Hey Sugar Bean! Thank you very much for your videos! I have a question|: it seems like your oven is working when the door is opened?? My oven (Unox Bakerlux) stops working when I open the door to dry my macarons( How do you do that? :) and the fan in the oven starts working like crazy when I close the door because it wants to reach the t 140C fast, my macarons on the sides are flying. Could you give me any advice?
I bought the same arianna bakerlux oven too, at first I couldn't figure out the problem. Try putting a silicone glove at the middle bottom part to crack open the door slightly ( you will see there is some kind of knob/hinge that seal the door , I'm not sure how to describe it well, sorry for my poor English :( ). But the oven will continue to work with lights on when the glove is between the knob/hinge and the door close . And yes, my Teflon sheet is flying off crazily too - i use the big metal paper clips to secure the mat on the tray :)
@@fiona241 Haha, Fiona 😅I’m putting knives and forks on the sides of the sheets which is really pain in the neck when I’m trying to take them out because they are super hot and slippery 😂 great idea about metal clips, I’ll try to find them! 👍 Still don’t understand how Sugar Bean’s macarons are stable and don’t move when fan is working..
I suppose if she’s only oven drying them for 2-3 minutes then it’s ok if the oven doesn’t stay on. Because she preheats it to 120c and in 2-3 minutes of the door being open and the oven being off it probably will drop to about 90c at the lowest but it’s too short a time for it to completely go cold. And she does say to oven dry at between 90c-120c. So it should be fine if your oven doesn’t stay on while the door is open :) I hope that makes sense
@@skitsot9046 absolutely! It works great in usual ovens. I just have a problem with the conventional cause it’s very powerful and it reaches needed temperature very fast but fan is too strong. And I wanted to add that I found out that there are software updates for conventional Unox ovens (that have USB) which include some additional fan setting. It might be helpful for Fiona and others who have these ovens. I’m going to give it a try.

It’s to prevent the sticky sugar layer stick to the top during delivery. It can mess up the other macarons next to it
