumed from the thumbnail, my heart squeezed. coupled with the fact that the coffin has a gem matching the guardian, and the story at the end? this is the first diorama video to make me tear up due to the raw emotion i was made to feel. not only is the craftsmanship gorgeous and incredibly admirable, but the way this art tells such a bittersweet story, all from a scene frozen in time, is absolutely phenomenal. i think if this piece was in my home i'd get nothing done because i'd stare at it all day and get lost in the details and story of it all. beautifully done, thank you for sharing this with us 🩵
This is so beautiful and moving. Your improvement is obvious to see from the quality of this piece. Well done.
This remake shows how far your skills develop and I really love the new version. I feel like hugging the guardian 😢. But anyway, Awesome work and inspiring to see your process and commentary.
I dunno why I suddenly cried after seeing the finish product ... I don't even know the full story of the "shark" guardian, but there's something captivating about it 😭❤
Thank you for your hardwork!
Much love from USA.

love your works!!
Every once in a while I come back to see your videos. So many of them are breathtaking. Keep up the good work!
これは凄い....技術も凄いけど完成まで持っていく忍耐力が特に素晴らしい。。今まで見てきたジオラマの中でもダントツで一番感動しました。。
Absolutely loved this piece, very inspiring to make stories off of I’ll probably draw something based off of this
Bruh why did this make me cry
This was acually beautiful ,brought tears to my eyes🥹
this is one interesting wiew . . looks like the massive fish could have been "engineered to trust humans" because of that gem inplant
but I feel like the invert can also work just as well . . . I mean they say "great size comes with great responsibility" for a good reason
I actually cried. This is almost like a new fairy tale.
Ahhh now you made me cry
Incredible craftsmanship and a touching story. May you continue to make such breathtaking works for years to come.
I came here to watch a person make this beautiful diorama, not to cry about the story behind it.
The story really touched me. Keep up the goodwork.
Omg, that last bit… that set off the tears! 😭
I love this even more than the original!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
What an absolutely stunning and magnificent piece of art...and the back-story...I shed tears for the guardian. 🥺🥀 I love this. It's so beautiful and heartbreaking.
Why did you make him so sad?!?!😭
What's sad about it?
It looks peaceful.
Thank you.
レジン作品みてこんなに号泣すると思わなかった。
美しい素晴らしい作品です。
Stunning work! I was hoping you'd fill up the window with coloured glass, and you did! Thanks for the inspiration (even though you made me cry over an imaginary shark:))
This comment i agree with so much!
I'm so glad to not be the only one to end this video in tears
So glad I’m not the only one oml
Right? This one got me emotionally invested ;w;
The details from the stones, the pillars, to the stained glass, the story behind the piece are wonderful, as well as the heartbreaking peaceful expression of the guardian which I love the most
The part where you felt guilty for adding harpoons into him hit me right in the emotions; it reminded me of Trico from The Last Guardian when you first find him…
Great work as always; the soothing music and therapeutic actions you do always soothe me when I’m upset ❤️
dang, that thing weighs a ton! very nice result!!! Nice storyline to go with it.
I already left a comment about how much your artistic journey has been a joy to watch. I can't give much but I wanted to give something back for the hard work and dedication you have gifted us all over the years.
I always love the environmental story telling in your pieces, these giant creatures covered in scars continuing to watch over places that are abandoned and crumbling yet still so important to them 😭💔
So many facets to what you do. Designing the set, coming up with a compelling story, and also the skill involved in producing it. Amazing work
No diorama has made me cry like this. What a beautiful piece with a both sad and beautiful story
Truly breathtaking… the glass adds so much color and almost a romantic feeling to such a sad story/piece. Beautiful! Thank you so much for all your hard work.
This was absolutely devastating and beautiful... One of the best art I ever seen. ❤️
No diorama work has ever made me feel this much emotion than now. You have no idea how many tears ive shed. I have no words.
I can’t tell you how many times I thought “They can’t do better than that.” Then you blow me away. The amount of detail and thought you put into your work is worth every second I spend waiting. Please continue to tell a story with your pieces and continue your story. Thank you! Take all the time you need. (:
That was beautiful.
Thanks a lot for your support.😊
The story at the end of this video had me crying. Thank you so much for your hard work, your art pieces are always so entrancing to watch come together. I love your videos so much. Keep up the good work!
1番よく見てる作品のリメイクで感動してます😭✨✨
ほびやさんの作品大好き
泣くわこんなに素敵な作品
Thanks for the wonderful artwork! Looking forward for your next work.
This isn't much, but if it can buy you a meal then I'm happy! We need to support people like you whose passion is their job, it is truly inspiring
Merci! Thank-you for making such beautiful pieces of dreams, almost real.
This was beautifully done and really moving. I can absolutely understand anyone who was moved to tears by this magnificent work.
Also, I never before used this option of RUclips but your work is well worth it.
My sincerest thanks to you for your support.
@Thalasso hobbyer たらそほびや You are most welcome.
This just seems so emotional to me. It seems like the guardian has finally rested after such a long time of servitude. They seem peaceful and serene.
Your work is beautiful. Thank you for sharing it with us. ❤
Why am I crying for this shark guardian? Not only is your art incredibly detailed and beautiful, you also com with amazing stories for your pieces. Rest well, brave Guardian, and dream of better days.
Watching again a long while later to see if it was as sad as I remember
Edit: the answer is yes. Tears are streaming down my face right now! WHY IS THIS VIDEO MORE POWERFUL THAN ANY MOVIE IVE SEEN IN THE LAST 20 yrs???
守護者の話が泣かせました。これは本当に美術品ですよ。
What a stunning piece, your dioramas never cease to amaze me! And what an absolutely heart-wrenching and bittersweet narrative to go along with such a gorgeous creation. Lovely, lovely work.
I can't contribute much money at the moment, but I still want to support your amazing work.
Keep doing the amazing things you do, it's an absolute joy to watch your processes and see the breathtaking builds you put together. Much love ❤
This is a gift from my wife and I. Thank you for your amazing work!
This was heartbreakingly beautiful.
Your work is always so beautiful. The story of the Guardian touched me deeply. Thank you so much for sharing!
涙出てきました…大作ですね!トレジャーハンターも「…そっとしておいてやろう」ってなりそうな静謐な世界です。製作者でさえ銛をうつのをためらうなんて、もう魂が宿っている気がしてきました…。
