Hey msn, I've been thinking about this for a while now: the one thing holding you back the most is your band name. I speak from experience, playing around 70 shows and being in multiple bands--it doesn't matter how talented or brilliant you are (and you certianly are) if no one remembers your band name. And I know what you're thinking: "all virtuoso guitar players' bands are their name." Yeah, but Steve Vai was in Whitesnake first, Yngwie was in Alcatraz, and Marty Friedman and Jason Becker were in other bands before they went solo. Think about it man. Even if your new name is another version of your name it's gotta be catchier and definitely shorter. It could just be Valen. Or Valen Villa. But it's gotta be shorter. It's gotta be memorable. Or no one will remember you. Love from the states. Keep shredding.
